Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Looks like we have a control conflict for LHS 346. A quick look at things suggests that we are in the clear to take control of this system, so let’s win this election and add it to the list of systems that are controlled by The Dark Wheel! Looking around TDW space most of the things on the to do list are housekeeping, both for conflicts and system management, all of which will result in things staying nice and stable. Should be quite a nice week of keeping things easily in check while we get the Python MK2 buyable for credits and the Type 8 is released for early/paid access. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
  • Domotwa - No work here for TDW, we are well above the lowers and do not want to throw any wrenches into the works for the expansions SS are doing out of this system
  • Hrimfaxi - TDW 38.2% - A few missions for ~55%, TDW is a bit low for a controlling system
  • Kushen - Ignore the war and keep TDW at ~55% for stability (65 is a bit too high!)
  • LHS 306 - Expecting conflict, Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals to win
  • Lopu Maris - Expecting conflict, TDW to win by 1
  • Ross 1015 - Expecting conflict, TDW to win by 1, can boost TDW to avoid conflict, 20% is ideal

- Lave - 8.2% Quite a bit down from last update, 15% is ideal

TDW TLC systems:
Sokoji (10%), Amenni (10%), LHS 2429 (30%), Charonium (45%), Hrimfaxi (50%), Phra Lak (50%), 86 Mu Herculis (50%)

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. TDW being present in many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the codex entry

Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings

As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks

Please remember:
  • Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below
  • Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own
  • Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems

Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:

Quick orders 9-Aug:

I'm feeling rather unwell today, hopefully a full set of orders tomorrow.

The highlights:

LAVE - TDW has a famine state and has dropped steeply to 7.4%. This will require significant work to repair back to ~15%

TDW conflicts in:
LHS 346, Ross 1015, Santy, LHS 3531, Arque, Luyten 205-128, LHS 2429, and LP 816-60. Stuff ballot boxes and fight Conflict Zones as required.

TDW needs TLC in these systems, amongst others:
Hrimfaxi
86 Mu Herculis
Phra Lak.

I'm off to dose myself with Basic Meds and crawl into bed.

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! A few pills and a good night’s sleep has me comfortably back in the pilot’s chair. We do have quite a lot of conflicts to sort out but most at least are going the right way. Lave will be a pain but needs some work to repair after we caught some bad luck. See below for specifics.

Items of note:
  • Domotwa - As noted last time, do not work for TDW here while SS are working the system.
  • LHS 346 - We took control last tick but are very low. Boost TDW and also win the war for Union of ER 8 Alliance
  • Ross 154 - Elections. This one is a bit strange. Normally we want BSAC to win, but they are down 0-3. Rather than waste time there, help Ross 154 Vision Partners to win, then work for BSAC after the conflict concludes. Vision partners have an infrastructure failure state so will likely drop even after winning.

HR 4979 - Alliance of CD 33 8748 needs boosting.
- Lave - 8.9% Slightly up after we caught a bad state. Push for 15%

TDW TLC systems:
Lave, LHS 336, Hrimfaxi, Anyanwu, Phra Lak, and 86 Mu Herculis

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! This week is mostly a carry over from what our healthy again buddy in BGS Cryptography identified over the weekend. The conflicts are largely going the way we want them and the housekeeping list got a bit smaller, all of which is due to your efforts keeping TDW space nice and tidy! I shook the crystal ball a bit and got a few look ahead items and put them just below. Should make for a nice week in TDW space while we all wait for the next Titan to get properly set up for a big boom. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Looks like TDW has caught an expansion out of BD-18 3106, giving the crystal ball a shake, it looks like we are headed to Thraskias to be a guest of our friends in AEDC. Looking around TDW space we have a few conflicts that have caught some points in the wrong direction, address those accordingly please. There are a few places where housekeeping work needs done, specifically the retreat in LHS 336 as well as a few places where TDW needs a bit of INF to keep things nice and stable. I hope everyone got their hits in for those new material rewards from making Titan Thor go boom earlier today. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
  • BD-18 3106 - LHS 2335 Group needs a boost to prevent conflict, 10-12% is a good target to not pull TDW down too far for the expansion tax.
  • Kushen - TDW is a bit too close to Minutemen, boost TDW to 55% to avoid a conflict
  • LHS 336 - People's Marditj Liberals are in retreat, let’s fix that, target 10%
  • LHS 346 - TDW is a bit low for a control system, target 45% for now, 55% after the conflict is done
  • LP 816-60 - Expecting conflict, TDW to win
  • Ross 154 - Expecting another conflict BSAC, win that so they can get back to #2
  • Wolf 433 - Expecting conflict, can boost TDW to avoid, TDW to win
  • Lave - 12.7% Looking much better. Push for 15%

TDW TLC systems:
Charonium (Max 45%), Kushen, LHS 346, Hrimfaxi, Phra Lak, and Anyanwu

Hello Commanders! I am pleasantly surprised to find that the task list for TDW is the smallest I’ve seen in several years. Great to have a light task after the hellish week I’ve had.
We do have a couple of conflicts going the wrong way but nothing major and the expansion is still on track to drop us into Thraskias.

Items of note:
- BD-18 3106 Watch that TDW doesn't drop too far after expansion tax hits. Looks fine for now.

  • Kushen - boost TDW to 55% to avoid a conflict. Still too close for comfort.

  • Lave - 12.3%. Push for 15%

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Well it didn’t take long for that conflict to grow… It also didn’t take long for all of you to take notice and get to addressing those conflicts either. Things are looking pretty good with most of them going the right way, so keep it up! I also gave the crystal ball a really good shake and polish after looking around the rest of TDW space, which resulted in a decent list of several places for housekeeping work, but nearly all of them should be well addressed by a couple missions from a quick fly through the system. The expansion out of BD-18 3106 is nearing its conclusion, which is still pointing at Thraskias. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
  • BD-18 3106 - Watch that TDW doesn't drop too far after expansion tax hits, close to ideal at 65%. Additional, LHS 2335 Group 11.6% - Boost to ~15% to avoid conflict
  • Cartoq - TDW 6.5% - Very light boosting to 7.5%, we do not want a conflict here
  • Kushen - Continue to boost TDW to 55% to avoid a conflict. Still a bit close for comfort

  • LTT 5131 - Terra Ex controlled system, TDW to lose this conflict
  • LTT 5455 - Leaders of LHS 369 5.7% - Boost to 10% for stability

Orders 31 Aug - 02 Sep 3310

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! Our expansion dropped us into Thraskias as expected. We are already embroiled in an election, after which we should sit at #2. The usual selection of conflicts and TLC systems awaits below. I’ll be back for the next set of orders on Monday as Wolfdragon is traveling.

Items of note:

TDW has dropped sharply in LHS 397 - push us back to ~50%
TDW suffers an Infrastructure Failure in LHS 346. Boost TDW here a bit each day until it subsides.

Cartoq Elections - TDW is currently 2-0 up. We want to win, but do not want to win too well as that will cause further problems.

LP 547-159 - Boost FRC a bit out of range of retreat.
LTT 5455 - Boost Leaders of LHS 369 also.

TDW TLC systems:
Hrimfaxi (Max 40% for now), Charonium (Max 45%), LHS 397 (Max 50%), 9 Puppis (Max 55%). These all seem to have either slipped further or stagnated.

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! I’m back again for another update. Apart from a bit of bad luck catching some Infrastructure Failures, TDW is in a pretty good state with just the usual list of maintenance and conflicts to fix.

Items of note:

TDW suffers an Infrastructure Failure in LHS 346 and LHS 3531. Boost TDW here a bit each day until it subsides.
LAWD 26 - TDW is a bit low at 5.7%. Push to 7+

Lave stable but still lower than our ideal 15%

TDW TLC systems:
Hrimfaxi (Max 40% for now), Charonium (Max 45%), LHS 397 (Max 50%), 9 Puppis (Max 55%). A little better for most of these. Keep nibbling away as able.

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! We have a very lopsided set of orders this time as conflicts have broken out all over TDW space yet our TLC systems are mostly manageable. Bring out the combat ships or the ballot box stuffing to swing things back in our favor. Most of these conflicts only need to be won by a single day so no need to over do any one.

Items of note:

Charonium - TDW has been pushed sharply up with quite high traffic in system. Just observe for now.
Arque - TDW has caught an Infrastructure Failure. Throw a few inf points our way to keep things stable.

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! I am back from a short mission of mercy and back in the saddle and doing my part for working all of these conflicts that have popped up around TDW space. Like Crypto said, most of the conflicts are just fine to have a win by a couple of days and let the clock run out. Our housekeeping list is quite small again, though there is one retreat risk in Wolf 629 that has raised my eyebrow. Have fun out there in your favorite ships CMDRs, there is certainly a buffet to take your fill from this week!

Items of note:

Long conflict list, take your pick!
Chontantici - TDW 13.8% - Boost to 20% to avoid conflict
LFT 926 - Expecting conflict, CIA to win, can boost to avoid
LHS 397 - TDW 35.8% - Boost to 45% for stability
Thraskias - No more work for TDW, want to stay around the 20% mark
Wolf 629 - 36 Ophiuchi Future 3.0% - RETREAT RISK, Boost to 10%
Lave stable but still lower than our ideal 15%

TDW TLC systems:
LHS 397 (Max 50%), Hrimfaxi (Max 40% for now), 9 Puppis (Max 55%), Phra Lak (Max 55%)
There are a few more of our control systems just under 50% but they are low priority for now.

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! The long conflict list remains long but most are going the right way. The majority of them can be won by a single day. We also have quite a few of our own systems where TDW is between 40 and 50% on the TLC list.

Items of note:
A long list of conflicts.
The only one that seems to be going the wrong way is
LHS 306 War - Movement for LP 732-94 Liberals 0-1

LHS 346, Turdetani, LHS 397, Kushen, Yuqui, 86 Mu Herculis, Hrimfaxi, BD-18 3106

I can't believe I never found this in my searches. For some reason a reply notification to a post in "The search for ..." brought me here.

Quite fortuitus.

As a 'solo' researcher, I'll add this to my watch list to ensure my... science doesn't interfere and if something pops up I'll drop a line.

It's quite interesting as the OP has said many things that I have found the galaxy is pointing to.

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! Fantastic job handling the conflict list and housekeeping over the weekend! Looking at the data for this week, we have a fair number of conflicts to continue shepherding, but only two have points for the wrong side, so all in all it’s looking quite nice. I also gave the crystal ball a good shake to work out the TDW systems for housekeeping. The only eyebrow raiser is LAWD 26 where TDW is low, but that should be very easy to fix. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
  • LAWD 26 - TDW - 6.0% Boost to 15% for stability (no conflict risk)
  • LHS 397 - Keep an eye on this system, expecting conflicts, SWP is preferred to stay #2 and we don’t want Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan to get any lower and risk retreat
  • Thraskias - TDW was too high now falling hard, Boost to 20% for stability, bring bounty vouchers here (Lockdown State)

TDW TLC systems:
Kushen, Turdetani, LHS 397, 86 Mu Herculis, Yuqui
Lave is little low but stable (target 15%)

Hello Commanders! The Thargoids have arrived in our home system and have made rather a mess of the place. Those of you with combat skills or strongly survivable ships should consider assisting the war effort. Though the Thargoids have currently no effect on our BGS activities their presence in the area makes our normal operations more risky. Fly safely Commanders!
We have the usual list of conflicts and system maintenance tasks to work on including a few going the wrong way but despite the Bugs, TDW space is in reasonable shape!

Items of note:
LHS 397 - TDW has slipped too low here (35.9%) which has allowed conflicts to break out. Support Sol Workers’ Party in their election. Boost TDW back above 45%

Wars in Phra Lak and Ross 154 are going the wrong way:

Well I did so this is a day late, my bad… Congratulations to everyone for kicking the Thargoids out of Shin Dez, that’ll teach those bugs to mess with that system! Looking around TDW space there’s a couple of eyebrow raisers. Kushen needs TDW boosted to 55% to avoid a control war. Ross 154 needs some INF for BSAC to keep them safe from retreating. There is a decent list of conflicts to choose from and there are several systems where a little TDW work will go a long way towards keeping that conflict list short. All in all it looks like a nice buffet to choose from for the week. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
Kushen - TDW 39.2% - Control Conflict Risk, Boost TDW to 55% using all the ways possible (High Priority)
HR 4979 - War is going wrong way for Alliance of CD-33 8748 1-3
LFT 926 - Keep an eye out of a conflict here, want CIA to win when/if that happens
Ross 154 - BSAC 4.4% - Retreat Risk, Boost to 10%

There are a number of systems in the General Missions and Passengers list where a small boost to TDW will prevent conflicts, a few missions in those places should have the desired result

TDW TLC systems (Target INF%):
Kushen (55%), LHS 397 (45%)

Lave is little low but stable-ish (target 15%)

TDW Missions for INF, Cartography Data and Trade Profits at TDW controlled stations, and Bounty Voucher turn ins are desired at:
We are still quite high in LTT 5455. If we get close to expansion, push us over the line else leave it alone for now.

Hello Commanders! It seems that TDW space is a little quieter than recently. The list of conflicts is shorter than the usual and the TLC systems are generally healthier. There is still plenty of work to be done. Have fun out there and keep an eye out for the ‘Goids.

Kushen - Relatively safe now. Boost TDW to 55%
Boost TDW in LHS 2429, LHS 336 and LHS 369 in preparation for the next patch.

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! TDW space is still looking as good as ever coming out of the weekend, so I gave the BGS crystal ball a good shake and identified a few places where a little housekeeping work will keep the places nice and quiet. Looking at our conflicts list that’s looking quite well and good with the only outlier being CIA in LFT 926 with the 2-2 tie. Looks to me like some good, relaxing gaming sessions across TDW space for the week. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:

9 Puppis - Expecting conflict, Hlocidirus Resistance to win
