Hi,
I've done a clean install of TCE 1.9.5.1 and am getting the error Conversion from string "" to type"Integer" is not valid when starting TCE. I am unable to progress beyond login. Details of the error below.

Thank you for your report!

It seems that you have a journal file in the journal folder (C:\Users\Your Username\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous) whose name does not fit the correct format (journal.timestamp.number.log). You can send me your journal files to check or please look in the folder and find the file yourself. If you find it, exclude it or name it properly.

I will add a fix in the next update to exclude these files that do not fit the correct format.

Yes, that would be great, but I don't know of any public database where this data is made available so that it can be automatically entered into TCE as a location.

TCE already has a point of interest system, but so far it is necessary to find the point in space or on the planet yourself in order to then save the point with the corresponding coordinates. On a planet, TCE then leads back to the point again if it was selected as a destination. A point in space is only listed as a location, which TCE recognizes again as soon as you enter it.
There is a way to find the rings. Does this help? Not sure if it does or not.

Thank you for the info. The data is included into the galaxy_stations.json as far as i can see and could be extracted.

The following resources to mine i have identified in the file:

Alexandrite
Benitoite
Bromellite
Grandidierite
LowTemperatureDiamond
Monazite
Musgravite
Painite
Rhodplumsite
Serendibite
Opal
Tritium
Platinum

Did I missed a resource?

I have identified a search pattern for TCE-Relay, so the location can be extracted and added to the Location database. It will not come tomorrow but I will try to add that feature in the next versions. It will be a selectable option for TCE-Relay because it will take some extra time to process the data.

Thanks,

I think it was an old journal from a year or two ago, looking at the file date. Deleted it and TCE is working now.

Hello Eventure,
Hope all is well? I seem to be having a problem with TCE-Relay, it seems to be getting stuck at 23% of processing station file and I've tried leaving it for quite a few hours and its not progressing any further. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I have tried it on my side an all is working here, so please send me a bug report through TCE's launcher so I can try to recreate the issue.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Eventure. Same problem for me. If necessary, I will send the report if you cannot figure it out with the other reports.

Does the EDMC 'service' with TCE work in the same manner as the dedicated EDMC program? It does not seem to be updating Inara and EDSM automatically when just using the TCE service version.

The EDMC command line version only updates data towards EDDN, if activated. If you want to make updates for EDSM and INARA, let EDMC run in the background. Then the updates should take place automatically.

I've started a conversation for an updated version of TCE-Relay. Please check it out.

Everyone else, can you give me a note, if TCE-Relay is working properly for you. Thanks in advance!

I just ran the "TCE Relay Web Service", and it worked ok, no errors or stoppages.

The "extracting station and commodity data" part took 30 min (on 13900K with 64 GB ram, 2x 2 TB 980 Pro SSD). I think that was just because of my settings: dynamic core usage "off", 100 LY sphere range and 'unexplored star systems' and 'planetary attractions' set to yes (lots of data). The whole process took about 40 min.

The only "bug" I saw was it set "status" to "complete" well before it actually finished.

just want to say i was having the 23% problem, manually downloaded the 2 files then restarted the service and it worked fine, maybe the downloads are being corrupted somewhere along the way

Version [1.9.5.2] released
Changelog:
  • Added an option to add resource extraction locations via TCE Relay to the Locations database on the Extension tab of the Launcher.
  • Added a debug file if an error is happening while processing the station file to TCE Relay. The file is added to the /LOGS folder of TCE.
  • Added all missing options for TCE Relay to the Online tab of the Options panel.
  • Fixed an error at startup if one journal file hasn't the correct file name format. Those files will be ignored.
  • Fixed a display issue where after resetting the databases they were not displayed as verified in the database tab of the launcher.
  • Fixed an issue after resetting the History database where average prices for commodities were not written as starting values.
Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error or bug, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

Thank you for your reply as always.

Does that mean that, if I am running the EDMC application itself, that I can disable the TCE service option? I believe it does, but I'd like to be sure.
