Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

STAR SYSTEMS THAT DON'T EXIST

BLAE THUA PB-E B12-3
BLAE THUA QB-X C1-10
COL 259 SECTOR RT-A B30-0

QUESTION:

Don't the #EMPTY slots in STARS db no longer get populated with new star systems? As that isn't happening with my db, bearing in mine I changed them myself to #EMPTY.

I'm on my way back to the bubble so I'm bound to find many more.

ISSUE 1
A BLUE SUPERGIANT = Not in FDEV Journal list (You can't guarantee that documentation is correct) but is in the game

{ "timestamp":"2017-08-28T03:33:37Z", "event":"Scan", "BodyName":"HD 164002 A", "DistanceFromArrivalLS":0.000000, "StarType":"A_BlueWhiteSuperGiant", "StellarMass":15.257813, "Radius":623250176.000000, "AbsoluteMagnitude":-1.404800, "Age_MY":888, "SurfaceTemperature":25649.000000, "SemiMajorAxis":1180561047552.000000, "Eccentricity":0.413836, "OrbitalInclination":-43.050880, "Periapsis":160.216782, "OrbitalPeriod":3183072512.000000, "RotationPeriod":23170.423828, "AxialTilt":0.000000 }

This gets recorded in TCE as a "B" Class Star. Also EDDiscovery records it as a "B" Class Star. Which is Odd as you can see the Journal Entry is "A_BlueWhiteSuperGiant" so why does it get recorded as a "B" Class Star?

I need to raised this as a bug with FDev, but do you know why TCE pharses this as a "B" Class Star?

ISSUE 2
Registering a new station and the contents of the drop downs are obscured. FONT = FONT ZOOM = 75%

MARKET TYPE, ECONOMIES, RARE WARE ETC.

ISSUE 3
OPTIONS PANEL:

GENERAL: Changed Clock to LOCAL and 24H isn't saved and reverts back to default UTC and 12H. Just going to another option in the menu and back shows that it's reverted back to default settings. Although the selecting seems to haver reverted the change made is actually done.

SOUND: Selecting TTS option, but then unable to turn this option off again.

Hell Yes does anybody support thier product and answer their customers reasonable request like Eventure does? If you haven't donated to this great app and this Awesome developer then well shame on you that is all I can say. Thank you Eventure for all you do, I cannot wait to see the "- Added the ability to select no commodity to buy/sell at a market to the Route Planner panel." Thanks again so much this will make my trading so much easier.

N.R.Crosby

It has already been added.

Noticed an issue with the new market panel after the latest update.

I'm unable to scroll down to select planetary outpost:
http://imgur.com/a/LodI7http://imgur.com/a/LodI7

This happens on both monitor resolutions: 3440x1140 and 1920x1980.

Also, as coordinates are not really used at the new market panel, would it be possible to swap the tab order on the bottom to have services, others, and coordinates as the order?

Registering a new station and the contents of the drop downs are obscured. FONT = FONT ZOOM = 75%

MARKET TYPE, ECONOMIES, RARE WARE ETC.

Oh, I missed that. Will release a fix for that today. Will also change the order as suggested.

#EMPTY entries will be replaced, so check your modified entry again, if there are no spaces at the beginning or end.

You didn't tell me, where TCE is showning it as B-Class. As shown in my last response to your issue, TCE detecting it properly at the Cartography panel.
The main star class for a system didn't come from a scan. It is reported in the "StartJump" event.

Will check and fix it with the next update.

Can you send the mouse cursor in TCE via Voice attack to a set of X Y window coordinate, is that possible while in borderless mode ?

Sry, I don't use VA, so it isn't possible for me at the moment.

Joystick control , was always at the higher end of the ask...no worries

As Ive said currently moving the mouse with VA, for use with ED Galaxy map

Can you send the mouse cursor in TCE via Voice attack to a set of X Y window coordinate, is that possible while in borderless mode ?

Open Notes;
click inside Notes
Paste last system

All done with Voice Attack and sending the Mouse cursor to the TCE window x y coordinate

I apologize for the late reply, I just saw this message. You can absolutely use voice attack to move the mouse to interact with TCE. I use VA to do a discover scan, then move the mouse to the second monitor and set the system status to scanned. I also have a script that enters first discovery in the notes of a system if needed. To setup use the VA function to move the mouse and then use the mouse move tool to set where you want the mouse moved. I also run borderless.

Update [1.5.9.6] released:

Changelog:
- Added some new events regarding station services and star system population introduced at the ED 2.4 Beta.
- Fixed an issue with the Clock options at the Options panel.
- Fixed an issue with the Text-to-Speech option at the Options panel.
- Fixed an issue with the dropdown at the Market Database panel.
- Fixed some smaller display issues at the Star System Summary panel.
- Removed the dropdown when entering a population value at the Navigation and Faction panel.

Note:
Copy all files from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french to help in translating the
latest interface phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

Awesome work as always. New market entry panel is working great. Thank you for rearranging tabs.

@All

1. Note:
TCE can't be used in the actual ED beta, because of undocumented changes to the journal file name structure for the beta, so TCE can't find them actually.

2. Request:
If anyone playing around with the ED beta, please try a Nav Beacon scan and send me the journal from the session, so I can check the events stored there. I can't do it myself currently. Please send it via the Report a Bug button at the launcher.
Thanks in advance.

There are no spaces and they are defiantly not being used by new star systems. I have 8 #EMPTY slots currently and as every system I'm travelling to is a new entry into the db they should be being used. See the db I sent you yesteraday

This is a Journal bug that I need to raise as you can see in the entry below, the Star Class prior to Jumping is "B" and after scanning the star it's a "A_BlueWhiteSuperGiant" both of which are wrong as it should be an "A BLUE SUPERGIANT" which isn't in FDev's documentation for the Journal. I was just letting you know that this isn't a TCE issue it's a Journal Issue.

Hi Eventure,

with the latest release TCE 1.5.9.6 it seems the colours for system security at the main panel is wrong again. I had a couple of systems with "Mittlere Sicherheit" and all were red. They used to be yellow.

I know, it's a minor thing, but it's irritating me.

Thanks for your good work

Homunk

After diggin alittle more, I have found the issue. It was sadly introduced with the ability to process duplicate star system names.
The next update will fix the issue.

The base color is red, before TCE is checking the security state and changing the color for higher states. I reworked all security displays now, so it should show up properly with the next update.
If you expierence thereafter similar coloring issues, I would require the journal file for the session.

This utility is a real godsend for mere mortals such as me. Got to grips with it without much ado but have a problem now. Just started doing missions and having been blown to bits have several dead missions now sitting in TCE. They have all expired their timeline but I cannot see a way to delete them as at my advanced my I sometimes easily get easily confused. Can someone please give the assistance I need?

William

PROBLEM SOLVED ITSELF - POSSIBLY WHEN I INSTALLED THE LATEST UPDATE.

Jolly good. Out of curiosity, where did all the duplicates come from? Also will those records be taken up by new star systems?

STAR SYSTEMS THAT IS LABELLED INCORRECTLY.

COL 259 SECTOR SR-X A18-2 SHOULD BE > COL 359 SECTOR SR-X A18-2

Hi Eventure,
Since last version 1.5.9.6 I discovered the following strange behaviour: When I launch TCE, after 60% progress bar, TCE says "8 UNPROCESSED JOURNALS DETECTED! START PROCESSING NOW?" (replace 8 with any number it is behind so far).
This is the first time ever that I see this behaviour. Odd thing is that everytime I say "YES" and let the program do its work, after exiting and launching TCE again, the same box pops up.
What I have done so far:
Switched back to last version 1.5.9.3 I had installed (worked without this issue) didnt help.
Switching back to any version 1.5.9.5 or 1.5.9.4 didnt help.
Repairing the database... nope.
Running TCE as admin... nope.
Everything I did so far didnt help. This box pops up every time. Looks like an internal counter is not progressing (or whatever it is).
Any idea? If needed I can mail you the error report with the zipped databases.

EDIT:
I just figured that the maximum trading range is not saved. it always jumps back to 100 ly after starting TCE.

STAR SYSTEMS THAT IS LABELLED INCORRECTLY.

COL 259 SECTOR SR-X A18-2 SHOULD BE > COL 359 SECTOR SR-X A18-2

All duplicate star systems coming from EDDB. I will frequently update the table with new duplicates.

Will check it, a bug report is always good. The Trade Range is stored properly, but maybe you hadn't hit the enter key after your input?

I did press the enter key. I even just rechecked to be sure that I really did. It does not save the trade range nor it keeps track of the journal progress. An error report is on its way. As all of TCE works perfect and others don't have this behaviour I also think the culprit is hidden somewhere in the dbs.

NEGATIVE STATEMENTS IN TCE

Apologies if this has been asked already but Ifail to find reference to it. I am entering a lot of data manually as I have previously scanned my area extensivly which is time consuming but I have come across a few issues whilst cataloging that I feel I need to resolve and that is the negative (the use of the minus key) as I input the data I sometime come across the Orbit Period and Rotational Period are different but some are as per screen shot showing Orbital Rotation as - 8.4. How can I record this in TCE?

Grateful for a workaround or a how to thanks....

MANUAL INPUT NOT IN SEQUENCE

Apologies if this has also been asked already but I failed to find reference to it. I am again entering a lot of data manually as I have previously scanned my area extensivly but I have come across another issues whilst cataloging that I feel could make things a bit easier and thats a reorder function. As you can see from the screenshot on thew legend on the left the manually imputed data is plainly in wrong numerical order even tho I delibrately imput the data numerically from main star to last star yet on adding the images the order has changed and not as intended. Is there an easier way to get things in order when manually inputing data?

Gratful for any advice on a work around, other than redoing it all again that is ;)
