Exactly. There are some border regions/stations where this wouldn't work bc it's just not in FD's api, but inside the bubble you should be good.
It even gets the Shipyard and avail. Outfitting for ya. I don't even have EliteOCR installed anymore. Could use that for backup, though.
What trouble?
Oh, and to even top that EDMC thang, there's also TCE-Relay built in.
What's that, i hear you asking?
Magic, i say!
After registering some markets in TCE yourself, you can just give it a go from within TCE's
wonderful launcher, and mass-update ALL your registered market prices in one go.
Yay!

Changelog: - Added some quality of life improvements.
- Added new Multi-Panels Simultaneously Display option to the Options panel. If disabled (default), it's no longer required to hide a panel, when opening another. The panel hides automatically.
- Fixed an error when importing journal logs without EDMC installed.
- Fixed an issue not updating the star system details of the Navigation panel, after scanning the main star of a star system.
- Fixed an issue with a wrong text font showing at the filter settings of the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an issue when selecting a trade route at the Route Finder panel, it is not properly displayed at the Route Planner panel.
- Removed the slide in of the Waypoints panel, if a new destination is set. It will only show now, if the button is clicked.
Notes:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and a transfer of the databases from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.
If you find an error, please report and use the Report an Error button at the launcher.
An updated manual and additional word phrases for all the new stuff to translate will follow shortly.
I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky.
Thanks in advance.

1: Fresh install asks you to upgrade the DB before you have done anything.
2: When transfering from the last version the stars.db won't transfer without error, you have to repair it.
3 It asks for a db upgrade again after repair.
4 When adding a new location - point of interest all is well until you put some notes in, I put some coordinates in the notes eg: 24.2364 and 123.5565, you get this error:
5. Unable to delete the new location either.
6. Stop TCE and repair and all your notes are gone!
Once TCE is repaired System distances are shown in LS not ly.
Confirming Ibastavd's obversations regarding the install process where you are told to upgrade the DB both before and after transferring.
However I transferred the DB without problem, no errors and verified OK.
I completed the upgrade and tested TCE without Elite running just resizing some panels and then closed it down and left it.
No problems so far, now for the fun bit. When I went to start it up again some time later to play Elite I now get an error message and the launcher closes down.
Your database is not compatible with this version of TCE!
Please reinstall TCE and use the launcher to transfer your old database to the new installation.
EXITING TCE....

Clicking OK closes the launcher. But it was working fine when I did the upgrade and has not been used since. Do I have to reinstall it all over again?
Can't send the error report as I cannot get to the launcher and I'm at work with no email to send you a copy of the DB.

1. Found the issue, but no problem at all, if you can launch TCE afterwards.
2. The database is copied, if you used the V1.4.8+ before. So the error the verify shows, was in your last version already and therefore, when copied, in the new also, but a repair should fix your issue in your database, right?
3. Yes, that's okay and intended.
4. Can't recreate it, and sadly you forgot to post the error details to hunt down your issue. Maybe you could post it, if the error happens again.
5. Could come, because of the error, because I can delete a stored location without any problem.
6. You have repaired what? TCE_Locations? Would be nice to have the database before repairs, so I could check, what's wrong with it.
TCE showing LS only, if the destination lies within your current star system. Can you show/tell me, where did you have the mismatch?

You were right, my 1.4.8.1 db had the error in the tce_stars.db. I've repaired before I upgraded to 1.4.9 this time.
I still have the problem when adding the new location - poi. As soon as I add notes and save I get the error below. I am in my SRV when it happens.
The POI is called Brain Tree in the IC 2391 Sector ZE-A D101 planet C3a

Found the issue.
You entered a star system without TCE running, and the star system is not listed in the database of TCE.
When starting TCE, sadly TCE is not detecting, that it is unknown, not adding it to the star system database.
So your added location is stored without any star system data and therefore broke.
Releasing an update soon to fix this issue. But your stored location is lost, you can delete and recreate it at the Location Database window.
@Added a repair option, but you have to fully start TCE before to add the missing star system. Restart thereafter TCE and make a repair to the TCE_Locations.db. TCE tries to fix it and you are not required to create it again. If TCE can't fix it, the location is removed.
Changelog: - Added compability with the upcoming ED 2.3 beta changes.
- Fixed an error when starting TCE, and the current star system is not in the database.
- Fixed an issue showing #EMPTY entries at the Location Database panel.
Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I have been getting errors when Verifying my DB, for STAR SYSTEMS AND PERSONAL this has happened for the last 3 or 4 full versions, The STAR SYSTEMS DB always RepairS and Verifies OK, but PERSONAL fails when attempting to verify. I don't seem to have any issues an personal details are fine. But as this issue has continued to occur I thought I' let you know this time.
Now I got it, yes, if you scan the main star, the class data is available, but sadly without a scanner, it's not.
So the list is properly updated, but not the details.
Found the missing details update. Will also be fixed with the next update.
I've just had a look at CARTOGRAPHY for VY CANIS MAJORIS and discovered that only the main star is in the DB with a picture. I scanned both stars in this system and I a took picture of both stars.
I then checked 1.4.8.1 CARTOGRAPHY for VY CANIS MAJORIS and both stars are recorded and both have pictures, so I've lost a pictre and a star. Checking E:\TCE\CARTOGRAPHY\VY CANIS MAJORIS and both pictures have been imported to 1.4.9.1 but in CARTOGRAPHY only the main star is shown?
ISSUE:
This happens when entering new Star System and have NAV panel open with CLASS sorted to UNKNOWN. Once the star has been scanned and as TCE tries to update the system.

AFTER GETTING this error and travelling to a new system that's not in the DB TCE didn't update to the new system details and I had to restart TCE
I have been getting errors when Verifying my DB, for STAR SYSTEMS AND PERSONAL this has happened for the last 3 or 4 full versions, The STAR SYSTEMS DB always RepairS and Verifies OK, but PERSONAL fails when attempting to verify. Found an issue, that the path is stored absolutely, not relatively. But that's not the issue here. The stored picture path will become obsolete with the next update, TCE will create the path string from the star system name and star/body name.
Please report back, if the pictures got shown now with the update.
Changelog: - Fixed an issue not showing a picture of a star/body, although a picture file is present at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an issue not showing stars in a proper order of distance at the System View tab at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed a rare issue when selecting a star/body from the treeview, the body list could be empty at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed again a missing update at the Navigation panel, after a primary star is scanned.
Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I updated my 1.4.9.1 instance of TCE with the patch and Checked if VY CANIS MAJORIS had both images and both stars listed in CARTOGRAPHY. It wasn't there.
I then installed a new instance of TCE 1.4.9 and patched it to 1.4.9.2 and imported DB from 1.4.9.1, VY CANIS MAJORIS other star and picture wasn't present. Which is what I expected. But as I've now traveled a fair distance since then, I wanted to keep my saved data.
Then I installed TCE 1.4.9 and patched to 1.4.9.2 and imported DB from 1.4.8.1 (same errors see as previously reported, that were successfully fixed apart from PERSONAL) but VY CANIS MAJORIS other star and picture still wasn't present.
NOTE: VY CANIS MAJORIS has two stars it's the secondary star "VY CANIS MAJOR B" that's not shown in the list, including the picture.
[UPDATING STAR CLASS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN ENTERING A NEW STAR SYSTEM]
Not Fixed. With NAV panel open or closed.
Error (NAV panel open and sorting star class to unknown when enter new start system) appears fixed.
ADDITIONAL:
tiny tiny issue, I've seen this in many previous version. The 1st time I attempt to VERIFY, it starts but the quickly stops and then I have to click verify again to perform the verify which then works on the 2nd attempt.

Are both picture files for each star at the CARTOGRAPHY\VY CANIS MAJORIS folder available? If not, copy the complete folder by hand.
Interestingly, if I use your provided database, a star system VY CANIS MAJORIS is listed at the treeview of the Cartography panel and it contains VY CANIS MAJORIS and VY CANIS MAJOR B.
Clicking onto the star system name or one of both entries within shows both stars in the detail view.

TCE is getting the actual position from the journal logs. Did TCE reporting after launch, that the journal feed is active and ED is running by the event reporter?
You can send me your TCE.config file to eventure(at)ki.tng.de or via the Report an Error button at the launcher.
