Hello everyone,

I like to add for the next version some "Tip of the Day" texts for TCE, displaying them at the loading screen.
So I like to hear from you all, what could be a nice tip of the day in question of TCE?
I am curious to hear, what you thinking about!

@Created a bunch of them but you are free to add any tip of importance.

No error displaying as before? It stop loading only? How much % loading? Will check later, when I came home.

yep, stops at about 70%, have to kill the process.
i logged out at shinrarta 1, seems like i have multiple res. extr. entries on the planet, perhaps that's what's causing the issues.

I am trying to configure the file paths for the file settings but don't know where to look. I've updated the program, am running Windows 10 and installed ED on Steam. Short story is I can't find the files, and auto detect spits out a weird notification. 3 Versions Found. I'd appreciate some help.

Hello,
if TCE said, that 3 versions are found, you have to select the version folder, like "elite-dangerous-64". Scroll down the list of folders and select the folder and click OK.

Okay I figured that out now I get a new error when I tried to start TCE as a test. An error popped up that reads, VerboseLogging is missing the Appconfig.xml file! I triple checked that the file had been selected and it seems right. Here's the file path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-64\AppConfig.xml

Also, only one AppConfig file showed up if you're wondering.

No, no, you misunderstood. The message saying, that the VerboseLogging entry of the AppConfig.xml file is missing. But if you have clicked the SET VERBOSE button, you have to start Elite Dangerous first once, so that ED can create a netlog file with the required data. But it could be missunderstood and you are not alone, so I will add a better message clearly saying, what to do, comming with the next update today.

So what you have to do is to start ED until you are in game and then start TCE. Sorry for the confusion, but TCE improving every day ;)

@Eventure:

I think the System entry in the netLog file is now always added, you don't need the VerboseLogging (for the systemname) anymore.

Without the VerboseLogging, the Body ID is missing at the "System:" row, which is important to TCE, therefore the VerboseLogging entry is a prerequisite.

Update (1.3.2) released:

Changelog:
- Added information box after adding VerboseLogging parameter.
- Added increased precision to position detection routine.
- Added distance indicator to market/location at the Position Display.
- Added tips to the loading screen.
- Fixed finally an issue with the logbook database, adding sometimes additional duplicates to the database (please see notes below).
- Updated message box for missing position data event.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

If you experience long loading times or other laggy behavior, please check the number of logbook entries within your database at the Database Operations window.
The current number of database entries are displayed at the bottom left of the window.

If you seeing more than, lets say, 10.000 logbook entries and you not have made a galaxy roundtrip before, replace the logbook database with a fresh one from the TDM folder of your TCE installation.
Simply delete the TCE_Logbook.db file at the DB folder of TCE, copy the TCE_Logbook.tdm from the TDM folder into the DB folder and rename it back to a .db type.

I am going in game now to see if things are slow. They have not been. However, I do have 9200 'log entries'. And I have been using TCE since last June/July I think (650 trade markets). I don't have TCE running when I go exploring (have been 6000 LY out). So right now, I'm not going to replace the logbook.db.

Do you lose any data if you replace the logbook.db as you describe?

You can easily check, if your database is affected. Check your entries through the Navigation panel > Flight Log, if the entries differ from each other and not repeatingly show the same entry with the same date and time you are fine.
You loosing probably not much, beside the notes you may have added to the logbook entries, but gaining performance, if it seems to be laggy, is a viable choice.

Suggestion: I would love if we could see "credits per hour" for the session, added to the credits panel? Would this be possible?

Again thanks for your work on this. I can't play ED without it now! Best program ever

Will add a cr/h to the Credits panel for the next update. Thanks for your suggestion.

Just upgraded ED.
I`m wondering if the game now is confusing TCE?
Now the auto destination window shows Mundjiga:AGNEWS'' FOLLY. There is not a marked called that in Mundjiga. But in Vequess it is.
Also went to HDS 3215 because the auto dest suggested it. Tried to modify the marked`s position, but had to delete and enter new marked. The it is ok.
Anyone else with problems after upgrading ED?

Edit: The HDS 3215 was a mistake by me. Failed to modify marked position by clicking on the actual position window.

The Auto-Destination showing only markets of your database. Please check with the Market Database panel AGNEWS' FOLLY, if it is stored with the Vequess or Mundjiga star system. Correct the name from two '' to one '.
What problem you have in modifying a market?

Hi Eventure

I keep getting this problem when upgrading TCE but not sure if it's TCE or ED and it's updates that is coursing the problem
as soon as updates are done (tce update 1.3.2) tce does not recognise the station I'm at if I go back to the old version
it will see the station and it's not only the start up station just flew to Shinrarta Dezhra - Jameson Memorial and it does
not recognise that too.

thanks dee.

Just been to two other station and it's the same there I have tried to modify the station but that does not work the only way so far is to
delete the station and re-do it as a new one.

What problem you have in modifying a market?

It was stored as in the Mundjiga system.
In TCE it shows the same date as Sagan Port in Mundjiga. Strange , I would have noticed this before I think. Well I`ll head over to Vequess a bit later and see what happens.

I went into the flightlog and can see that Agnews' Folly is unregistered even if I was visiting there yesterday.

Modifying problem was lack of knowledge. I found out I had to click on the actual position window to set the correct position.
