Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

I also keep my "stuff needed for engineer upgrades" outside of TCE. It's too complex to keep in there with my desire to keep track of if it is a data or a mat, where or how it's found, what upgrade it's for, and how many I have/need. Excel works fine for that.

After thinking about this further, I'd tend to agree, we could do with a TCE like tool for Engineers, but I'll use the spreadsheet for now, it does a good job.

I have added a keybind, to set the focus to TCE to see the mouse pointer. Can you tell me, which panel catches the focus? The Main UI or any special panel?

Hi Eventure

I'll try and test further this evening but when I noticed it happening, it was the main UI (Options/ Database) but I'll test more fully

Full-Version (1.3.0) released:

Changelog:
- Added more commodities for ED 1.6/2.1.
- Added update of galactic average prices of commodities when using EDMC (newest version required).
- Re-enabled the automatic EDMC usage after registering a market, if EDMC is installed.
- Fixed an error when registering a market.
- Fixed an error with the compact view at the Commodity panel.

Note:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and an import of your old database from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old or loading a backup from an older version.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
Question: What I have to do, when a new version of TCE is released?
Answer: With every FULL release, pls do the following:

1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. C:\TCE.old)
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. C:\TCE)
3. Run TCE, go to Configuration, detecting the Paths (optional, because TCE copies your old TCE.ini file with an import).
4. Database Management -> Import from MKII -> Choose old folder (C:\TCE.old)

Updated to 1.3.0 no problems. Pulled in my old DB.

I hit 'connect' to use EDMC and a lot of commodities they don't have/sell were in the list when I went to 'commodity/view'. I figured something was up, so I went to 'database/markets/delete' and deleted the market.

I went to clicked on the 'current position' then 'add new market'. When I added the info, I noticed there was no 'save' button at the top. Not sure what to do from there.\

edit* Restarting TCE solved it, so maybe being at a station, deleting it, then trying to add it causes problems (no save button).

edit 2*deleted some stuff due to stupidity.

Morning Eventure

1.3 together with the updated version of EDMC seemed spot on this morning with a couple of hours play.

One suggestion - could we have a new market / station type please, for Engineer Base. ED themselves flag it this way and as EDMC pulls through the outfitting data etc, it would've good to have a separate category.

Also, it would need a new Allegiance Type of None (or Engineer)

Cheers

Morning too,

what type of picture should I use for the Engineer Base, a new or an already present? What are the max. pad size of those bases? Are there space-based bases and/or planetary, so we need two types?

Each one is a planetary base and is unique in design, so a photo of any of them would work. I'm near Farseer Inc so I'll take one and email it over to you later today. They're all planet bases so one type is fine. They are all up to Large pad sized too I believe.

hello Eventure ,

i have a little probem white TCE , for registrer new market i got an error and no DB of market save

i have 1.3.0 TCE and EDMC up to date ( game french , 4k , 64bit , horizon)

When i first hit update and enter the verification code (verified I did it correctly) I get "invalid data" :(

Am I supposed to be in-game when I do it? I wasn't logged in to launcher or anything.

EDIT: Never mind, I updated again and it worked this time. I think my internet has been acting up today.

What error you getting? Please more details, because I have no error here.
What you meaning with "no DB of market save"? Can you explain it a little more?

Thanks

@Please follow the instructions from the note section of the last update or check the FAQs in what have to be done to make your old TCE database compatible with the actual version of TCE. Thanks.

Have found a picture for the Engineer Base:

Hi Eventure

I'd like to propose a UI improvement if I may.

I store all the ships in the shipyards of the markets I visit. When I'm looking for a paricular ship I use the Navigation window, and scroll through them. However, currently everytime I change station in the Market tab of the Navigation window, it defaults back to Exports.

Would it be possible for it to remember I'm looking at Shipyard, and when I change Market, it stays on Shipyard?

Many thanks

Update (1.3.0.1) released:

Changelog:
- Added four additional note sections, selectable with the new 1-5 buttons at the Personal panel.
- Added "Workshop" station type for Engineer Bases.
- Added a standby window, if the user has to wait until TCE finished processing.
- Removed the market exports default selection, when selecting a market at the Navigation panel.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

Clicking on the notes tab in personal gave me this:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Evening Eventure

I think there is a little bug either in TCE or EDMC (or I'm using TCE wrong).

On a planet with multiple planetary ports, on the second and then third ports, I entered a new market even though TCE thought I was at the first port. TCE then automatically connected to EDMC to download commodity prices.

It seems for all three on the planet, it has saved the same prices on the first visit to each. On subsequent visits it is ok, clicking on EDMC is pulling in the correct prices.
