The shared crowd sourced Database is now set up as a used contributed option I set up last night. You can still SEND BY CLICKING HERE to the DB to share and never collect the update if you would be willing to support the others that do want to share.

Bug? I think....

Ok, first attempt at merging another users DB and I think there is something wrong with the import...

The button for IMPORT MK.II DATABASE seems to be bugged... it swaps to 'PLEASE WAIT' and does nothing at all. In fact, if you click on it, then change your mind and close the search windows to find the DB it has the same effect.

TCE don't support merging of databases. If you make an import of your database, you will get a clean database of your old data with additional data provided by the install version. You don't add data to you current database.

By using the import button, you have to select the old TCE folder, not the DB folder itself.

When I started TCE I get a complete blank/white screen (the dreaded white screen!) although the TCE header is showing above the complete blank/white screen - ED is not open. The blank/white screen disappears back to my desktop if I close TCE or I start ED.

So I went back to TCE version 1.0.2 as I had copied the complete folder before the upgrade. Re-installed v1.0.3 and started TCE. It did not ask me to re-import my DB and told me it was still TCE v1.0.2. I re-downloaded v1.0.3 from a different location in this thread, the first page, and re-installed over my v1.0.2 copy. Again on startup TCE told me it was still v1.0.2 and did not ask me to update my DB. However, I did re-import the old DB, no problems, and started TCE. White screen again on startup. I upgraded to v1.0.7, it told me it was v1.0.7 on startup but i still get the complete white screen on TCE startup and then the TCE header appears on the top of the white screen.

Hi Eventure

This is still an issue with the latest TCE release and has been happening only since the v1.0.3 full installer release. Since when starting ED the screen goes black until the Frontier logo appears overwriting the blank/white screen from TCE, except for the TCE header, it is not a big issue but somewhat annoying that the complete screen goes blank/white when starting TCE before you start ED as I always do. This blank/white screen happens on the main ED screen this time, not on the secondary screen as happened previously in beta testing if you recall. Not sure if you or other people have this issue and all my drivers are up to date.

I have someone elses database, it shouldn't be the same as mine.

Dunno if you saw this in todays' 2.0.06 patch: "Updated galactic mean commodity prices".

I'm out 5000 LY exploring, but I think that means some/all of the avg prices changed. Is that something you can work into the next update, or is it easier for people to do that on our side?

I am releasing a new full-version, which will hold the new average prices (SAP Container is missing, but it seems, they removed it).

installed the 1.1.1 and i cant put my file over the top of it all my trade markets and price data has gone and it will not let me import the old database into it. from a backup

never mind my bad was selecting the wrong part of the TCE directory

This is not how it works...
With every FULL release, pls do the following:

1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. C:\TCE_1_1)
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. C:\TCE)
3. Run TCE Setup, detecting the Paths
4. Database Management -> Import from MKII -> Choose old folder (C:\TCE_1_1)

Found the issue, please make use of the CONNECT button once before looking into the Hangar section. It should fix the error till the next update.
