Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Investigating. Will see if I can isolate the issue and get a fix out the door today when I am working on Python Mk II support.
EDMC 5.10.5 has been pushed to handle the issue temporarily while a more solid fix is in the pipeline.

For those interested, this was caused by the new SCO modules not being known to EDMC, including certain specific data numbers about the modules. As a result, EDMC could not calculate jump ranges effectively and errored the program to a crash. This data simply isn't available yet. So for now, we're handling it by defaulting to 0 LY jump range if we can't calculate properly.

Hopefully the next EDMC version will include data on the SCO modules.

i have the latest version of both edmc and the trade computer but i keep getting stuck on the preprocessing stage of tce-relay. and i have no clue why. it would get stuck at downloading right before the update so...no clue whats going on

Please check the tray icon tooltip of TCE-Relay, what the app is currently doing.
@The next update, which is about to be released, will include TCE Relay preprocessing activity, which will be displayed via the progress bar.

Hello,

I have been experiencing the problem for a few days now that TCE no longer seems to be receiving any data via the relay. The relay is running in the tray, the data is loaded and TCE also reports that the database is being replaced. However, only the stations and markets that I have already flown to myself are displayed in the database. And the prices are not updated for these either.

I have noticed this more and more since I have been travelling in and around Colonia and all the stations are not known in TCE. What could be the reason for this? I have already reset the database, but unfortunately it didn't help. I think that all the settings are correct, but maybe someone will find a mistake that I am overlooking. Thank you in advance.

Please send me your files to check your issue by clicking the Report a Bug button at the launcher.

Thank you! Your files are all in good shape, no problem found!

The Colonia region is only sparsely populated (approx. 70 systems) and therefore only has a few stations (approx. 100).

Since TCE was published well before the new region appeared in ED, the star database does not contain any entries for the region.
It is therefore necessary for you to fly over the inhabited systems with stations in order to add the star systems of the region to your database.
This happens automatically as soon as you enter a new system.

Afterwards TCE will also add the stations to your database. So you don't have to visit them all.

This is the reason why you only see a few stations in your database.

Thanks for the feedback. That explains the problem and for the Colonia region TCE can then be fed with data manually as it was a few years ago. The only thing missing is the OCR feature ;)

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm the last part. The stations are not automatically added to the database when you enter a new system. Only after landing at the station (whether space or on planets) does the station appear in the database.

The systems will be added automatically to the database. But your are right, because the stations are not in the EDSM prerecorded station database, so TCE-Relay isn't able to add them. My mistake. I will try to add them with the next update.

Version [1.9.4.0] released
Changelog:
  • Added an updated initial station database, based on the Spansh/EDSM nightly dump, increasing the number of stations to be added by TCE-Relay from 218k to more than 340k.
  • Added the ability to TCE-Relay to add space stations that are located in star systems unknown to TCE. The unknown star system is then also added to the star system database.
  • Added some tooltips for the setup window of TCE-Relay.

HI Eventure,

I am getting an unhandled exception bug with the new version.

As the report is too big to upload I'll load it up to drop box .

If there is anything else you need please let me know.

Martin
