Project Status:

Talk about knocking things out while I was on my little vacation… I should leave Cryptography in charge more often!

Everything is looking pretty good around TDW space and the expansion out of LTT 5455 is on schedule! We have a handful of conflicts that need either ammunition or voting stickers handed around as well as a few systems where mission running will do some good.

Looks like the makings of a nice weekend CMDRs! I’ll see you all on Sunday!

Items of note:

DOMOTWA - All looks good here, your efforts have stabilized things quite nicely! Great Job!

HAHGWE - Is also looking quite nice, no more work needed here. Great Job!

HR 4979 - Another nicely stabilized system! No more work required here. Great Job!

LHS 1857 - Let Earth Defense Fleet win per the “good neighbor policy”

LTT 5455 - Nearly done with the cleanup here, just a little more for GQ Virginis General Corporation, nothing for Wolf 562 Major Inc as they are in a good place

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership of that system. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. At present, the current status of TDW in so many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows and this difference becomes even greater, it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the TDW codex entry.

Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings.

As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks.

Please remember:
  • Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below.
  • Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own.
  • Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems.

Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:
TDW Missions for INF, Cartography Data and Trade Profits at TDW controlled stations, and Bounty Voucher turn ins are desired at:
LTT 5455 Expansion in process, expected ending date ~10 June.
Work a bit for GQ Virginis General Corporation to repair their influence.

Conflicts:
CHARONIUM - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS
LP 787-52 - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS (currently losing 0-2)
WOLF 433 - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS

ANYANWU - SUPPORT Alliance of LTT 5419 in ELECTIONS
LFT 926 - SUPPORT Collective of Independent Agents in ELECTIONS
LHS 306 - SUPPORT Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals in ELECTIONS
WOLF 629 - SUPPORT Sol Workers' Party in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397
  • ROSS 154 (more for LHS 397 than here please)

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions

BD-18 3106 - LHS 2335 Group [10.3] want ~15% which should trigger a conflict for the #2 spot
LHS 397 - The Dark Wheel [48.1] want ~55%, this should put Sol Workers’ Party at about the 20% mark for stability here
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation [12.3] want ~15% for a buffer and expansion cleanup
PHRA LAK - Usiren Free [12.5] want ~15%, do a few missions for TDW as well to keep the numbers good please
ROSS 154 - Barnard's Star Advanced Corp [11.4] just need a few missions here to get them into conflict for the #2 spot, which we want them to win
WOLF 629 - 36 Ophiuchi Future [4.6] want ~6% for stability, will not take many missions

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Profitable trades into, buying commodities from, and/or hand in Carto Data at:
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (ALL Pads), Note: the three large surface stations are also TDW owned, so they are fair game too
  • ROSS 154 - Birkeland City (ALL Pads), Note: just a little here, LHS 397 is better

Preferred #2 non-native factions for long term stability:
9 PUPPIS - Ralu Independents
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748
LHS 397 - Sol Workers' Party
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

General Remarks:
Where TDW is a guest, we want TDW to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with the other player factions, and never in conflict with the controlling faction. 15-20% INF is a good max, unless otherwise indicated
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • CHARONIUM - TDW is a guest here with LSR but with no diplomatic comms with Star Pilots
  • CHONTANTICI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • COELRIND - Hudson PP system, for now leave this alone, TDW only needs about 7% MAX here.
  • DOMOTWA - TDW is a guest of Sidewinder Syndicate
  • HAHGWE - TDW is a guest of Civitas Dei
  • JAUNERA - TDW is a guest of Delta Squadron
  • LAVE - TDW is a guest of Lave Radio Network
  • LHS 1857 - TDW is a guest of Flotta Stellare
  • LHS 417 - TDW is a guest of Blood Brothers from Alrai
  • LP 787-52 - TDW is a guest of Minutemen
  • SOKOJI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • WOLF 433 - TDW is a guest of LHS 2541 Alliance Combine (AEDC)
  • As a general rule, when factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (Blue N by their name in Inara when looking at the system) to LOSE. Where two non-native factions conflict, neither winner is “desired”, depending on INF level after the conflict, we would likely boost the LOSER to avoid retreat (happens at 2.5% or lower). Two native factions in conflict can be ignored and their INF in the system can be addressed after the conflict ends.
  • Another general rule, we want non-native factions above the native factions to avoid invasions. Take note that when factions are above 7% influence, and two of them match in %INF, and at least one of them has an asset, this will trigger a conflict. Where possible keep a few % between non-native factions to avoid a conflict as the loser will likely need to get boosted back up above the native factions for stability of the system.

Please continue to use EDMC or similar tools to keep local data up to date.

The clock is ticking down on that expansion out of LTT 5455, things around that area of space are a bit in flux, so we are definitely in “see where TDW goes” and I will work the diplomatic thing like I always do, more info to follow when the expansion completes. Everything else is looking pretty good! There are a handful of places where conflicts need resolving as well as missions need running, so get those shiny new ships and anything else you CMDRs bought with your Golconda hauling CG credits and have fun out there!

I’ll see you all on Thursday!

Items of note:

HAHGWE - TDW nearing the “too high” point, no more work here please

JAUNERA - TDW is at the “too high” point, no more work here please

Writing this up a day early due to some last minute IRL aggro

Project Status:

The expansion from LTT 5455 has taken The Dark Wheel into an open slot in ROSS 1015! The Terran Colonial Forces welcome TDW to be a guest in their system, and only a very small amount of work is needed here to keep things stable while those bad states there run their course.

This cycle brings us just a few conflicts and a bit of a buffet of places where faction work is the rule of the day. Looking over them as a whole, there isn’t anything eyebrow raising, just several places where some housekeeping is needed. Have fun out there taking your pick of things to do in TDW space CMDRs! I’ll see you all on Sunday!

Items of note:

CHARONIUM - If TDW gets into conflict with LSR, let them win per the “good neighbor” policy

CHONTANTICI - If TDW gets into conflict with FRC, let them win per the “good neighbor” policy

JAUNERA - TDW is at the “too high” point, no more work here please

LHS 417 - Looks like BBfA are looking to make an expansion happen, a little work for TDW here will prevent a conflict and force the inf to come from other factions, this will help stability there during their expansion climb

WOLF 433 - Expecting a conflict here soon, will want TDW to win that

Project Status:

FANTASTIC JOB with the orders last cycle CMDRs! You all really knocked them out of the park!

This cycle brings us the reverse of what we had over the weekend, many conflicts to choose from for your preferred methods of ammunition bill collecting as well as ballot box stuffing. Missions wise, we still have a good assortment of places to choose from, with only one “eyebrow raiser” that needs some love to prevent a retreat. ALl in all, a very nice set of things “to do” in TDW space this week. Have fun out there CMDRs! I’ll see you all on Thursday!

Items of note:

CHARONIUM - If TDW gets into conflict with LSR, let them win per the “good neighbor” policy

CHONTANTICI - Let FRC win per the “good neighbor” policy

JAUNERA - TDW is at the “too high” point, no work here please

ROSS 1015 - TDW is at the “too high” point, no work here please

WOLF 433 - Looks like AEDC is making an expansion happen from here, after that lights off, we will want to buff TDW INF here just a little bit to stay above the pack

WOLF 629 - Labour of 70 Ophiuchi is at risk of retreat, need to send some love their way as we do not want them to leave the system

Greetings! Yes! I still find the updates here on the forum useful to guide my ED activities. I have been away for some time, unfortunately, due to RL. I have missed it greatly and look forward to getting back and dispensing the rustiness. I'm not there just yet, but predict I'll be very soon. In doing some catch-up reading here, it was good to see Crypto's SOs again for a little bit.

I always knew these SOs take a lot of effort and time. I have been ever-grateful to see them here.

Happy travels, as always, CMDRs!

Looks like I'll be doing Standing Orders again semi-regularly due to a change in Wolfdragon's RL activities. We will likely be sharing the duties.

Current tick time is closer to suiting me too.

TDW continues to have well managed systems with relatively few conflicts or major events to handle. Random chance does mean there is still plenty to keep you occupied however!

Items of note:

ANYANWU - Support LHS Dems and Alliance of LTT in their conflicts. Boost Aegilips Co a bit

CHARONIUM - TDW at war with LSR, let them win per the “good neighbor” policy

COELRIND - TDW to LOSE the war. Powerplay related issue.

JAUNERA - TDW is at the “too high” point, no work here please

LHS 397 - TDW has an Infrastructure Failure. Relevant trades and on-foot missions please.

ROSS 1015 - TDW to win election. Dukes to win war. Dont do too much for either conflict.

WOLF 433 - Bit messy here. TDW to win the war.

None this cycle. Unchanged. We are close to expansion in Hrimfaxi but the potential target would be LTT 3007, less than ideal.

Conflicts:
LHS 417 - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in ELECTIONS
LP 787-52 - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS
9 PUPPIS - SUPPORT Ralu Independents in ELECTIONS
ANYANWU - SUPPORT LHS 346 Democrats in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS
ANYANWU - SUPPORT Alliance of LTT 5419 in ELECTIONS
BD-18 3106 - SUPPORT LHS 2335 Group in ELECTIONS
LHS 306 - SUPPORT Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals in WAR with CZ’s and WAR MISSIONS

  • LHS 397
  • LTT 5455

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions

86 MU HERCULIS - Colanja Gold Power Services [9.8] want ~17% to avoid conflict and keep things nice and stable here
HR 4979 - Nuenets Corp [5.9] want ~6-6.5% to prevent any invasions, only a few missions needed to handle this
LAVE - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel [13.0] want closer to 15% for a nice standing here

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (ALL Pads)
  • LTT 5455 - Tull Enterprise or Anthony de la Roche Barracks

  • ROSS 1015 - TDW is a guest of Terran Colonial Forces

Keep Turning The Wheel, Hamsters!

LTT 5455 - TDW getting a bit too low on the controlling INF buffer. Missions/Trade/Carto here please

WOLF 433 - Bit messy here. TDW to win the war

Orders 26 - 30 JUN 3308

Project Status:

Nice job knocking out the big ones over the weekend CMDRs! This week brings us a number of conflicts to resolve, some shorter fuses than others so go have a look and take your pick! We also have just a few systems where the factions need some love, all look to be fairly light work, so grab your favorite ship or why not one from the hangar that hasn’t gotten much stick time recently and have some fun out there in TDW space CMDRs!

Cryptography will be back on Thursday for the next update

Items of note:

CHONTANTICI - The Dark Wheel is in outbreak here, very light work just to hold position while that passes

COELRIND - The Dark Wheel is in Elections here, do note that the eventual plan is to let Dukes of Coelrind take this system back for the associate powerplay bubble

HRIMFAXI - Kaupolock PLC is just barely above the two in conflict, boosting them to ~15% would help prevent a follow on conflict

YUQUI - The Dark Wheel has an infrastructure failure here, only a few missions

Well done commanders. Most things nicely handled in TDW space. We have the usual run of secondary conflicts to address and a number of systems where TDW could use some support.
Plenty of opportunities to break out an older ship you haven't used lately - may I suggest a DBS for bounty hunting?

Items of note:

COELRIND - The Dark Wheel is in Elections here, and losing. Do note that the eventual plan is to let Dukes of Coelrind take this system back for the associate powerplay bubble

HRIMFAXI - Kaupolock PLC needs bit more love, boosting them to ~15% would help prevent a follow on conflict

YUQUI - TDW lost some influence due to an Infrastructure Failure, so repair work is needed.

  • ROSS 154 (Infrastructure Failure repair)
  • LHS 397
  • Wolf 629

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions

86 Mu Herculis Missions for Colanja Gold Power Services then win any war they get into.
HR 4979 Missions for Alliance of CD-33 8748
Hrimfaxi Missions for Kaupolock PLC
LHS 397 Missions for TDW
Ross 154 Missions for TDW
Wolf 629 Missions for TDW
Yuqui Missions for TDW

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
LHS 397
Wolf 629
Yuqui

  • COELRIND - Hudson PP system, Dukes of Coelrind need to control here, TDW only needs ~ 7% MAX
  • DOMOTWA - TDW is a guest of Sidewinder Syndicate
  • HAHGWE - TDW is a guest of Civitas Dei
  • JAUNERA - TDW is a guest of Delta Squadron and is preferred for the #2 slot
  • LAVE - TDW is a guest of Lave Radio Network
  • LHS 1857 - TDW is a guest of Flotta Stellare
  • LHS 417 - TDW is a guest of Blood Brothers from Alrai
  • LP 787-52 - TDW is a guest of Minutemen
  • ROSS 1015 - TDW is a guest of Terran Colonial Forces

Nice job knocking out the last round of the “to do” list CMDRs! This round brings us a number of conflicts, mostly Elections, but a few Wars to go get your hands dirty in. There is also a bit of housekeeping work out there, some for TDW directly, but mostly for our non-native faction neighbors. We of course have all the game loops to choose from to help out in TDW space, so scroll on down and take your pick.
Crypto’s suggestion about a DBS for bounty hunting reminded me of a fun ship I like to grab for quick mission running. The venerable Python is certainly “the king of BGS”... but have you ever put the enhanced thrusters on an Imperial Courier? (zoom-zoom)

Items of note:

CHONTANTICI - Let FRC win the war per the good neighbor policy, #3 here is just fine for TDW

COELRIND - No work here for now, Dukes of Coelrind are getting moved up to restore the powerplay bubble here, will adjust the rack and stack for TDW’s position after things settle down a bit here

ROSS 154 - If Barnard's Star Advanced Corp finds themselves in a conflict, we will want to support them so they win it

Well done Commanders! TDW space is looking rather stable for the most part.
We do have a bunch of Housekeeping conflicts to knock over, including some in systems where we are a guest and a loss would put us in danger of retreat.
Plenty of places to do work directly for TDW also. I’ll be along again on Sunday while WolfDragon enjoys a day off!

Items of note:

BD-18 3106 - TDW is a bit high here. Do a few missions for any of the lower factions to drop our influence.

COELRIND - Still being worked on for Powerplay. We will fix TDW after that is done with.

ROSS 154 - Barnard's Star Advanced Corp need to win their election.

LHS 306, LHS 397 and Yuqui - TDW a bit low, so Missions, Trade, Carto and Bounties for TDW

Great work Commanders. Nearly all the conflicts listed last time have concluded favorably. Only a handful of conflicts to deal with this time.
There is plenty of opportunity for general trade/carto/missions and bounty hunting however.
Why not try a silly build like my Vogon Destructor - a Type7 with beams and railguns and masses of hull reinforcements. Flies in space just the way that bricks don’t.

  • ROSS 1015 - TDW is a guest of Terran Colonial Forces

Orders 17-21 JUL 3308

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Coming out of the weekend there’s really just some minor cleanup here and there around TDW space because you all did an excellent job over the weekend! As always we have all the game loops to choose from so take your pick of the TDW buffet!

Items of note:

CHONTANTICI - Let FRC win per the “good neighbor” policy

LHS 306 - TDW had taken quite a steep dive recently. Its a medium population system so needs a fair amount of work to bring us up to 50+

WOLF 629 - TDW has also had a dip here, though this is a small population system, so fixing that shouldn’t be terrifically difficult

LP 787-52 - Now that Minutemen have gotten their expansion started, need to get TDW back to the 15-20% mark here

ROSS 154 - BSAC winning their war here would help them get a break and restore stability to this system

We are refining options for a few places TDW would be able to stretch their legs a bit, in the meantime, send some love to LHS 306 and WOLF 629. More information “soon”

Conflicts:
LHS 417 - Support The Dark Wheel in ELECTIONS
WOLF 433 - Support The Dark Wheel in ELECTIONS

BD-18 3106 - Support LHS 2335 Group in WAR
HRIMFAXI - Support Kaupolock PLC in ELECTIONS
LFT 926 - Support Collective of Independent Agents in ELECTIONS
LTT 5455 - Support GQ Virginis General Corporation in ELECTIONS
ROSS 154 - Support Barnard's Star Advanced Corp in WAR
WOLF 629 - Support Labour of 70 Ophiuchi in WAR

Coelrind Secondary War - Support Dukes of Coelrind, TDW guest here

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • LHS 306
  • WOLF 629

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
  • LHS 306 - The Dark Wheel [40.0%] - Need some love here to put TDW back over 50%
  • WOLF 629 - The Dark Wheel [40.1%] - Need some love here to put TDW back over 50%
  • LP 787-52 - The Dark Wheel [5.7%] - Missions for INF, want ~15-20% here.

Project Status:

Happy Sunday CMDRs! Cryptography may have been “overcome by events” with his internet connection not letting him get a full update out this past Thursday, but that certainly didn’t put a damper on all of you! Excellent job knocking those items out as well as picking up a number of things that “didn’t make the list”

This week brings us some of the expected housekeeping both in conflicts and in regular mission work, all of which looks to be rather easy going! Additional Item of note, we have been working on a planned expansion, a little more information is below

Items of note:

COELRIND - TDW is a guest here, let Alchemy Den win per the “good neighbor” policy. Additionally, the Dukes of Coelrind winning their conflict being in charge is helpful to the local powerplay

LHS 417 - Things are getting a little tight here, worth keeping an eye on just in case TDW gets into a conflict here and winning against the non-PMFs

ROSS 154 - BSAC winning their war here would help them catch a nice break and restore stability to this system

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. Orders 28-31 JUL 3308

Project Status:

Greetings Commanders! I’m glad to report a much more stable internet and thus a much better mood! I’ve had a bit longer to scan things and follow up on the last orders so hopefully the quality improves a bit this time!

As usual we have a selection of conflicts as well as general housekeeping. TDW is a little lower in some systems than I’d prefer, so please hit them up with a bit of general mission running or trade, carto, bounties.

Items of note:
ANYANWU - War - Support LHS 346 Democrats, Retreat Risk - boost Alliance of LTT 5419

86 Mu Herculis - Retreat risk, work for Colanja Gold Power Services

COELRIND - TDW is a guest here. Dukes of Coelrind won their conflict to take system control which helps local powerplay. TDW has a war against a native faction to win.

LHS 417 - As predicted, TDW is in an Election. Lets win it!

ROSS 154 - BSAC winning their war here would help them catch a nice break and restore stability to this system. Again. Maybe this time!
