@eventure, a couple of questions.

I`m flying an Anaconda now and wonder if it`s possible to make the auto destination select a marked that reflects the pad size as well. I know I can change it manually, but TCE know which ship I`m in and maybe it can select the market that suits the ship?

Also I`m trying to figure out how the "route planner" works. Is there a dummies guide for that?

I`m enjoying TCE very much. Can`t fly without it. [up]

Well, i'm not eventure, but lemme try to help nonetheless...

I'm fairly sure we already can do this. Look in the options menu after starting tce, afaik you can set panel size to 'automatic' there.

As for the route planner, it's described in the manual, starting page 18.

Hello Wigean,

there is a bug at the Options panel, when selecting automatic (which is the default). It selects actually all stations, which is wrong. Please select "LARGE" instead for the correct selection of stations. Will be fixed with the upcomming update, which is currently in beta testing.

For the Route Planner, check out the manual, as punkerich said, and also the working with section 8.12 Route Planner, page 30.

FYI, it wouldn't let me modify a stars (database/stars/modify) info when I was in that system. e.g. I was in Baltah'sine trying to add the apostrophe and it was throwing an error. Once I left the system and docked elsewhere, it let me modify the star.

Having a slight problem after 1nstalling v119.
On starting TCE 119, the current status box reads "waiting for ED" and
"please enter the game or restart". Also, the database says "locked"

I have restarted both TCE and ED one at a time and both at the same time;
started one before the other and reversed. Same message.
I think that I saw this behavior in v118 but it cleared up quickly.

What I have not done is left and returned to the station nor rebooted my
machine; mostly because I have not needed to do so with prior versions.

Though TCE has always been reliable for me, I will reinstall my v118 backup
for now. Thanks

Question: When I start TCE it only shows 'Waiting for Elite Dangerous. Please enter the game or restart.' Where is the problem?
Answer: The waiting message comes, if TCE Mk.II can't find any position data in the Net Log file. Please do the following to fix the issue:

Edit your AppConfig.xml file, located in Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-64\ folder, if there is the entry VerboseLogging = "1" under <NETWORK section. It should look like that:

Start Elite Dangerous till you are in the game.

You can create also a file named AppConfigLocal.xml at the products/elite-dangerous-64 folder beside the Appconfig.xml file with the following content:

Installed Update 1.1.9 (fresh install and loaded db from v1.1.8) changed destination station and this came up.

Seems to me you put tremendous time and effort into this Trade Computer and I would like to make a donation. But for the life of me I can't find out how! Please some help in this. you've earned it.

In TCE, the control/options panel has a donate button on the top right.

I looked everywhere. And yep there it was right in front of my nose. I do seem to have my own learning curve.

Hi all,

there is a bug at the Navigation panel (Trade Markets), which produces an error, if you have less than 10 registered markets in your database. It will be fixed with the next update.

I upgraded to 1.1.9 and I get some error warnings.
1.1.8 worked fine for me. I use Win 10.

The first time I started 1.1.9 I noticed the message "Fixing logbook- please wait" during launch. I thought it was strange, but everything seemed to work ok.
I played ED for a while and shut down . Some time after I started up TCE again and got several error messages. I`ll try to mention what happened.

First I got was:

Then TCE dissapears, but it is visible in the task manager. Ending TCE there and tryng to launch TCE again gives the same errors.

So I tried to load the first backup of the day, which I believe was saved before the first error occured. Seems to work normally.
Then I quit TCE and ED and shut down the computer.
Then after starting up and launch TCE I get the same errors.

I hope I have given you all the information you need.
Some errors have been translated from Norwegian, and I hope they are correct.

The first time I started 1.1.9 I noticed the message "Fixing logbook- please wait" during launch. I thought it was strange, but everything seemed to work ok.

Hello Wigean,

your first error inticates a logbook error, check the size of the TCE_Logbook.db file. If it is more than 100 MB big, you have to replace the file with a new due to a bug some versions ago creating too much entries.
You can use the TCE_Logbook.tdm file from the TDM folder. Copy it into the DB folder of TCE, remove the TCE_Logbook.db file and rename the TCE_Logbook.tdm to TCE_Logbook.db.
That should fix your problem.

NEW MINOR BUG

Sorting in NAVIGATION/MARKET PLACES by ECONOMY type throws up this error. I get this error when HIGH TECH and SERVICE, TERRAFORMING and TOURISM are cycled to. Exiting and restarting TCE doesn't rectify the problem.
