Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Trying to get my head around rares route planning. But I can't get it to work.
I have modified the market data for a system to include a ware.
I have tried to populate the rare panel with details of a rare, however the rare already existed, and I can't modify any of the fields.
I go to the market on the route planner, and the rare is not listed.

Can you help me please, what am I missing?

The Trade Route Finder and Planner is only for common commodities, not for rares.

Hi

I just wondered if its possible to swap databases between fellow Commanders? I usualy work in a wing when trading and it would be good to swap databases between us.

Thanks

Hi Eventure

I had a corruption occurred on my DB. When I was updating the market price via EDMC which caused a error to occur on showing the price list (Sorry didn't grab error then). I decided to load from previous backup DB using the option provided. But now this error keeps appearing and also new star panel will not populate with star names to calculate the coordinates.

Here is the error.

Version I'm using is 1.1.8
I have emailed the DB folder to you.

Could you please look into my database to see what issue is. Much appreciated.

Will you be planning to expand this, as the rares I've been looking at are sold as commodities, although not common as you have suggested.

Sorry but no, for the following reasons:
1) There is no fixed sell price, because it depends on distance from origin.
2) There is only a limited amount of units available.
3) There is a time limit of getting some rares.
4) There are only some markets to buy from.

What I can do is to flag a market at the list of selectable markets, that there is a rare commodity available.

Melting databases from different users are not supported. The Mk.I has a FTP support to share data, but this was a far from perfect solution, so I decided to drop this feature for the Mk.II.

Ok I understand that it would be difficult to do. Is it possible to share my database with someone else?

Thanks as always :)

Fair enough, I'll plot my route with fuel instead.

Eventure and Fellow TCE.MkII users,

Firstly Eventure, love the application was exactly what I had been looking for and now past the learning curve find it makes ED even more immersive.

Secondly I just wanted to reach out and ask if you or anyone else knows of a way to map the TCE Flight log or to do similar using the API. What I am trying to achieve is a visualization of where I have been as I truck through the universe. I know there are a number of static maps ie EDStarCoordinate. I just want a map of me ;) possible set a home system and then populate as I visit other system. Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

Not minutes after I posted I found EDDiscovery, Fills exactly what I was looking for. Again thanks the Eventure for such a great app!!

I think the following started to happen after changing my ship modules.

[USING 1.1.9beta]
I noticed at last station FOUNDERS WORLD, that the NAVIGATION/STAR SYSTEM PANEL TAB was blank, so I restarted TCE only for it still to be blank.

Then I loaded up past versions 1.1.6 through 1.1.8 all have the same problem,

Then I reinstalled 1.1.5, upgraded to 1.1.8 then imported DB from 1.1.9beta and still I have the same problem, BLANK NAVIGATION/STAR SYSTEM PANEL TAB

Now I'm stuck at PUPPIS SECTOR TO-R B4-5 which is an unexplored system, so I need to update the DB accordingly.

DB 1.1.9beta and EDMC folder
DB 1.1.8 REINSTALLED and EDMC folder
DB 1.1.8 from last week and EDMC folder

I also removed the db and imported again but this time from 1.1.8 same problem.

I have had a similar intermittent problem. Have you waited a while and clicked on the other tabs and then back to the star system tab? When it has happened to me this appears to resolve it.

The only thing I can think that may be the cause is that for some reason the array holding the star system data is taking a little longer than usual to populate the list.

Eventure could this explain it?

Edit - using 1.1.8

All that time installing, importing and trying different versions and now it's all fine and dandy, I did wait for a while. This time I load it up and the panel is populated from the start, no waiting.

=====EDIT=====

There is definitely a problem with the STAR SYSTEM TAB, being blank. Sometimes it's blank other times it's fine. When it's blank, leaving it displaying that TAB doesn't update. Sometimes searching for system in the TAB then shows the STARS, other times it's still blank.

Restarting TCE, sometimes resolves the problem, other times it remains blank.

Sorting by STAR CLASS appears to resolve the problem, but again only sometimes.

=====EDIT 2=====

I can still search and update systems in the REGIONAL SUMMARY PANEL. But rarely in the STAR SYSTEM PANEL.

I belive this could have something to do with changing system modules?

I use 'R' a 3d plotting software app that plots the co-ordinates of the systems you visit, works great even with systems 100's of light years apart. If your interested I can put together some instructions for you, just PM me. Good for visualizing those systems around each other to work out which way to navigate, or which system to visit next. Besides you tell it the system you want to plot, nothing more.

Scotty

Under 'Database Operations' You can create a backup and email it to your friend. He can then 'Load the Backup' in order to use your data.

Dave

That will work, but your friend will get also your logbook and player databases.
If your friend is starting new, then your friend should extract the backup by hand and copy the database into the DB folder of the installation without overwriting the TCE_Logbook.db, TCE_Personal.db and of course the panel.db, if the friend using a different monitor resolution or panel setup.

All that time installing, importing and trying different versions and now it's all fine and dandy, I did wait for a while. This time I load it up and the panel is populated from the start, no waiting.

Under observation, but it happens quite rarely. Is it reproduceable?

Just an FYI if not already reported:
The Star DB did not like Bernard's Star with an apostrophe;
was listed as Bernards Star wo apostrophe.
It is now fixed in my DB.

I just thought I would drop by and say thank you once again Eventure for a great add-on to ED.

Thank you, my pleasure.

There are more star systems out with an missing apostrophe. If you find one, change it via the Star System Database panel. TCE will show you on modify entry automatically the name of the system, which has to be changed.

I have the EliteOCR and I am trying to train it but I have no clue how to train it. can anyone help me.

Hi,
it's fairly simple, look here for instructions:

http://eliteocr.sourceforge.net/3.html

quoted:
Go to "Settings > Learning wizard" and follow every step very carefully. In the last step EliteOCR will train with the data you provided*.

*which means you provide handmade screenshots of commodity market data.
