Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

You don't have to add new markets yourself, this is all done now automatically upon approach and docking.

Well just flew into another new market and it didn't update. I got the red colored click to add location. Why does that show up?

I enter all the info again and click save and the "click to ad location" still there. So what I think you are telling me happens doesn't.

I did all that transfer verify the first time and it seemed to have worked fine. The first click to ad location station was there and registered. But this next one still remains unregistered and still flashing red click to ad location.

Does your current location window in TCE show you as being in that station? Idk if it's all been fixed but there have been issues since 3.0 of TCE not recognizing you have landed, and then you won't get the station added, or be able to.

It may not be the issue causing your troubles just thought I'd mention that. If it just shows your location as in the system but not the station there is something else going on. Usually when this happens restarting TCE will get it register. It's mostly happened with planetary bases for me.

@ Yt Noyz...stupd question, but I have to ask. You have successfully run EDMC at least once, right? TCE uses the command line for EDMC, so if EDMC doesn't work for you, i.e. you have not done the acct verification, I don't think TCE command line for TCE will work either.

That aside, adding stations manually should work, although completely unnecessary with TCE, and I'm sure Eventure will figure that out.

1. Do you using the lastest release (V1.6.7.7)?
2. Is the station, which TCE can't identify, a planetary port or a space-based station?
3. Was it registered before or it is a new port/station?
4. I have never become any ErrorReportFiles.7z file from you, would be helpful to see, what your selected options are.
Please click onto the 'Report A Bug' button at the Launcher and attach the file from the TCE root folder to the report and send it to me.
5. Do you have activated the 'Minimap panel on Planets' at the Options panel (Panel Configuration) or at the Settings tab of the Launcher?
6. When you approach the port/station (requesting docking), is the port/station properly displayed at the HUD's Position Display?
7. When you have docked at the port/station, is the port/station name shown at the HUD's Position Display?
8. Do you have the issue with every port/station you encounter?
9. When comes the point, where the Position Display no longer showing the proper station (after the request to dock, after you have finally docked, ...)?

I will bring out today a new update, which will address the planetary port detection problem. With ED 3.03 I hope that Frontier consider my posted suggestions, especially for planetary flights and make so my and other devs life easier.

Hi Eventure

Glad to see you are recovering from your bout of flu.

I have been travelling for the last 10 days unable to run ED and last night I updated TCE to the latest version along with EDMC. The update of TCE and update of EDDB Relay went fine, no errors. As I did not have time last night to play ED, I simply closed TCE and got an unhandled exception. So I restarted TCE and verified my DB. All was fine, no errors and I closed TCE with the same, I presume, unhandled exception. I don't think this is a serious problem but I have not yet tried to run ED with TCE.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Have emailed the error report to you.

Thanks, Rob

Thanks for the recent updates, and glad your health is improving. [up]

Just updated and keep getting the error below when I try to launch TCE, the overlay, and it just hangs loading at 60% I also went back a verified my DB and the outfitting had an error and was unrepairable. So I went with replace it with default or whatever the option says. Still get the below error when actually trying to launch the overlay.

TCE detected an error at the following event:docked

Error message:
Object variable or with block variable not set

Event debug:
This goes on to list the station I logged out at last night and all its information.

If I click ok, TCE will load, and it shows my current location in the window. I have not begun to do anything yet so idk if there are other problems caused by this yet. I will get an error report over to you in a moment. I made it after TCE actually loaded though so not sure if it will still help?

Slowly, but yes. Thanks.

Found the issue, will be fixed tomorrow with a new update.
Thanks for reporting!

Hi Eventure,
I have a problem with my outfitting.db. Verify stops with an error and on repair TCE says it's not repairable. I think this is because I unlocked an experimental weapon from a Technology Broker. Could it be? And what to do?

Thanks
Homunk

Can you send me your database, will take a look, why it is an unrepairable error.
Thanks

Thanks for all the fixes!

Quick question; is there any way to limit the draw area for panels? When the Summary panel slides in from the right, it appears on the left side of my second monitor before sliding into my main one. A minor visual annoyance, to be sure, but it would be nice if it could be clipped off to prevent it being visible on the other monitor.

Have to workout to fix this display issue, but how about moving it to the left side of the screen.

A good idea for me in the meantime, thanks :)

I'm afraid I just landed at my first station on the new version, and I'm getting a False Market error when it tries to update.

Also worth noting that it still thinks I'm Docked at the port I started off in. Just trying to restart TCE now...

You should reduce the font size of the icon-based UI by selecting the CONTROL button (the most left one), then selecting PANEL.
Now you will see the CONTROL window, where you can change the transparency, font size and panel size. Reduce the font size, so the text display fits into the panels.

Did you have done the Auto-Detection of ED at the Launcher? It's worth a try, if TCE won't follow the journal output, like not showing any changes to the ship state indicator, at the top of the Position display (the left one).
There should be shown, if you are Docked, Undocked, Normal Flight, Supercruise, etc.

Then people with extra monitors on the left will complain. :p

I suggest that those who find this behavior irritating simply use the free panel placement option. It conveniently also requires less work on your part.

The main problem is, that it is difficult to test with only one screen. :D

Ah, I'll do that thanks - though my screen isn't this small, it's just a clipping I took to show the market exists on EDDB :)

I did the auto-detection previously, and had no problems before. Maybe it's just from the version upgrade - I'm verifying my huge outfitting DB at the minute, but I'll try re-detecting afterwards.

The main problem is, that it is difficult to test with only one screen. :D

How are you testing multi-monitor support, seeing as it's in the settings? :O Do we need to start a campaign to buy you a second monitor? ;)
