Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

TCE captures only legal goods, so it can't show illegal goods, either in Trade Overview nor in Trade Advisor. It would be a bad advise from TCE to trade illegal goods. ;)
EliteOCR or EDMC also didn't capture those goods, so they have to be added manually. Therefore I suggest to use the note section for illegal goods.

That is new to me, that these salvage goods could be traded (bought and sold), but perhaps you can make a screenshot, if you discover it again, so I add them to the database as default.
Nevertheless, you can add these goods as trade wares to TCE, if you like, but adding a good, that can't be bought but sold nor getting data about it, beside you having the good into your cargo, didn't make much sense for me.

Maybe I'm not being specific enough,
I'm not talking about special salvage goods but about regularly listed good that are legal in most stations but illegal in some, like
Combat Stabilizers, Personal Weapons, Battle Weapons, Narcotics, Tobacco, Slaves, Imperial Slaves ....

When you look at a station there is a list of Prohibited/illegal goods for that station.

I do not know if EDMC captures that list along with the market data and the rest, but if it does then that list could be used in TCE
to warn us that legal good in the station we are at are considered illegal in the station we currently have selected as our destination, so that we do not bring them there "by mistake". :p
Or that if we do, we are fully aware of the possible consequences.

I had updated to 1.3.5 and I got the unverified message when I tried to connect.

Went in and ran EDMC.exe as an admin

Updated to 1.3.7 and now get that error when i click.

Any ideas?

So that error has disappeared but now I get this on EDMC

OK, I have re-installed EDMC to the latest version and re-verified my details and it now seems to be working!

Elevation usually means that windows requires you to run that program as admin to give it the right it needs to perform the operation requested.
It often happens after when a program needs to update and/or after an update.

But yeah, re-installing it usually also solves the problem, until next time at least.

You probably know this already but for anyone that doesn't, when you thrust the program, you can also :

go to the program's installation folder, right click the exe file, select properties, an check Run as administrator.

Some errors

I've been adding markets all morning without any problem until this one :

There were a couple more very similar ones that I didn't manage to get a shot of.

Not sure what caused the problem, after the last error the station and data from EDMC were saved as usual.

I restarted TCE and verified my db, all was ok

After restard I connected again without any problems, all prices look ok to me.

Update : another few hours without problems then Got the same batch of error again searching Outfitting for and 8A Power distributor.

Can you send me your current database folder?

Thanks, your database seems to be fine, so it is hard to recreate. I will add precautions to the routine, so an error can't happen and the issue will fix itself by changing the data to default.
If you experience this error again, restart TCE and try the same, as you did before. If the error appears again, then it will be recreatable for me.

It did happen again tonight I played many hours and only got the error on my last station before quitting lol
I now believe it comes from having a commodity in my hold that is not normally sold by the station when I first add that station or Connect before emptying my hold.
but I might be wrong, I need to do more test tomorrow.

Hi Eventure,
I just noticed an odd bit. If I don't explain it clearly, then I will attempt to add a screenshot which has not worked for me before. I apologize if this has been discussed already.

TCE 1.3.7 EDMC 2.1.3.0 win8.1 ED:Horizons

Regarding: Navigation panel, Market place tab, Shipyard.

If I click on a station with a shipyard the list of ships is shown correctly;
If I then click on, lets say an outpost without a shipyard, the 'SHIPYARD' tab
becomes gray, but the list of ships from the previous shipyard is still showing.

One specific example (from several I tried):
- click TURIR : Brooks Terminal ... 'shipyard' tab is highlighted; shipyard-ships are correctly listed
- click KHODIWOBOGI : Chadwick Terminal ... 'shipyard' tab is gray; Brooks Term ships are still listed. :O
that is, the item box has not cleared as it seems that it should.

Other than that oddity, TCE is running as it Should. Thanks.

Played all evening and could not recreate it.

Might also have something to do with planetary outposts but again, not sure.

Will post it if I ever get it again.

In the mean time, I'm really loving MKII !!!

It's impressive work !

Thank You !

It's pretty quiet here, ready for another project ?

Maybe there is already an easy way to do this and I just didn't figure it out.
I know I can achieve something similar with the route planner but I think a 3rd tool would be nice,

Route simulator. Where we could select the info we have and the simulator would fill up the rest.

For example :

I could go very basic and just choose the minimum, a starting or ending system and press find.
In this case the simulator would give me the best trade stations and commodity for the station i chose and the missing origin or destination.
(this is the broader search scenario I can think of right now)

or

I could select Starting system and station (same as or other then my current position)
set some ly and/or ls range
and press find to let the simulator find the best destination sytem, station and commodity to carry

or ....

Basically, there are 3 information on each side that we need to complete a trade
System
Station
commodity

and optionally range in ly and ls

so I'm thinking of a simple window with selection boxes for these 6 entry whit a minimum of only 1 entry required.
or even 0 if it's not too much for the search engine.

On pressing find, the Simulator would find the best possible trade from the parameters we have set and so fill up all entry we did not specify.

also, right not the main panel when Routes is clicked, we see the same name for both menus

Routes

Routes

Routes

The choices could be changed to :

Routes (top main menu stay the same)

Find

Plan

Simulation (If you do add that function :) or just Simulate or Simul for short if Simulation is too long to fit in the box)
