************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

And then the new style summary panel looks corrupted. I'm was also unable to re-position the panel. Which I tried just in case it was mostly off screen. I then restarted TCE with the new option disabled and tried again and the old style panel was show correctly and then I was able to see the new style panel without issue (which looks great). So the problem appears to be if this panel isn't active and you activate it, but with the new style option first it doesn't work. You need to have displayed the old style first before activating the new style.

So to replicate don't have the Summary Panel being active old or new style.
Activate the panel, but new style first, and it'll be shown, but it will be corrupted
If I activate the panel in the old style first then change it to the new style it works fine.

NOTE: I get the error when the old style panel position was on the far right of my Primary Monitor which has the game on. Whereas when I moved the old style panel to the secondary monitor I no longer got the error and just got the corruption for the new style panel.

This is a thing on FD's side, the API is down. Same with EDMC, EDDI and so on. Nothing we could do about, we have to wait it out.

This is so annoying, they have screwed the API several times after updates and still manage to screw it up again. This should be on a list of things that they screw up after updates to prevent them from screwing it up again. That's what sensible development teams do. It's OK to make a mistake, but then to make the same mistake time and time again is inexcusable. Last time many 3rd Party Developers shut down their tools in protest of FDev not listening.

Details are here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/378874-cAPI-asking-user-to-purchase-ED

However EliteOCR saves the day. I can't remember the last time I used this, so had to re-calibrate and add new commodities to the list on the fly as I find them, still works a treat. :D

Here's my EliteOCR Jason file with all commodities as listed in TCE, pop it in your EliteOCR folder, make a backup of the old file just in case.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

Thanks for reporting, will be fixed with the next update.

I have a problem with the new summary panel (I love the new design btw), on my ultra wide screen it will not stay where I put it, instead it springs back to where it start from which is in the middle of the screen. Repositioning works fine with my laptop which has a 1080p screen. Switching to the old design works ok and positions correctly.

Workaround atm is to use the old design summary panel.

TCE 1.6.0.2 with windows 10 on a 2560x1080 screen.

Any ideas?

Regards
Fizz

No, by default all stations have a visit count of zero.
Previously, TCE counting all logbook entries of your commander, where a station was listed.
Now, TCE has a new column in the market database, where the visit count value is stored. If TCE detects on docking, that this value is zero,
TCE counting the logbook entries like before (and here is the bug, preventing it), adding one up and storing the count into the new column.

So now you are able to change the value, if the true value differs from the stored one, which wasn't possible before.

Because of the bug, all stations you dock currently, become a visit count of one, without adding the logbook entries. With the upcoming version to correct the count, you only have to modify the station,
which has a wrong visit count, edit the value to the proper one manually, or set it to zero again, so TCE recognizes it while saving, that the logbook entries have to be counted for the station,
and storing this value into the new visit count column of the database.

Ok -- thanks Eventure I will wait for the new patch and see how that goes. thanks again for your very quick replies :)

Got this activating the summary panel in options:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Got this activating the summary panel in options:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Eventure, Marvelous job btw will all the updates and patience you must have.

Seems I'm not the only one with issues using the new summary panel, mine appears to hug my primary monitor left side middle, but the rest of TCE is on my second monitor. If I revert back, the summary panel is back in the original position on the second panel. I can drag the summary window to the second monitor, but it won't stay and jumps back to the primary monitor as soon as I release the mouse.

Hope this helps with the debug. both screens running 1920 x 1080.

Thanks for the json file, I'll make use of this. I'd give you some rep but this forum won't let me. Apparently I have to spread it around.
It's a shame.

When modifying the planet information in the cartography. It keep losing the focus on field I'm trying to edit.
I click on the field and it seems to jump out of editing when I type 2 characters.

Yes, I've noticed this a lot, TCE keeps stealing the focus and it happens on and off in a variety of situations. For example, in Normal Cruise, In an SRV or Normal Space, when I'm typing in another window on a different monitor TCE keeps stealing focus, so I have to constantly click on the other window area to type. Also when I have a TCE window open on a secondary monitor and entering details into a field TCE appears to grab the focus back to the game. I thought it was the game, but I tried it a few times without TCE loaded and I didn't experience it happening, but as I've said it happens sometimes but not all times, so It's difficult to confirm it's TCE, although that is highly suspected to be the route cause.

Is that what you experience? I haven't reported it, as it doesn't happen all the time in the same situation.

It appears that this service is available in ALL stations, I can't confirm if that is true, but I haven't seen a station without it though. If this is the case then an icon for this won't be required.

I think not. In MAIA it is listed, but not available, signed because of "authory changes".

I had "Black Boxes", but it was not possible to give them up. Does someone know, how to interact with this "Search and Rescue"?

Bye, Christian

It depends mainly on, where you move your mouse pointer. If you have clicked onto a field, to enter some data, and move your mouse off the panel, TCE switches the focus back to ED.
I had done this, because some user criticized when using the mouse for steering, the focus stays on TCE and they nearly crashing into something, because they hadn't control of their ship.

Some interface panels, like the Main UI, Summary, Cargo or Waypoint panels (incl. their buttons) sending the focus back to ED also for the reasons of safety.
So I can only recommend to stay with your mouse pointer at a panel, where you want to enter something.

We have a new Station Service = SEARCH AND RESCUE can this be added to the Station Services List?

https://i.imgur.com/XleU4y9.png

I decided to not add the service for now, until we have more info's about availability and accessibility.

Fair enough.

That means it has the Service but due to it's current state some services become disabled. When it's enabled it'll become obvious how to access it, but only if you have the right cargo. Go to any station that has the service active, you can check in the system map.

On a slightly (very slightly) more serious note - once the API is fixed - using TCE with multiple Cmdr's.
You stated a couple of posts ago that their is only one database in TCE and it is shared between any and all Cmdr's.
If I wish to have two separate ones (for two totally different but nearby Cmdr's) is it possible to copy a database for each in and out of TCE when switching careers?

If so which file/folder would I be moving around?
