Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Well, yeah, I know that, but punker's reaction made me think there was some new meaning to the word. Like if I said I used xxxxx xxxxx or something like that.

Well you never know nowadays... I was just going to say search for it but that wasn't friendly.

And that is disgusting, horrible and not funny.

I've got a weird sound issue where I get a rather loud squawk just after docking. I've tried disabling the sounds in the options, as well as reducing the slider to 0, but it still happens anyhow. WHat's weird is I couldn't identify it in the WAV files. I'm wondering if maybe it's TCE and something else firing something off at the same time. I'm going to try and record it on my phone so you can hear it. It's not 100% of the time, so it's a little tough to replicate. As far as I can tell it only occurs when I have TCE open, though, as when I exit out of it the sound never happens.

Anyhow, thought I'd throw this out there in case I'm not alone.

Guess I collect the odd ones, huh? :p

Edit: Got one. :) Sorry for the length; I don't have a sound recorder application on this system. It's in the last 4 or 5 seconds.

Sry, but I can't hear anything, is it from the first minute or it appear after awhile of playing?

Hey again o/

Just a small problem while playing today, I'm still getting the unclear text on some panels so i was adjusting the size of the panels and fonts to try to make it look better (which it has done) and after saving the panel, some of the icons disappear from view, every panel I adjusted I got the same result and I have to restart TCE to get em back again. With the icons gone I have to shut down TCE via the Task Manager and load it up again.

Thanks again Eventure :)

Will be fixed with the coming update!

I just cleared out the journals folder (backed them up), logs folder for the netlog info too, and wiped out the contents, restarted the game and sure enough the new log file says 56% for Trade and 20% for Explorer which is exactly right. This could be down to me lauching TCE when the Game is not fully up and running.
Just done the restarts seperate and Tce Still shows 41% & 19%, Progress", "Combat":26, "Trade":56, "Explore":20, "Empire":86, "Federation":59, "CQC":0 }
Having checked the rest, Federation is not right either 52% in TCE but empire is right.
Guess there's something adrift here, but I know Eventure will work it out. Excellent Programmer.

Found and fixed the issue with the next update.

Sorry if this has already been reported, but I'm getting unhandled exceptions when parsing the journal files. It seems to be the "Shipyardbuy" events that are breaking it.

Do you have installed the EDMC app? If so, what is the path (check the TCE.config file at the root of TCE under EDMC_Path)?
If not, I fixed the issue for the next update.
Thanks for reporting!

It's right at the tail end, in the last 4 or 5 seconds. Sorry for the poor quality. My speakers aren't set up in a way where I can put the phone near them, really, due to the cockpit I use as a desk. It happened a couple times when in space, today, after I posted that. First time it's ever done that. I can't figure it out; it's driving me slightly batty. Heh

So, if you deactivate the sound in TCE, is the sound issue persistant?

Eventure, if it's not too much of a hassle, could you make it so i could alter the population of a system directly in the factions panel? I normally don't touch it in Navigation, but for working the BGS it's crucial to know.

OK, this is weird. Someone PMd me and told me to check EDMC. Sure enough, it's the bad connection sound from there, but oddly enough, it only happens when TCE is up and running as well. I have no clue why that would be, since I disabled sounds there too but no worries. At least now I know where it's coming from I can go bother the right folks and find a fix! :)

The weird thing is this doesn't happen if I have EDMC running without TCE but that may just be cooincidental.

You can already, make a double-click onto the popluation showing UNKNOWN (in the tab of your faction), enter the value and select NONE, MILL. or BILL. thereafter. For value below a million, enter the value as it stands, for value above, enter the decimal value.

EDMC has no sound, it comes from TCE, when hitting the connect button. So I suggest to turn the sound in TCE off, maybe it's soundcard/driver related, but you are the first reporting such issue, or most of the TCE users didn't use TCE sound.

Just curious: are there other functions 'hidden' behind double-clicks? Must have totally missed that.:D

It actually does have sound. There's a chirp on hotkey for connected successfully and another (the one in question) that squawks when it fails. Both WAV files live in the program's folder but renaming one kills the loading of the application. Disabling sound in the settings has no effect. Anyhow, I'll send them a bug report over on the Github for it. :)

Edit: Here's the path for the sound file in question: C:\Program Files (x86)\EDMarketConnector\snd_bad.wav

Do you have EDMC running simultaneously with TCE? If so, don't. TCE uses a commandline version of EDMC, so there's no need to have it running seperately.

hey again

Got an error while playing today.

While exploring in system with war status, was approaching a planet to take photo and got interdiction from federal navy to scan my ship, TCE went into hide mode and after I throttled down TCE came back into view and the error appeared, also the mini map appeared on screen whilst not at the planet when the error appeared.

@ punkerich

unfortunately it seems, that the command line version of edmc doesn't send the flight log to edsm. That's why I also run the full version of edmc.

Hi Eventure,

I've noticed that every time I use TCE Relay to update my prices whenever I verify afterwards TCE always shows an error in the db. It repairs fine, I wonder if you are aware of this?
This has been happening for the last few versions, I'm running 1.5.6.1

As always a massive thank you from me for all your hard work! :D

Thanks mate, will check the issue....

@Checked: TCE-Relay adding price data to a market, which is registered to have no market data (Economy set to NONE).
For example the market DEMOLITION UNLIMITED in the EURYBIA star system.

If someone is near the market, please check, if the market developed to the trade market.
