Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

No. When you scan ships you sometimes get a data fragment. To my knowledge these can not be brought. They are like materials. You have to scavenge for them by scannong ships, high wakes, thargoids etc.

That's what he meant, a shopping list could only contain items which can be bought. Mats and data can't, so TCE can't help you to accomodate those.
But eventually, take a look at EDEngineer, this should suit your needs regarding this topic.

So adding a session counter to the Mission Summary would be enough?
That might do the job :)

Also, I've got a bug to report: I've been using the Routes > Finder option to choose a trade loop. It initially sets up fine, but as soon as arrive in the destination system, it clears out the destination as a Manual Destination with "NO DESTINATION SELECTED". On arriving at the target station the current location changes as expected and tells me what to buy, but the manual destination remains blank.

I'm pretty sure it used to change the destination to the other station in the loop until a few updates ago.

But it already has a section for materials you gather on planets for engineers in the shopping list (at least I think it did).

I want to create a shopping list of items I need for an engineer recipe. If I can add materials then why not data?

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought I saw a list of materials in one of the shopping list menus.

Regardless, if materials are not on there a shopping list of things you need to scavenge for a recipe would be very useful in TCE.

You may want to look here, has all you need to track materials and data and it does it in real time. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-to-track-your-blueprint-progress-in-realtime

Found the issue, will be fixed with the next update.
Thanks for reporting.

Hi everyone,

I like to show you today the upgraded search filter for the Navigation panel (Star Systems):
s4vElHe.png

Now you will have more filter options to easily find, what you want.

In addition, I like to upgrade the displayed list of star systems, trying to add more data, like the population, etc.
So it comes to my mind, to ask you, what you like to see of informations at a glance, without clicking through the star systems itself?
Should I add another row for each star system to add all new infos there, as like the new Shopping panel or as shown in the Route Finder, which will reduce the number of star systems shown?
Or should we let it as it is, only with a small visual upgrade of the headers?

Hey Eventure,

Here are some additional bugs I'd run in to. Did a quick scan of the most recent posts to see if anyone else reported them and didn't see anything (though I didn't do a thorough read).

* The shopping list does not seem to maintain the information that was added to it between sessions. After I close Elite and TCE when I restart TCE the shopping list information is gone.

* In the Options panel, Event Reporter, I cannot select the Shopping Alert checkbox. When I click it, it only turns on and off the Activate checkbox above. I think this may also be happening with the Delay Until Message Removal checkbox now as well.

* The Missions panel does not seem to maintain its font size information (when changed) nor screen position. The font size in the Control input dialog remains fixed but the actual font size goes back to default until you go to modify the font size again, at which point it reverts to what you'd previously set it to.

* Also the Missions panel does not seem to show all the missions that I have active. (This one has been around awhile, I just didn't know if it was only supposed to show certain ones). Often I'll have a dozen missions active but the Missions panel will only show 2 to 4 active missions.

Those new filter options are great! Will be very handy.

As for additional information for each line on that screen, for me (so far at least in the way I use that panel) what is initially shown on the single line seems most relevant to me. Perhaps with more use I'll think of something more I'd like to see there.

If you add some more information it seems you might find a little extra room by reducing the width of the Star Class field , and maybe also State.

I do have a couple minor feature requests.

* Could there also be an option to display the date along with the time. I often put the date when making notes, but it's not always visible on the current location display. So if it could be an option to display along side the time display that would be helpful.

* On the Star System Summary (old view), could you include the Solar Radius value. When I enter a new star system and the first thing I see is the star, I'd like to have an idea of just how big the star is, since it's not always apparent visually. The game seems to size stars based on their relative size to the Sun (solar Radius value). It may not be all that relevant, but it's just something I find interesting to know. Although I guess it can be relevant when you're trying to navigate around it to get to something on the other side or otherwise going around the star.

Oh and on the Star System Summary, the new population information you added, I think it might be slightly easier to read if there were a space before and after the number, between the parentheses.

I don't know I guess you can see how that looks and decide if it looks okay. Just a personal preference of mine which I think improves legibility, but others may have a different opinion. I tend to shrink the font a bit, so that probably impacts how well I can quickly take in the information.

Alternatively you could include something like "pop." before the number, or put it on a separate line.

Hi Eventure

The new Navigation Panel is looking good - it will be helpful having additional search parameters/filters.

I think that it is best if each star system is on only one row rather than expanding onto 2 as otherwise only a few systems would be visible at any one time.

Personally the additional information I would like to see would be the number of visits to a system and also population. I appreciate that population might be difficult owing to available space but if you abbreviated the number it should fit. What I had in mind was this 3,225,684,258 could be shortened to 3.2B (B for billion) or 3,225,458 = 3.2M (M for million) or 3,225 = 3.2K (K for thousand). This way the population field would be 4 to 6 characters at most. What do you think?

EDIT: Never mind, my PC bluescreened soon after, did some updates on a reboot, and now TCE starts just fine. I guess Windows decided it was a great idea to update some DLLs that were in use. I'll keep an eye out for this again, but disregard this, for now :)

So I just traded in my T7 for a Python, and was met with this. Clicking OK resulted in TCE crashing out. Now I get the same error after running the launcher too. No idea why, just thought I'd let you know. Any ideas on how to rebuild this data?

Please send me your EDMC_Hangar.csv file from the EDMC_data folder to eventure_at_ki.tng.de.
Do you use any special character in your ship names, e.g. commas, etc.?

The shopping list is not saved, as long as you doesn't saved it with the button at the panel. But I will add an auto-save when you quit TCE and it will be reloaded when starting again.

Yup, the Shopping Alert button won't work as intended, will be fixed with the next update. You can activate the option by changing the ShopAlert parameter to "True" at the TCE.config file manually until the patch approaches.

The position and font values are stored, but not initialized on opening the Mission panel. Will be fixed also with the next update.

Do you have TCE always running, when playing ED? TCE can only recognize the mission data properly, when it is running.

I do have a couple minor feature requests.

* Could there also be an option to display the date along with the time. I often put the date when making notes, but it's not always visible on the current location display. So if it could be an option to display along side the time display that would be helpful.

Thought of adding the actual date too, will try to add it with one of the next updates.

The radius data of a star is only available, if you have scanned the star before.
As I noted with the release of the new Summary panel, I don't intend to upgrade the old version further.
I had planned to replace the old version (that why i created the new one), but some users, maybe you too, liked the old one, so I postponed the replacement.

Will rework the display to be better readable.

Yes, this way we will get a little more room, will check that out.

No special characters, aside from a space in one of my ships that I wasn't flying/trading in at the time.

Sent you the file, as requested!

Oh geeze I totally missed the Save button. [noob] I need to be more observant. Or read the directions. Anyhow, good to hear you are putting in an auto-save option.

I didn't realize the star's radius was only available if it was first scanned. I guess all the one's I mainly see now (being relatively new) have mostly been pre-scanned and are in my ship's computer. Well all the more reason to scan unexplored stars I guess. [smile]

I do like the old Summary Panel since it will pop up when I enter a system and I can quickly see some information about the system without having to move my hand off my Hotas and onto the mouse.

As for the Missions Panel, yes I always have TCE up and running while playing Elite now. Not sure why it's rarely showing active missions. For instance I currently have 9 active missions that I picked up while TCE was running, but TCE is showing me as having 0 active missions. And from what I can tell they don't otherwise get recorded for completion. I completed a bunch of missions yesterday and it doesn't show them as having been done, though an Aborted one shows up in the history. :(

Oh and that reminds me of a Feature Request I had. Could you add the Failed Percentage next to the number of failed missions. Perhaps you can also put the Completed percent as well. I'm mainly interested in what percentage of missions I'm failing. Like right now it looks like I'm failing 12 - 15% of my missions (though that might be because it's not recording all my missions right now).

Hey Eventure as always Arrghhh maintaining 2 PC with TCE spent the better part of the evening updating be nice if I could get the my better halve to take care of hers LOL love what looks like some neat new features how goes the revamp of TCE-Relay any luck?

Also why I have figure out how to copy and paste my cartography pics over after a Full Version update I can never seem to save my keybindings which file holds those? and why don't it backup with the old DB am I most likely doing something wrong everything thing seems to backup and restore ok

OK another one I am having problems with transferring is Faction History after full installs I lose whatever history I had for my faction anyway to import that as well?

[1] HIRE CREW ISSUES
[A] When adding a crew member if you take a picture before updating the name, the picture is removed when you've added a name.

When deleting a Hired Pilot, that isn't first in the list, all added pilots are removed.

[C] When deleting a Hired Pilot in position 3 in the list, all 3 are removed and the "ADD NEW PILOT" function is also removed. Requiring TCE to be restarted. Also Add a Pilot Slot and then delete it and again the "ADD NEW PILOT" function is removed, when this is the only pilot in the list.

[D] Add a pilot, then take a picture, don't update NAME or SHARE %age and then add a 2nd Pilot and take a picture and the first pilot added now has the same picture as the 2nd pilot, also happens with the 3rd Pilot added. Basically if you don't update the Pilot Picture, Name and Share, prior to adding a 2nd/3rd Pilot then the picture will change to the 2nd/3rd pilots picture.

[E] You are aloud to add more than 3 pilots to the list, you can only ever have 3 pilots though.

[2] STAR SCANNED VALUE IN EVENT REPORTER IS SHOWN AS ZERO

This appears to happen with ALL stars

JT7Nxjw.png

No values are shown for Planets, I don't know if that's intended though?

FILES EMAILED.
