Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

When starting 1.6.1.1 and logging in I get the following error message:
"Error while reading records on table Materials: SQL logic error or missing database no such table: public_Materials"

After that TCE hangs.

Please install the required full version before, watch out, what requirements the update has, before copying it into your TCE installation!
The V1.6.1.1 requires an installation of V1.6.1! So please download and install the last full version before pasting the update into.

[1] NEW SUMMARY PANEL: STATION COUNT INCONSISTENT

When I have the system details selected, the count for Installations stays at ZERO, even after restarting TCE. As shown below.

However on the Station Summary View the count is correct for Registered/Unregistered Bases, but ZERO for Locations saved, when in the example shown below I have 9 saved Locations.
However I don't know if that's intentional, because when I click on the Locations Icon then the summary is correct. Purhaps it should either show all and count correctly or only show what's valid for that selection, Stations or Locations.

[2] NEW SUMMARY PANEL: SCROLL BAR SHOWN WHEN FIRST STARTED

When first starting TCE the scroll bar is shown for the current system (I'm in) which has many stations and locations saved. But after opening the Panel and closing it is now correctly not shown.
The scroll bar is also shown when you add a new station, in this example. Open and close the SUMMARY and the scroll bar has gone.

NOTE: This only happens in systems with 6 or more Stations, both Space and Planetary.

[3] NEW SUMMARY PANEL: Selecting a Location from the SUMMARY Panel, shows the destination as just : SECTOR 0, but selecting the same Locations from the NAVIGATION PANEL, shows the correct destination.

[4] NEW CARGO PANEL: "UNKNOWN" has changed to "THARGOID"

[5] There is no CRACKED INDUSTRIAL FIRMWARE [DATE] in the list, maybe because you didn't get my Journal log, which I've now emailed.

[6] OPTIONS MENU Remove button option isn't clickable and doesn't appear to do anything with the new SUMMARY & CARGO PANELS.

[7] NAVIGATION/STAR SYSTEM PANEL Unable to type more than 3 characters in the STAR SYSTEM NAME column. However you can paste in the full system name.

ERROR LOG AND DB'S EMAILED

Thanks, thanks and thanks again. Great report, found everything with ease. Exemplary!

The Remove Button option at the Options panel is only activatable, if you have selected a keybind to the panel. Will add a note, if no keyboard key is assigned.

@Because of some database modifications, a new full release will go out soon!

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french to help in translating the
latest interface phrases and commodities at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

If anyone experience an error on launch or an error when rares in cargo, please reload and install the full version again. Missed a small thing.
Thanks

Still the same Error appears using 1.6.2.

Please try to install TCE into a new folder, launch it thereafter and transfer your old database, if you have one, into the new version.
Don't install it into a folder of an already installed version.

See the FAQ:
Question: What I have to do, when a new version of TCE is released?
Answer: With every FULL release, pls do the following:

1. Rename your installed TCE version folder (e.g. from C:\TCE to C:\TCE.old).
2. Install the new full release version of TCE (e.g. C:\TCE).
3. Run the launcher of TCE, go to the Database window, click the TRANSFER button and select your old TCE version folder (e.g. C:\TCE.old).
4. TCE scans all database files and when completed, click the START TRANSFER button.
5. After the transfer was finished, click the VERIFY button to make sure, all is transferred properly.
6. If an error appears on a database, don't worry, click the REPAIR button to let TCE fix the error.

With an UPDATE release (see version requirement), copy the contents of the file into your current TCE folder and overwrite all required files.

Hi Eventure,
thank you for the very nice updates. I especially like the new cargo panel with the materials listed and also the new summary panel.
Just one small question: Would it be possible to have either a coloured frame around the star image at the summary panel, to see right away, whether a star is scoopeable? Or may be the star's name could be in different colours.

Thanks
Homunk

It already shows if the Star is scoopable, as you can see here.

Some issues, but: I'm not sure if you're are bothered about these, as they are only happening when using EliteOCR to record the commodities market. I just thought I'd let you know, as I'm not too bothered about them as I can work round them fairly easily.

1: The auto destination fails to work when you've completed the scan. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, I'd guess about 60% of the time it fails. However as EDMC isn't yet working I can't confirm if this will happen when it is working, probably not.
2: When a price has scanned incorrectly and then edited, the red 'X' remains red, and the changed value isn't then saved, it is saved as 0.
3: Related to the above [2]. When a value hasn't been saved correctly and then you attempt to manually change it, the change isn't saved. What happens is, you change the value, press ENTER and the selection moves to the next column reseting the value you have just changed to what it was previously. So you have to keep scanning that part until it's successful.
4: METHANOL MONOHYDRATE CRYSTALS are not scanning, even thought they are in EliteOCR commodities list. I've also tried it with METHANOL MONOHYDRATE as that's how it's displayed in the commodities market even though they are called METHANOL MONOHYDRATE CRYSTALS. And as they don't scan you can't manaully edit it due to the above issue [3]

I know, but since the new summary panel stays open all the time, what I like by the way, I would like to see it without moving the cursor over the image. Or did I miss something?

You can close it, and no you haven't missed something.

How about this add:

Maybe I can remove the icon, if it is not scoopable, would like to hear, what other think about. Please make a note.
Thanks

You may have already tried this but I find that if a commodity has a red X after a scan scrolling the commodities list in Elite up or down slightly and scanning again usually cures it.

Hi Eventure,
anything would be fine with me. As long as I can see whether the star is scoopeable without an additonal action.

Thanks for considering.

Uhhh..., have to clean up the dust, that had settled onto the code. [smile]
Found all issues, will release an update today to fix them.

Update [1.6.2.1] released:

Changelog:
- Added an icon to show a non-/scoopable star at the new Summary panel.
- Added a missing icon file for salvage goods to the JPG folder.
- Fixed an issue adding factions with influence level of zero.
- Fixed some issues with the manual edit of values at the Commodity panel.

Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder (see version requirements) to update your version.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish and russian to help in translating the
latest interface phrases and commodities at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

bAdbUd,
I've spent about 6 hours on these two files with 98% accuracy now. I've added all materials to the files that Eventure has in the database.
Feel free to use them, see if that helps, METHANOL MONOHYDRATE is in there, but did you add CRYSTALS yourself to the name?

Thanks for sharing,

"METHANOL MONOHYDRATE CRYSTALS" is the proper name for the EDMC output, so TCE can recognize it, but it is listed as "METHANOL MONOHYDRATE" in the commodity market of ED, afaik.
So you could rename the good for EliteOCR, to be properly recognized, but you have to change it back, when the cAPI is running again for EDMC.

I like how you are always updating and improving TCE, but please please keep the option to use the old summary panel. :)
I use a few voice attack scripts to manually set star type, explored status, and set first discovery notes on the summary panel. All of these depend on the position of the summary panel. The original summary panel works great for me. Keep up the awesome work!

since the changelog does not mention Cargo I guess this is an open issue?

Shopping for a Rare (Shinrarta Waters) causes an exception in 1.6.2
