Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

TCE exporting visited star systems to ED. Duplicates meaning, that ED knows already about the star system.
You can disable that feature at the Options panel.

Cool, so I gather this is only useful if you're further out in the black?

Has anyone went to Sol and then created a DB of all the bubble?

Park in Sol and create DB with a:

Range: 400LY
Around: SOL
Distance: 20,000 LS

What size would the DB be? I have no idea how much space such a DB can take? Will it cause significant slow down?

You can check the size at the DB folder of TCE. The performance depends on your system and your selected Trade Range.

Hey Eventure,

In the personl/missions panel, it shows you the influence and reputation, and then 'med'. With the new system in game, the missions are rated with '+' signs. So a mission that gets you a little bit of inf might show a + or ++ and one that gets you a lot will show ++++ or +++++ for example. Is there way to show this in that panel? It would be a great way to track missions you did, how much inf you accrued, and then cross check that with how much inf changed on the next tick. Of course, it will never directly correlate, since other commanders might work your system, but it is a really good way to check effort vs effect.

The personal/active bounties tab doesn't seem to clear bounties as you claim them. They are easy to remove though. Is that a game detection thing, or is there a pattern? i.e. if you claim them at an IF, they don't get removed?

The mission output of the journal showing only 'None', 'Low', 'Med' and 'High' for influrnce or reputation. It could be turned easily to '-', '+', '++' and '+++', if it is favored. What is the community saying about?
There is a bug at the journal output for redeeming bounties, where an empty string is written for the faction, so TCE can't identify, from which faction the bounty comes. That's why I added the Delete button for the user.

+1 for this
I'd even suggest to count/summarize inf where appropriate for convenience. Would never be 100% correct bc we don't get any real numbers from ED, but it's a start at least.

That is disappointing. I don't know if it would just add confusion if they are not consistent with what the mission screen says. Since we don't know what FD equates 'med' to, I'm not sure it's a good idea. And I have no clue how to ask FD.

Good suggestion. The impact of your missions is chopped up based on the tick, which moves sometimes. Right now I think it's at 0700 EST in the US. Maybe a box where you could enter "Time of Tick", or a drop down box that offers times at 30 min intervals, and you pick the right one. Then TCE groups or highlights which missions fall within that band for each 24hr period?

I imagine you'd have to include the day as well. For example...

It's 1 March 2018, tick is at 0700. You select 1 March and 0700. TCE then groups or highlights missions that fall within each 24 hr period from 0700 to 0700 from 1 March to today.

On 10 March, tick moves to 1000. You find out about it on 13 March and so you select 10 March and 1000. TCE then leaves missions grouped from 1 to 10 march grouped from 0700 to 0700, and groups or highlights missions from 1000 to 1000 from 10 March to today.

Or something like that. You just have to account for the tick changing, and TCE maintaining grouping as it changes.

Maybe add a couple columns that shown date groups, # of missions, and # of missions for each inf bucket. Like:
1 March...8 missions...Low: 2, Med: 3, High: 3
2 March...9 missions...Low: 2, Med: 3, High: 4
.
.
10 March...10 missions...Low: 2, Med: 3, High: 5
11 March...8 missions...Low: 0, Med: 3, High: 5
12 March...5 missions...Low: 1, Med: 2, High: 2

*edit: you'd have to include a way to show which factions those missions were for.

I dunno...just throwing that out there. I used to track this in an excel spreadsheet, so I don't 'waste' effort. I know system conditions dictate effectiveness, but I had track this, so I knew when to stop and say, ok, it's not going to matter much if I do more stuff for moving inf.

So a bit of a feature request: It's useful that Active Bounties are tracked so we can find where to cash them in, but is there any way you could add tracking of cashed in bounties in the same section? It'd be nice to be able to track them like missions, with bounties cashed in a session, last session, and over all time, and be able to split them by faction, especially if you're looking to up faction influence in times of war.

Version [1.6.8.9] released

Changelog:
- Fixed an error on opening the Cartography panel, requesting an image, which is not yet included into the installation.
- Fixed an issue when the Camera panel is closed by a keybind, the Scan Protocol or Personal panel staying hidden.
- Fixed an issue with the ring type data, showing 'metalrich' without space in-between.
- Fixed a small display issue at the Scan Protocol panel, when highlighting a row when moving the mouse.
- Fixed an error when trying to take a picture from a body or star at the Cartography or Scan Protocol panel.
- Fixed an issue with nav beacon scans, that the credit value for a star or body was added to the total scan value.

Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the
latest interface phrases, common commodities and rare commodities at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

All good suggestions, but currently I am working at the Cartography panel, reworking it in some areas, which I think, you all would love to have it. I have received some feature requests also via PM, so I have to set priorities.
The new Cartography panel will bring TCE in this area to a new level, for instance, the Star System Map will be very similar to the in game one, I have added some pictures below (ED/TCE):
V565 Persei Star System From ED:
7OTJFEr.png
TCE displays it like this:
vmYwc3Q.png

or the Merak Star System in ED:
OQjTZHE.png
And in TCE it looks like this:
9Ctd8rg.jpg

You can click on every displayed star, body or belt to gain detailed data about the object, similar to the info panels from the old star system map in TCE.

The display is only available for new cartography data, which contains bodyid and parents data. Because the old collected cartography data in TCE missing the required data,
I plan to introduce an update function, like the one for EDDB data, for old cartography data from EDSM, to fill the gaps in the database.

How do you like it? Feel free to discuss!

Not bad!

How much information do you manage to extract from systems/bodies/stations? I was updating some station locations on ROSS the other day, and was thinking "it would be really nice if someone automated all this data entry". I've not looked into the EDDB/ROSS APIs though, and have no idea how easy it would be.

It could also be considered something that might be outside the scope of your program, since you rely on third party programs to download/update various services - If you think so too, don't worry about it!

Hi Eventure,

the shopping list for elements doesn't show any location anymore, although at the cartography panel I can select systems with planets having the desired elements.
By the way, Frohe Ostern.

A long awaited for feature addition, obviously I love it. [heart]

I'm having a problem with the route finder. Either I am setting something wrong, or it's not seeing a trade that is in the trade panel. I sent you a link to the vid.

Thanks for the report. As I can see your filter setting blocking the route, because you have set it to 3000 (min. stock), but the return goods (Mineral Oil, Beer or Water) stock level is quite low.
Reduce the min. stock to 1 and you will find the route.

Cool, thanks. I'll keep the stock at 1 and profit/unit at 1 and do the eyeball check to make sure stock is high enough.

Hey Eventure,

I know you're working on the cartography panel, but...

Is there a way to add "last 5 days" numbers for tracked factions? The chart is great, I like it and I see the values for inf when I hover the mouse, but very recent changes are harder to get. Could there be another sub tab (button) under factions next to "show/hide history" button that shows you the actual numbers for inf for say, the last 5 days for the systems where your tracked faction lives? I think that's the same data as the chart, but just the numbers/date.

Also, the system summary panel sometimes does not sort the stations by date visited. I use that setting in the options "visited", and sometimes it works correctly, and sometimes it doesn't. I can try to track a pattern, but is there some data I should look at? Like, which system or how long ago it was visited? What would help you narrow down the issue?

Separately, sometimes the system summary panel shows "date last visited: 12:00:00" when I enter the system. After the panel hides, if I show the panel again, it shows the correct date last visited. I have the panel set to show 2 sec after entering the system...is that not enough time for TCE to update/populate the panel? This is another one I can't pin down. It doesn't seem to relate to how many stations, or when visited last. I can't see the pattern.

Hi everyone,

the new release of EDMC (3.03) changed the output format for the hangar file without any notice from the dev, which results in an startup error of TCE, so please return to EDMC 3.02 until a fix arrive.
