Hi Eventure

A suggestion for your consideration if it is practical. When searching for a particular Star System to travel to in the Navigation Panel when you have a large Trade Range (>150 LYs), it can take a very long time to scroll down and find the Star System itself. Would it be possible to have an optional input box to enter the Star System name directly, or the first few characters of it, and thus retrieve it almost instantly?

Plus you'll see when changing the filters you can type in a specific star system name.

Since that update, TCE only changes the star class of a star system, if no star class was stored before (e.g. unknown, star class = 0 in DB).

I know about that, I believe I reported it, but I thought I'd managed to catch them all previously. Plus there is a significantly high number of Star Systems with incorrect Star Class's, I've changed over 200 over the last two days, easily. That means to change 200 I've actually checked around 2000 systems. That's equating to a failure rate of 10%. It could be that I haven't been to the Pleiades for a long while and I have my range set to 1000 LY's, so it's possible I've just started noticing them, especially when I saw Blackhole as an entry star and I knew it was a secondary boby. I'm be more observant with dates when I start finding others and check when that system last had an update.

hello everyone , i am having a huge problems in reading my Journals, it seems it gets stuck until now in 2 entries :

it gives errors on each encounter with these errors and there is hundreds of them , and i got about 1000+ journal file , so its near impossible to check each file.

Please let the EDDB-Relay update your star systems, if you not have done it before or not with the V1.6.6.8. Found the issue and a fix will be included into the next release.
I found also some duplicates factions entries, you are tracking, at the player.data file. Remove them and edit the number of tracked factions manually at the file (found in \CMDR\YourName\).

Using EDDB Relay, how often is it suggested or desirable to update Prices, assuming you want reasonably up-to-date prices, Star Systems and Factions?

Also what exactly does the "Data Age of Prices" field actually do? At the default of 14 days, I am assuming all my database prices older than 14 days will be updated when I press the update button. Is this correct?

If you choose 1 Day, then TCE will update all prices except the prices which got updated today.
EDDB creates a nightly dump of all prices from the last day till 6 am of the actual day.

So 14 Days would only update markets which were last updated => 14 days ago. I'm not sure why you want anything updated that's older than the most recent, such as 1 Day though. I think having all the other options isn't required. I always have it set to 1 day.

Getting back into ED. Installed the latest versions of TCE and EDMC. Followed the install/update instructions, all went well.

But now I'm not getting any market data. Doing the update on EDMC updates there but not in TCE. Still says "Update Required"

Use the Connect button in the middle of the UI to update the market, you are currently, instead of clicking onto the update button of the EDMC GUI.
