I'm still getting the server down message on every connect, I have checked with EMDC running in the background. Its updating on there as it should be. It's the same issue that we had about EDMC 3.9 (I think it was), the 3.10 update on there fixed that. Again I say its not at your end Eventure me ol mate.

I rolled back to a old version of TCE it was working for a few docks then server down again. Going to see if I can get an older version of EDMC and check with older and up to date TCE's.
So I got from this the one that was all working right back in the past is not working now. IE EDMC issue.
Update TCE 1.7.2 through to now showing server down with version 3.12 EDMC. TCE 172 used to work fine. be back with more.
Tried combinations of TCE and varous older modes of EDMC. Still Server down on connect. Its totally not working no updates to the market at all. Did a fresh windows install. reinstalled TCE, ED and EDMC. nothing. I can however update the market data from the update screen on Extensions. So it does connect on there, Just not when docked. OK folks Server down on docks? Here you go. I got mine working. In true Elite spirit. No guarantees here, your risk but worked for me.
1. Get a program removal thing. Uninstalling EDMC is not enough. you need to get it out of your registry and your extra left over files.
2 Uninstall EDMC I used revo.
3.Reinstall EDMC ( don't forget to launch ED first before you try to reregister it)
Next bit might be optional but not deleting and reinstalling TCE didn't work for me and had to go back to step 2. But try it first.
4.Copy your TCE Folder.
5.Now delete your TCE folder
6.Reinstall TCE
7. Restore your database. (I lost mine which was a shame doing all the tryouts earlier. My bad deleted the wrong folder) be careful. Your risk
8. Off you go enjoy.

Looks like i can reproduce this as follows:
- enter game
- start tce, but do not open any tce menus at all
- jump to another system
- try to open factions tab
- it says 'please wait' for a sec but doesn't actually open (maybe in the background?)
- opening 'notes' panel (main ui) will bring faction panel upfront
After getting it to show for the first time it works flawlessly throughout the session.
Will test further to see if it's 100% like this.
TCE Cargo Reporting
Hi guys. Still learning and it's costing me a packet in fines. Using TCE, when i click on a deliver (whatever) job in missions, i click on the cargo icon which shows the amount of goods have been transferred. Off i go and reach the destination but i have nothing to transfer, the icon for completing the delivery is in red? I check the TCE cargo icon and it still shows my hold is full with the items (i assumed), were automatically transferred into the hold. So, is it a bug, or if not, what is the purpose of the cargo icon showing whats in the hold.
I hope i've explained it clear enough.

Hi. I had a youtube video running on my 2nd monitor showing the correct way to do the missions so i could only get it right.
This is the result.
In missions there was a request for 22 gold.
I select 'accept' and TCE reports my hold contains the 22 gold, the exact amount needed for the job (i assume is automatically loaded).
There is no input requestor pop up for me to load in the amount of gold i want/need.
Progress shows 0/22.
I go into my inventory and there is no gold.
That is as far as i ever get, TCE reports 22 gold has been loaded into the hold, inventory shows no gold, thus the Progress indicator shows 0/22.
Is Elite broken? is my Stean install broken? Is/has TCE corrupted something?
Is it still me being stupid? I know suffering 2 strokes some time ago does get me confused at times, but i really want to enjoy this game.

You have put that the mission is a "Request" for the gold, not a delivery mission which is different.
In a request type mission, you have to go and buy the gold from another station then deliver it, usually back to the station that requested the gold within the time limit to obtain your reward.
There would not be an indication that you have the required amount in your cargo hold unless you happen to have some there already.
Has your ship got cargo racks installed and how much space is there left for the cargo?
For a delivery mission then the goods are indeed put into your hold for you to deliver to another location within the time limit.

Yes, this isn't a TCE issue, this is a misunderstanding of a game mechanic. I have played this game for 4 years and when they changed the cargo required/transport method, I got a tad confused, so it's easily done.
Even after knowing the change was made, and how to run the missions, I still left a couple times without loading the cargo. I still love the change, because you can take all the sweet easy cargo xfer missions for inf while they are offered, even if you can't do them all at once.
And the fetch missions, I don't do those unless I know a place to get that amount, and that's where TCE is money. Pull up 'best buy', sort by distance, double check data age, and go get it!

Sorry for being a noob, the TCE screen won't show up in Elite, I've tried to do as suggested(Change screen to Borderless) but the options screen is stuck on "FULLSCREEN" in red letters?

Accept the delivery job i want, wait for the red information panel to pop up, click on the red information panel (that was the part i never did because i thought it was just part of the jobs information list), that will then open an input requestor for me to enter the amount of unit i want. Simples

Thanks for the responce I managed to sort it out. I simply had to chance the settings on the ED Graphics options from "Fullscreen to Borderless screen". All good now however is there a way for me to swap from ED screen to the EDDB screen as I have this running at the same time, and tend to have to "CTRL,ALT,Delete" to exit the game to then access the online open screen of the EDDB trade screen is there a short cut option built into the TCE options?

Don't know, what Elite HQ is, but why you assume it has something to do with TCE, any hint?
TCE only uses EDMC to get the market and player data from the ED cAPI and contacts my file server to check, if your installed version is up-to-date.
So your issue is definately on your side and has nothing to do with TCE.
@EDMC may trigger the authentification request. Please check EDMC first, if it could connect to the Frontier cAPI. Follow the setup procedure for EDMC here: https://github.com/Marginal/EDMarketConnector/wiki/Installation-&-Setup
