Orders 18 - 22 SEP 3308

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Nothing like a bit of a getaway with your significant other to recharge the batteries and make for fresh eyes on the BGS data! TDW space looks pretty darn good overall! The conflicts are of course still rolling, but that just makes for easy places to know where to go and what to do. The 9 Puppis thing looks to have fizzled a bit (mainly from the conflict there tying up quite a bit of INF) but no worries, that was going to be a freebie. We do have a couple of systems that could use a little hand holding for a faction or two, but the one my eyes got drawn to was Santy. It’s TDW’s newest system, we are in the climb for quite the commanding lead there (will probably want to use this system for a planned expansion later) but we do need to make sure our non-native factions there stay in the clear from retreats/invasions.

Items of note:

9 Puppis - Need Ralu Independents to win to restore them to #2, will need put some inf into Hlocidirus Resistance after the fact for stability

Chontantici - No need to oppose FRC in this conflict, we will let AEDC sort this one as they see fit between TWD or FRC being in the #2 spot

LHS 417 - Let BBfA sort this one out, but IIRC they do want TDW over Lemat Partnership. If TDW loses we can buff our INF here after the fact

LP 787-52 - Support TDW in the war here, Minutemen want TDW in the #2 spot

Wolf 629 - 36 Ophiuchi Future needs a hand to prevent their retreat, keeping them above 7% would be ideal for now

Lave - TDW and Lave Radio Network are on the upturn here, keep up the great work, this system is slow to push due to the high population. Missions and bounties etc for both here please

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to continue to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership of that system. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. At present, the current status of TDW in so many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows and this difference becomes even greater, it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the TDW codex entry.

Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings.

As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks.

Please remember:
  • Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below.
  • Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own.
  • Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems.

Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:
TDW Missions for INF, Cartography Data and Trade Profits at TDW controlled stations, and Bounty Voucher turn ins are desired at:
Focus on getting a nice high INF in Santy this cycle, LHS 397 is looking pretty good and stable now

Conflicts:
86 Mu Herculis - War - Support Coljanja Gold Power Services 2-0
9 Puppis - Elections - Support Ralu Independents 0-1
Anyanwu - War - Support Alliance of LTT 5419 (Pending)
BD-18 3106 - War - Support LHS 2335 Group 0-0
HR 4979 War - Support Nuenets Corp. 2-1
LFT 926 Elections - Support CIA 2-2
LHS 306 - War - Support Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals (Pending)
LP 787-52 War - Support TDW 1-0
Ross 1015 - War - Support TDW 2-1

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers (combat bonds count too) earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397
  • Santy
  • Lave

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
Lave - boost both LRN and TDW
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis General Corporation 12.7% - a few missions here should get a conflict started, want them to win for the #2 spot
Wolf 629 - 36 Ophiuchi Future 5.5% and active Retreat state - need a handful of missions here to boost their INF to keep them in the system
Santy - In addition to pushing INF for TDW here to establish a strong hold over our new system, Green Party of Sameni, LTT 7509 Ltd, and Independents of Isleta could use just a couple of missions so we can keep them above the %5 mark (mostly just an FYI for today’s data)

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (All Pads)
  • Santy - Noakes City (SML/MED Pads)
(Any TDW station in systems where our influence is between 40 and 50%)

Preferred #2 non-native factions for long term stability:
9 PUPPIS - Ralu Independents
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748
LHS 397 - Sol Workers' Party
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis at #2, Minutemen #3
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

General Remarks:
Where TDW is a guest, we want to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with other player factions, and never in conflict with the controlling faction. 15-20% INF is a good max, unless otherwise indicated
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • CHARONIUM - TDW is a guest here with LSR but with no diplomatic comms with Star Pilots
  • CHONTANTICI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • COELRIND - Hudson PP system, Dukes of Coelrind to control here
  • DOMOTWA - TDW is a guest of Sidewinder Syndicate
  • HAHGWE - TDW is a guest of Civitas Dei
  • JAUNERA - TDW is a guest of Delta Squadron and is preferred for the #2 slot
  • LAVE - TDW is a guest of Lave Radio Network
  • LHS 1857 - TDW is a guest of Flotta Stellare
  • LHS 417 - TDW is a guest of Blood Brothers from Alrai
  • LP 787-52 - TDW is a guest of Minutemen and is preferred for the #2 slot
  • ROSS 1015 - TDW is a guest of Terran Colonial Forces
  • SOKOJI - TDW is a guest of Wolf 406 Transport & Co (AEDC)
  • WOLF 433 - TDW is a guest of LHS 2541 Alliance Combine (AEDC)
  • As a general rule, when factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (N by their name in Inara) to LOSE. Where two non-native factions conflict, neither winner is “desired”
  • Another general rule, we want non-native factions above the native factions to avoid invasions. Take note that when factions are above 7% influence, and two of them match in %INF, and at least one of them has an asset, this will trigger a conflict. Where possible keep a few % between non-native factions to avoid a conflict as the loser will likely need to get boosted back up above the native factions for stability of the system.

Please continue to use EDMC or similar tools to keep local data up to date.

Looks like an interesting situation has developed in the Santy System.
If we work to build TDW's INF, It seems like we can really hammer the Workers of Santy Independents faction because the INF of the other 4 factions are currently locked due to their conflicts. This means that the INF to build TDW can really only come from WSI.
We might be able to drop WSI below the other four, where we want it to be as a native faction while also supporting Independents of Isleta as a non-native to win their war.

Orders 22 - 25 SEP 3308

Project Status:

Greetings Commanders. Much of TDW space is quiet at the moment. We do still have quite a few conflicts to resolve but most of these should require minimal effort to be resolved in the right direction. We can take this opportunity to build TDW in a few systems and perhaps trigger our next expansion. My daughter Miss Crypto again contributed heavily to the preparation of these orders. I’ll see if she maintains an interest longer term!

Items of note:

9 Puppis - Need Ralu Independents to win to restore them to #2, will need to put some inf into Hlocidirus Resistance after the fact for stability. Ralu are losing 0-1

Chontantici - TDW now in conflict with a native faction. Win this one for TDW with minimal effort.

LHS 417 - Let BBfA sort this one out, but IIRC they do want TDW over Lemat Partnership. If TDW loses we can buff our INF here after the fact (war 2-2 nearing completion)

LP 787-52 - Support TDW in the war here, Minutemen want TDW in the #2 spot (War 2-2)

Wolf 629 - 36 Ophiuchi Future still in retreat but at a healthy influence %. Watch that they dont drop too much while the state lasts.

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here.

Santy - Continue to boost TDW here, as well as winning the wars listed in conflicts below.

Project Status:

Happy Weekend Commanders! Much of TDW space remains nice and quiet. We do have quite a number of conflicts to resolve but most are going “the right way” already so no herculean effort looks to be required overall. I added a few “get ahead” items to the usual buffet of mission running, mainly to keep our lives easier in the next couple of orders cycles. Scroll on down and see what all TDW has on offer for your play sessions CMDRs!

Items of note:

9 Puppis - Need Ralu Independents get some INF and then win the conflict that will start to restore them to #2, Hlocidirus Resistance needs a little love for stability purposes

Chontantici - TDW now in conflict with a native faction. Win this one for TDW.

Domotwa - Let Sidewinder Syndicate sort this one, we have no need to oppose AEDC’s Wolf 406 Transport & Co here

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here, things seems to be getting back to nice and stable

LHS 417 - TDW lost the conflict and the dip hit hard enough to trigger a retreat, but since this is a rather small system, that should be very easy to fix by INF boosting

LP 787-52 - Support TDW in the war here to force a gap between TDW and Star Pilots, these guys seem to really like causing trouble here…

Santy - Continue to boost TDW here, as well as winning the wars listed in conflicts below

  • 9 Puppis - Hlocidirus Resistance 2.4% - Normal dip from the loss to Ralu Independents, a mission or two just to keep them around the 5-6% mark for now
  • BD-18 3106 - LHS 2335 Group 12.7% - A couple of missions here to get into another conflict, winning would put them back in the #2 spot
  • Coelrind - TDW 12.0% - A few missions here as a “get ahead” item only, target 15-16% to stay in the #2 after the other conflict here resolves
  • LHS 417 - TDW 1.0% - Normal drop after the conflict loss, a few mission for inf to boost, no conflict risk for now so target about 10% and all will be good again
  • LP 787-52 - TDW 16.9% - A few missions here as a “get ahead” item only, target 20% to force a gap between TDW and Star Pilots

Orders 29 SEP - 2 OCT 3308

Project Status:

Greetings Commanders. There seem to be an unusually high amount of conflicts in TDW space that need a bit of attention. There are also a couple of retreats to keep watch on as well as Infrastructure Failure in Chontantici to worry about. Plenty to keep us busy.
This Thursday orders were again ably assisted by Miss Crypto who continues to show a keen interest and insight into this part of our space game!

Items of note:

We are being challenged for control in Phra Lak. That shall not stand. Win the Election in Phra Lak for The Dark Wheel!

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here, things seems to be getting back to nice and stable

There are wars and elections in LHS 397 and Wolf 629 that can safely be ignored for now.

TDW is flagged for retreat still in LHS 417 but should be safe now. Almost the last day.

Chontantici TDW Infrastructure Failure needs a bit of mission running support.

Santy - LTT 7509 Ltd is in active retreat.

Project Status:

Greetings Commanders! I hope all of you had a nice weekend! It looks like TDW’s expansion from Hrimfaxi is giving us a first class ticket into LTT 3007. I will do the diplomatic thing and see if that's open for TDW to take over on arrival, but that can wait for now. On more “today” events, clearly you all have been doing some excellent work cleaning up this buffet of conflicts within TDW space, let’s rally the ballot box stuffing machines and get Phra Lak squared away so that TDW remains in control and adds another station to our list of friendly ports. The retreats and infrastructure failures are largely handled, but it’s worth keeping an eye on just in case. Stay dangerous CMDRs, hope to see you all out there in TDW space!

Items of note:

We are being challenged for control in Phra Lak, the score is currently 2-2. That shall not stand. Win the Election in Phra Lak for The Dark Wheel!

Chontantici TDW Infrastructure Failure needs a bit of mission running support

Domotwa - Ignore the conflict here, no need to oppose AEDC

Hrimfaxi - No more work for TDW here, instead boost Kaupolock PLC a bit

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here, things seems to be getting back to nice and stable

Santy - LTT 7509 Ltd is in active retreat

Turn in TDW bounty vouchers (combat bonds count too) earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397
  • Santy
  • Lave

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
Anyanwu - Alliance of LTT 5419 4.4% - A few missions here to get them to ~6% would be good
Chontantici - TDW has Infrastructure Failure a few missions will aid in clearing that
Hrimfaxi - Kaupolock PLC 10.1% - A few missions for them to get to ~15% would make for good stability
LHS 397 - Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan 5.1% - A couple of missions for ~6%
Santy - LTT 7509 Ltd is in retreat. Needs missions run for them, should be over soon
Lave - work for both Lave Radio Network and TDW (ongoing)

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (All Pads)
  • Santy - Noakes City (SML/MED Pads)

Santy - Independents of Isleta and Green Party of Sameni at 2,3
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

General Remarks:
Where TDW is a guest, we want to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with other player factions, and never in conflict with the controlling faction. 15-20% INF is a good max, unless otherwise indicated
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here

Greetings Commanders. Phra Lak did not go as planned. We lost 3-4 despite fairly significant manipulation of ballot boxes. We might have to entice the officials better next time round! Our expansion from Hrimfaxi continues and the very much most likely target remains the tiny backwoods speck LTT 3007. Not a great system by most measures, but another place for TDW to spread to and possibly control. There are the usual selection of conflicts to meddle with and places where missions trade and Carto are useful. Miss Crypto helped prepare some of these notes but had to go to bed as its a school night. Interstellar empire domination will have to wait!

Items of note:

Phra Lak was lost! Build TDW by any measures to take it back!

There are a number of conflicts in systems not listed below. Ignore them.

Hrimfaxi - No more work for TDW here, instead boost Kaupolock PLC a bit

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here, influence has slipped again.

Santy and LHS 397 - keep TDW around 60-65% for future expansions.

Welcome back from the weekend CMDRs!. Phra Lak is once again in conflict, let’s work that election to take the system back and put Charlotte back into her proper office!. Our expansion from Hrimfaxi continues and is still aimed right at the tiny speck of LTT 3007. We still have a number of conflicts in TDW space, but it appears that things are calming down. Don’t forget the usual selection of places where missions, trade, and Carto are useful. Let’s knock these out and see if we can setup Miss Crypto for some devious planning on Thursday :)

Items of note:

There are a number of conflicts in systems not listed below. Ignore them.

Phra Lak - TDW is back in an Election for control of the system. Stuff those ballot boxes and take back the system!

Hrimfaxi - No more work for TDW here, instead boost Kaupolock PLC a bit

Santy - Got a couple of conflicts here, after they resolve we can push TDW for a possible expansion

Wolf 433 Elections - Support TDW 2-2, this one’s getting to be a close one

Yuqui - TDW and TEAC are getting too close again, missions for TDW to force that gap back in there

Lave - Continue to support both LRN and TDW here, influence has slipped again.

Project Status:

Thursday is upon us again Commanders. “Devious” Miss Crypto and I have taken a beady-eyed look at the numbers to come up with something resembling a plan for the next few days. We have regained control of Phra Lak with a massive 4-0 victory in the polls. Our expansion from Hrimfaxi unexpectedly dropped us into Nu-2 Canis Major due to a retreat opening a spot there. This system is already occupied by player factions so unfortunately we cannot take control. Work done here has already more or less got us settled comfortably. We are near the expansion threshold in LHS 306 which opens up a few more possibilities that are worth pursuing.

Items of note:

Conflicts - There are some conflicts that would be best won by only a 1-day margin so that the ending influence jump is not too large. These are marked below.

Phra Lak - We are back in control! Excellent work Commanders!

Turdetani - Arque Commodities is in retreat. Boost them for several days to counter.

Yuqui - TDW and TEAC still a bit close - continue to boost TDW.

Wolf 629 - TDW has Infrastructure Failure so needs a boost to counter.

Lave - Things looking a bit better here, but continue to boost both TDW and LRN.

While working to support TDW in the LHS 417 System, it looks like we could also help Caucan Group win their war against the native faction unless BBfA is active in the system.
...although it's mighty late; they are down 0-3.

Update: now 1-3. Somebody saw / heard! :)

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! I hope everyone had fun over the weekend! Looking at the BGS data for today, all of you certainly did a number on the “to do” list from Thursday, fantastic job! Several conflicts have resolved favorably, though a few linger that really only need to be won by one point, so some quick smash and grabs would certainly do the business. Of course as conflicts lessen, the places where INF work via mission running, carto data sales, and trade open up, and there are a number of choices on the buffet this week. Of note, there are a few systems where a non native faction has fallen into retreat state, the more proactive among you seem to have jumped on most of those, which is always SUPER good to have happened. Keep them around the 8.0% mark for a nice wide margin over the retreat mechanic threshold and all will be good. Speaking of thresholds, LHS 306 is close to letting TDW expand, which would open up a few possibilities that are worth pursuing. Let’s knock these things out and see what deviousness Miss Crypto tells her dad about on Thursday.

Items of note:

Conflicts - There are some conflicts that would be best won by only a 1-day margin so that the ending influence jump is not too large. These are marked below.

LP 787-52 - Star Pilots popped up again, as before Minutemen want TDW in #2, so let’s win that one!

Yuqui - TDW and TEAC still a bit close - continue to boost TDW.

Keep building TDW in Santy and maintain us around 65% in LHS 397. Both are possible strategic expansion points.
Knock out the last little bit in LHS 306 to take advantage of our high influence.

Conflicts:
9 Puppis War - Support Hlocidirus Resistance 0-1
Anyanwu War - Support LHS 346 Democrats 0-0
Charonium War - Support TDW 0-0 *win by 1 day
Coelrind Elections - Support TDW 0-0 *win by 1 day
LFT 926 Elections - Support CIA 2-0
LHS 417 Election - Support TDW 3-1
LP 787-52 War - Support TDW 0-0
LTT 5455 War - Support Minutemen 0-2
Ross 154 Elections - Support BSAC 3-3

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go).
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
  • LHS 397, Santy , LHS 306
  • Lave

General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction, when moving these factions up above the native factions, if a conflict starts, we typically want these non-native factions to WIN those conflicts against native factions
Anyanwu - Alliance of LTT 5419 1.4% - RETREAT, missions to boost INF, target 8.0%
BD-18 3106 - LHS 2335 Group 6.7% - a few INF missions here, eventually want in #2 spot
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748 6.4% - conflict loss, a few missions for INF will patch them up, more will help put them back in the #2 spot where we want them
Hrimfaxi - Kaupolock PLC 10.7% - a couple of missions will put them slightly higher for stability
Phra Lak - The Dark Wheel 40.7% - a couple of missions to get TDW to 50% would be good for stability
Santy - Green Party of Sameni 9.0% - RETREAT, currently ok, a couple of missions if they dip below 8%
Turdetani - Arque Commodities 10.7% - RETREAT, currently ok, a couple of missions if they dip below 8%
Yuqui - Boost TDW, target 50%

Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
  • Phra Lak - Schiltberger Station (All Pads)
  • LHS 397 - Zillig Depot (All Pads)
(Any TDW station in systems where our influence is between 40 and 50%)

Preferred #2 non-native factions for long term stability:
9 PUPPIS - Ralu Independents
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748
LHS 397 - Sol Workers' Party
LTT 5455 - GQ Virginis at #2, Minutemen #3
Santy - Independents of Isleta and Green Party of Sameni at 2,3
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

General Remarks:
Where TDW is a guest, we want to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with other player factions, and never in conflict with the controlling faction. 15-20% INF is a good max, unless otherwise indicated
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • CHARONIUM - TDW is a guest here with LSR but with no diplomatic comms with Star Pilots

Ok, I have thought about it. Until I see LP 787-52 mentioned on the Security Report found on Inara: nice piece of prose, neighbors!

o7, CMDRs! 3-1 TDW. Without a doubt, very soon to be 4-1.

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Well done - most of the nasty little surprises that cropped up have been handled without too much trouble. We've got a few Retreats and Infrastructure Failure states to keep an eye on, and support the affected faction if needed. All are in decent shape right now but still need watching. We have the usual selection of conflicts to sort out and a number of places where TDW can use some work. As I write this there are ongoing diplomatic discussions with Star Pilots on our discord. We will choose to ignore some of the smack talk going on in posts immediately preceding this on the forum thread, at least until more diplomatic discussions conclude. Miss Crypto was not amused, but was more annoyed at having to do her homework. It would be wise not to further draw her attention.

Items of note:

Conflicts - A bunch of these are listed below. Some need gentle massaging, so win those by a single day if possible.

LP 787-52 - Star Pilots popped up again, as before Minutemen want TDW in #2, so let’s win that one! One last day should complete this round.

Lave - TDW is pretty healthy at about 14%, but LRN continues its slow decline. Low factions are still being used to leech influence away. Work for LRN and a bit for TDW here. Lave system is one of the exceptions where we will work to assist the owning faction more than usual.

Retreats and Infrastructure Failures -
Anyanwu Retreat - Watch Alliance of LTT 5419
Ross 1015 Infrastructure Failure - Support TDW
Ross 154 Infrastructure Failure - Support BSAC
Santy Retreat - Watch Green Party of Sameni
Wolf 629 Infrastructure Failure - Support Sol Worker's Party

TDW can use a general boost in Yuqui, Santy, 86 Mu Herculis, Turdetani, Phra Lak, Wolf 629

Keep in mind also: the pecking order in LP 787-52 is not determined by TDW. We are happy guests. We do not control the system and don't intend to do so. If Star Pilots intends to control this system or impose a faction-order, they shall have more to contend with than TDW. I have friends who are members of the controlling faction here. They are capable. They are good neighbors. I have assisted them in the past and I am willing to do so again. This is why we are friends and neighbors. It is a good thing. Share with us as neighbors and friends.
