Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

It's already in, check at the Cargo panel the second column header 'Cargo [xx/xx]'.
Is that [current/max] or [current/remaining]? In my AspX it shows [0/4] and I hold no cargo, so I can't tell. Out exploring, so nowhere close to pick up some cargo.

Version [1.8.2.4] released
Changelog:
  • Added some tooltips to EDDB-Relay buttons at the Launcher.
  • Added the commodity and profit on an active route to the destination display as well, like it shows at the position display for the large display view at the icon-based UI.
  • Added the possibility to import .CSV files from the Neutron Highway Route Plotter at the Exploration tab of the Cartography panel.
  • Added a vast performance boost in loading new star systems into the flight plan when using the build-in function of the Neutron Highway Route Plotter at the Cartography panel.
  • Added an error information, if the query to the API of the Neutron Highway Route Plotter failed.
  • Fixed a display issue not centering the UI exactly, when outside the screen bounds and the Free Panel Placement option is inactive.
  • Fixed a display issue of commodity and expected profit when a selected trade route is active via the Route Finder panel at the Destination display.
  • Fixed an issue with the clipboard function sometimes repeatingly asking to deactivate the function cause of an internal error.
  • Fixed some issues with the Route Finder function of the Exploration tab at the Cartography panel.
  • Fixed a display issue with high waypoint numbers shown at the Exploration tab of the Cartography panel.

  • Fixed an issue with a misspelled faction state at the Language database.
Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who want's to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the

If you are outside your database bubble and your Trade Range selection is lower than the distance to the bubble, you don't have any data about your neighborhood,
so nothing is shown.
Create a new bubble instead, check the 'include visited star system' option before, update the new bubble and you will have plenty of data, you can work with.
if you won't create a new bubble over and over again, do create a large bubble, as I described here.

Ok so if i create that huge database, i dont have top update each day do i? i mean it will update prices everytime i visit a station?

Exactly, only stations, you currently visiting, will have always the newest commodity, outfitting and shipyard data,
but this data will decay from day to day, if you don't visit the stations again.

A daily update through EDDB-Relay will renew the data of all stations in your database at once, so the chance of a loss,
when shifting commodities from station to station is quite low.

At the Trade Overview panel you can see, when the last update of station data was done.

In the Database panel, I manually added a market ZHEN DOCK to an existing system XIHE. It is currently outside my trade range. After adding the system, I clicked on CONNECT, but no market data is imported into the database for it. I added a rare item to the shopping list and selected the system to plot a course, so the auto destination is XIHE, but the Trade panel is blank for the destination side. I recall seeing a video where it did. Is that because it was in the trade range?

Receiving an Unhandled Exception error when first creating a database on setup. States StarID cannot be null. I try to continue and it just freezes. Help?

The Connect button updates only the trade station, where you have docked currently.

Fixed with the update above.
Thanks for reporting the issue!

This is with the update above — 1.8.2.4. Do you recommend I remove it all and start over? I can do that as I haven’t built up anything yet. I just started to test this a couple of days ago. I haven’t collected any data personally.

Is it just a matter of removing the TCE directory and reinstalling the msi or are there additional steps?

Hmm im still trying to understand some parts of this application, for example, im at one station and i want to head to another station and when i check in the "trade overview" i see the station i am on but not the station i have locked, how can i get a station on the right side in the trade overview? it would be awsome if i could pick a station from a list of stations i have in database.

Another anoying thing is when im in "route finder" sometimes i cant add route becouse it says "locked - stop trade route first" even if im not on a trade route

not sure if im doing something wrong here, but it feels like i cant control the application enough.

Aswell how do i turn of this damn screenshot thing i get up everytime i scan an nav beacon or do discovery scanner?

I apologize if this is somewhere obvious. When I am docked at my carrier, will it see my export so I can search best sell locations?
If EDMC providing the market data, it will. But I don't owe a carrier, so I can confirm it.

If you lock a station as your destination in game, TCE can't know about it. There is no available data from ED to provide such automatic function. But you can select the station with the Navigation panel, Trade Station tab (or clicking the Destination display). Select there the station and hit the destination button. Thereafter TCE showing you the data, if you have already docked there or you have made a Trade Market database with the EDDB-Relay from the launcher and have updated the station right afterwards.

The Route Finder is locked, if you have started a route from this panel. You can see it by checking the center of the UI, there is a highlighted indicator,
showing 'DIRECTING' or 'ROUTE ACTIVE'. Directing means, you have to fly to the inital station, where the route begins,
where route active meaning, you are currently on the route.
Click the button at the Route Finder panel saying 'Locked...' again to cancel the route.

You can deactivate the popup (Panel Configuration tab) and adjust many other things at the Options panel.

I would be happy to get a bug report through TCE to recreate the issue!
Thanks in advance.

You can already have a bubble of 10.000 LY's radius with 1.000.000 LS distance on each star system, which gives about 67,5k trade markets in your database.
The key to not let your PC explode is the Trade Range limiter, which defines the bubble of star systems around you and it updates accordingly,
when moving through space to other star systems.

The only disadvantage is the time required of updating all markets from EDDB. Here is an overview:
  • Creating a market database (only a one time job): 6-7 mins, 11 MB registered market database size.
  • Updating trade stations with all options selected (trade, outfitting and shipyard data): 7-8 mins, 98 MB commodity prices database, 335 MB outfitting database.
  • Updating star systems: 1,5 mins, size is nearly the same as before (15 MB).

With a Trade Range about 1-3x your jump range you are good to go, but you have to spend nearly 10 mins. each day updating TCE before launching.
The trade range is settable only after the app is open not on the database setup panel in the launcher right?

I just installed the new version, replaced my databases with the default one, started TCE, set the trade range to 60LY, went back to the launcher, and generated a database of 1,000LY from REDDOT with a 5,000LS distance. This took a couple of minutes as expected but worked fine.

Unfortunately when I try to start TCE now, it gets to 25% of launching and stalls there for more than 10 minutes, (duno if it will ever finish using 8% CPU and 1.5 gigs of memory, the entire TCE folder uses 534 MB of hard drive space. I'm leaving it overnight now.) Help?

Please send me a bug report through the launcher, so I get your files and can recreate it.
Thanks in advance.
