Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

If TCE don't display the market, you are currently, on a planet with multiple markets/locations, please modify the Market, which is not displayed, by opening the Market Database panel, select Modify and thereafter the market from the dropdown list. Check now, if the stored Market coordinates fits with the actual coordinates. If they are different, select the actual coordinates as the market coordinates and save the market. Thereafter TCE should detect the market.

Morning Eventure

For me, even following this, TCE is still not detecting the market after manualling forcing in the coordinates, even with short shuttle runs between two different planets. Is the 'range' on the coordinates to small, as each time I manually update, it's only the last couple of digits of the coordinates that changes each visit?

Thanks for your report. Can you give me the star system/market, I like to recreate it.
You can also give me your database for a check, if you like and the netlog file for the session, you experienced the issue.

What showing the Position Display?

To be sure, I like to explain in how TCE detects multiple markets within the same sector:
TCE checking all markets, if they fit to the star system and sector ID. If multiple markets found, TCE takes the coordinates from the stored markets and subtracting the actual coordinates from the stored one. The leftover are added together and if the sum is below 75 km (threshold level), TCE has found the market.

Perhaps the threshold level could be to low, but tests on some markets showing good results.

Thanks for your help. There is a localization issue with the coordinates. All position data for markets/locations, sharing the same sector are missing a delimiter. Will release a fix soon.
It is required to update the position data for all markets with sharing sector ID's for non-german users, when the fix is released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update (1.3.0.6) released:

Changelog:
- Fixed a critical localization issue in detecting markets, sharing the same Sector ID.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

Due to the localization issue, the position data of markets/locations, sharing the same Sector ID, are stored incorrectly. You only have to update the position data, as described above, for the market to store the proper coordinates.

Hey Eventure,

I've been following the updates closely and have been updating as they come, but I still don't seem to be able to open up my old databases with the new versions.

I sent along my database backup files via PM to you here in the forum, but I'm unsure if that was the format you were looking for?

If its just a busy-ness thing, let me know; I'm more than happy to wait for awhile.

Thanks, and keep up the good work. =)

so tce mkii wont find my game i have followed the instructions to alter the log files and still nothing and add the extra one to no avail can anyone help me please

Sorry for the delay, it got burried. Please remove the TCE_Logbook.db file from your DB folder of TCE. Copy afterwards the TCE_Logbook.tdm file from the TDM folder into the DB folder and rename it back to .db. That should fix your start up issues.

So TCE doesn't find your installation folder of Elite Dangerous and you tried all drives?

If TCE can't find the game by Auto-Detect, you can check yourself, where the game is installed by starting ED and checking via the taskmanager. Look for the executable, right click it and select Properties. There you can see the path of your ED installation.

1.3.0.6 Has done the trick on location selection. Seems to be a new minor bug though - the Route Finder panel has Webdings / Wingdings font on the Search button!

Hi
I've just started using this great tool and it was working fine in 1.3.0.5 but since I upgraded to 1.3.0.7 I keep getting the error "ERROR in 4.Startsequence: Requested Clipboard operation did not suceed." I press ok then i get another error dialog titled PANEL SUMMARY. The error is an Unhandled exception message. I press continue and TC UI comes up but when I press connect i get another unhandled exception in TCE MAIN UI.
A clean install works but i cant import my old database into 1.3.0.5 or 1.3.0.7 now without getting these errors. any Ideas ?

HI,

I do not see the connect button. I have linked the app and I know the system is in the data base as I use the ED Market Connector Via Thrudd. Any ideas please ?

Please look into the guide, made by punkerich for using EDMC with TCE: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=223056&p=3637286&viewfull=1#post3637286

Did you run an app in the backround using the clipboard too?

Hi

Thanks as always for the updates and improvements..

Ive installed the last update and I'm getting this message in a dialogue box

"ERROR in 4.Startsequence: Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero."

If I click OK then TCE does load -- I haven't tested to see if it works though

Thanks

I had that problem after updating last time. Try opening ED Market Connecter once , updating (wait for countdown first) and see that it shows location etc. Close it. Then launch TCE again. This fixed the issue for me after the previous update

Thanks! That did the trick.

Somehow, my saved POIs (Locations) got quintupled (probably by repeated attempts to start the program). Deleting them produced "# Empty : " records in the database. Since I only had a few locations saved, I went ahead and backed up TCE_locations.db and replaced it with the .tdm version, like the solution above, and I'll start fresh with those.

Thanks again for the help! I'm excited to return to using TCE again. =)

Did you started TCE before ED and it is your first start of ED since the 1.6/2.1 update?
If so, then it is okay, ignore it and it should not display again.

Deleting a stored location results in #empty entries at the database. They got filled up, if you store new ones.

I am having an odd issue with this and eliteocr.
My resolution is set to the recommended. However the screen shots generated by this tool are of a smaller resolution than required by eliteocr.
If I manually generate a screenshot it works fine.

An example would be the screen shots generated by hitting F10 are 1920x1080
When I use the scan ocr, the screenshot in the C:\TCE\OCR_BMP is 1536x864 which eliteocr cannot process

Any ideas why the screenshot that TCE is of a smaller size? And any idea how to fix it?

If I use TCE or hit F10, both screenshots have the same resolution. Please check your Field of View slider at the ED graphic options.
Here is the statement of Seeebek, creator of EliteOCR, for this problem: "Increasing FOV in game reduces the size of the significant part of the screenshot! Therefore you will easily get below the limitation. Use standard FOV (approx. 56)!"

@eventure. Today when loading TCE I noticed that during loading the message "fixing logbook" showed. It took unusually time to load. I checked the logbook.db , and the size is now 57 553 kb.
I suspect I will get the same problem as the last time. Any suggestion on how to avoid this happening?
