Project Status:
Hello Commanders! We have the longest list of conflicts and TLC systems that I can remember seeing. Thankfully most of these just need a gentle nudge in the right direction but it still represents a significant amount of work. CMDR Wolfdragon is off traveling for the rest of the month so I’ll be processing the orders twice weekly. RL commitments are keeping me busy but I aim to keep the posts Friday and Monday evening but expect delays.

Items of note:
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
Conflicts in Wolf 629, Phra Lak, LHS 397 and Anyanwu need a nudge.

TDW TLC systems (Target INF%):
Kushen (55%), Turdetani (50%), 86 Mu Herculis (50%)
LHS 306, 9 Puppis, LHS 397, Hrimfaxi, Anyanwu, Yuqui and LHS 346 also need work.

Lave down again to 10.8% (target 15%)

Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. TDW being present in many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the codex entry

Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings

As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks

Please remember:
  • Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below
  • Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own
  • Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems

Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:

Hello Commanders! Our list of conflicts and TLC systems continues to grow in the absence of some of our heavy hitters. Knock over whatever you can manage. Where possible, keeping TDW above 50% in systems we control leaves less room for conflicts and a lighter task list.
We are expanding out of BD-18 3106 with a likely target of Venne, a system controlled by ADEC, with whom we share a number of other systems.

Items of note:

Hello Commanders! Slight improvements in most systems this time around. There are a couple of conflicts going against us and a few places where we’ve slipped but overall we are doing well.
Priorities for this set of orders would likely be Anyanwu and HR 4979 where conflicts are tying up influence and we have slipped well down from where we should be. Miss Crypto has assisted with the data analysis for this set of orders.

Items of note:
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
Ignore the conflicts in Arque and Turdetani (again)
Watch TDW in Sokoji as we are a bit low.

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! Further improvements in TDW systems this period. The conflict list seems shorter and most TLC systems are more stable. We do have a control conflict in LHS 306 to fight and a few other conflicts are going the wrong way. There are also some TLC systems needing work for stability. Our expansion also completed while I was gathering data for these orders. We have arrived in Venne, controlled by ADEC, who welcome us to stay.

Items of note:
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
LHS 306 - Control Conflict War - TDW 0-0

TDW TLC systems (Target INF%):
Kushen (55%), Turdetani (50%), 86 Mu Herculis (50%)
Turdetani, Anyanwu and 86 Mu Herculis are all below 40% currently.

Lave 10.8% (target 15%)

Hello Commanders! We continue to have a large list of conflicts to sort out. Most only need to be won by a single day. Several conflicts are going the wrong way so do what you can to change that trajectory! System LHS 306 is an interesting one - we won our control conflict, but have now slipped into 2nd position. Boost TDW into conflict and we can take another of the orbital stations. We also have the usual list of TLC systems to work on. WolfDragon seems to be back from holidays so the next set of orders will likely be from him.

Items of note:
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
LHS 306 - As mentioned, we are in control still but dropped to 2nd position. Boost us into another conflict and win that.

Hahgwe - TDW still in retreat, but safe for now at 10.7%

Greetings CMDRs! A huge thank you to Crypto and Ms Crypto for handing “my turn” at these updates while I was out on a nice and much needed vacation with Mrs. WolfDragon. Looking around TDW space, there is quite the list of conflicts, some are new but most are already going the right direction. As expected TDW has an election in LHS 306, we for sure want to make sure that TDW retains control of the system so let's go stuff some ballot boxes! There is a short list for housekeeping tasks this week, all of which should be pretty easy to fix with a quick trip over to those mission boards. All in all it looks pretty good to me, have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
LHS 306 - Win the election for TDW to maintain control of the system
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
Anyanwu - LHS 346 Democrats 4.4% - Retreat risk, boost to ~7%

  • When factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (N by their name in Inara) to LOSE. We can ignore conflicts between two native factions
  • We want non-native factions above native factions to avoid invasions. When factions are above 7% influence and own an asset, conflicts can occur. Keep a few % between non-natives to prevent this

Project Status:
Hello Commanders! The new patch has arrived with significant changes to PowerPlay. The main effect for us will be the removal of government type as a significant factor, removing a conflict point between PowerPlayers and those who work the BGS. As a public project open to any player, Turning the Wheel remains neutral to all Powers. Individual Commanders are welcome to pledge to the Power of their choice or remain unpledged. TDW space is becoming much more stable, possibly due to the return of several of our heavy hitters from other duties. Well done all!

Items of note:
LHS 306 - Boost TDW up to about 50%
Kushen - Attempt to maintain TDW at about 55%
LTT 5455 - Leaders of LHS 369 - Retreat.
LHS 397 - Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan - Infrastructure Failure

TDW TLC systems and current INF, Boost to target 50% (unless otherwise specified):
LHS 306 35.2
Hrimfaxi 42.2
Charonium 43.5
Yuqui 44.0
Phra Lak 44.5

Lave 10.2% (target 15%) (Down but Stable)

Project Status:

Greetings CMDRs! The dust with the new patch seems to be settling a bit and most of the “issues” thus far look to be minor as far as the project is concerned. Without a doubt, these shall all be sorted and everyone else will be happy too! Speaking of sorting things, we have two factions that need love or else they will retreat from TDW space and we hardly ever want that to happen. The conflict list is still a little long, but appears well handled and the housekeeping list was a bit very short so I have the crystal ball a good shake to add some good get aheads to keep TDW space in as good of shape as possible going into the weekend. Have fun out there!

Items of note:
LTT 5455 - Leaders of LHS 369 5.6% Retreat - Boost to 10% to keep them in system
LHS 397 - Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan 2.9% - Retreat Risk, boost to 10% to keep them safe

LHS 2429 - Expecting conflict, TDW to win
LHS 306 - Maintain TDW at about 55%

Greetings CMDRs! It looks like everyone’s PP 2.0 merits grind is in full swing and is causing quite a bit of BGS volatility across not just TDW space, but everywhere across the bubble. I will certainly take a bit of chaos now for the benefit of more CMDRs online in the long run! That being said, TDW space has a number of conflicts and a handful of systems where we need some housekeeping work done. Have fun out there, space has gotten a little bit more crowded now!

Arque - TDW 5.4% - Retreat risk, boost to 10%
LHS 397 - Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan 8.5% - Retreat. Boost to ~10%
Ross 1015 - TDW 6.9% - Retreat risk, boost to 10%

Hello Commanders! Powerplay merit grinding still seems to be destabilizing things all over the bubble. Expect strangeness. In TDW space, things are going fairly well, the conflicts list is the shortest I’ve seen in a long while.

There is an interesting bit of tin-foil rustling going on in Sol. Details at the following Reddit link:

I wish them luck though I am highly skeptical that they can make it work.

Items of note:
Kushen - We’ve dropped again sharply, boost TDW to 60% INF
Baker - we have an Election to get back in control here now that PowerPlay doesn't care about government type.
Luyten 205-128 - TDW at 8.8% with Infrastructure Failure.
Anyanwu - Retreat risk LHS 346 Democrats 3.4%

TDW TLC systems and current INF, Boost to target 50% (unless otherwise specified):
Kushen 53.9% (Target 60+)
86 Mu Herculis 45.4%
LHS 336 - 4.9% Target 15%
LAWD 26 - 5% Target 15%
Coelrind - 9%
LHS 369 - 12%

Nu-2 Canis Majoris 15.9%
Santy 17.7%
Charonium 39.8%
LHS 397 42.3%

Lave 6.3% (target 15%) (Down again) This will be an uphill climb!

Greetings CMDRs! This week brings us a decent list of conflicts, the most important being the election to retake control of Baker now that we have PP 2.0 and controlling government types no longer matter. Across TDW space we are still seeing the effects of what I can logically attribute to BGS fallout of the PP 2.0 Merit Grind, the favored systems of those activities are seeing tremendous gains to the controlling faction while the rest of the factions are in a free fall, this also the case across the bubble. The end result for us is that TDW is quite low in many guest systems and TDWs untempered gains in Wolf 629 has caused Sol Workers Party to start the retreat timeline, but they can still be saved!

Like Cryptography, I too find the current tinfoiling in SOL to be rather interesting and while I too am a bit skeptical of the thought process, i wish all participants in that experiment the best of luck and commend you on the trending data I see in SOL which reveals that your efforts are doing precisely what you would like to accomplish as step 1.

Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:
Baker - we have an Election to get back in control here now that PowerPlay doesn't care about government type, currently 0-1
Kushen - Still unstable, keep TDW close to 60%

Hello Commanders! The turbulence of PP2.0 has hit a good number of our systems. We have lots of TLC focussed on preventing future retreats. None seem active right now but with the instability that could change quickly. We also have an expansion kicked off from BD-18 3106 and several other systems close to the the expansion threshold. Do what you can to reign these in to more sensible levels.
I took a snapshot of our systems a few days after powerplay 2.0 release and compared that to today’s list. 1 system changed hands from Grom to Archer and 10 more systems have been taken over by a Power, previously being independent. Only 11 systems where TDW are present are free currently. Lets see what the future brings!

Items of note:
Kushen - getting close again for a control conflict. Boost TDW ~60%
Santy - A little more work and we can get a control conflict going to take this place back for TDW.

Greetings CMDRs! It seems like some of the PP 2.0 turbulence has slightly calmed, but it is far from past while FDev are fine tuning which string pulls what and how hard. Your efforts at preventing retreats have been largely successful with far fewer of them on this week’s list, but do jump on these while the getting is good. We have a decent number of conflicts to shepherd this week as well so it looks like there is quite a variety of things to do across TDW space. The expansion from BD-18 3106 is ongoing, so no worries there, but there are a few places where TDW could stand to back away from the 75% mark just a bit to keep the non-natives in safe positions. Have fun out there CMDRs!

Hello Commanders! There is never a dull moment in TDW space. Just as it looks like we are getting on top of the chaos caused by PP2, we now have the possible threat of Thargoid related problems around Sol region. The final Titan has moved and is thought to be heading to Sol. Expect increased Thargoid interdictions in the region near Sol. There is also the possibility that a bunch of systems might become Thargoid invasion sites once the Titan arrives and sets up shop. This would complicate our operations in the region! We have an expansion due to complete in a few more days with a likely target of LHS 2370. The list of retreat preventions is under control for the most part and the conflict list is also well managed.

Items of note:
Santy - TDW control conflict Elections - TDW 2-0 to take back control

Wolf 629 - Retreat Risk 36 Ophiuchi Future 3.1 Infrastructure Failure.

TDW TLC systems and current INF, Boost to target 50% (unless otherwise specified):

Greetings CMDRs! The Thargoids are turning up the heat in SOL and it appears that PP 2.0 is still very much a bit of a BGS wrecking ball in a number of places where the powers are jockeying for position. The PP 2.0 activities are likely still the cause for TDW and/or the controlling faction being quite high on the ladder and causing one active retreat that needs fixing as well as making the crystal ball say we have a number of them to watch out for. We have a reasonably short list of conflicts to shepherd both for TDW and a few for our non-natives, most of which look well in hand. The expansion out of BD-18 3106 is still counting down the days to completion. This is certainly not a dull week in TDW space! Have fun out there CMDRs!

Items of note:

Ao - Expecting conflict, can boost TDW to avoid, TDW to win
LP 547-159 - Expecting conflict, TDW to win
Thraskias - Expecting conflict, can boost TDW to avoid, TDW to win

Santy - TDW has taken back control of the system. We still want TDW to be a bit higher, Luyten 347-14 Confederation needs to drop to ~20% INF which frees up space for Green Party of Sameni 3.9% and LTT 7509 Ltd 3.5% to get back above 7% and out of retreat/invasion risk range.

I'm guessing PPv2 is not helping Faction stability with all those retreat risks?
It's "better" since they turned off the rare goods trade profits (they were slamming the trade BGS lever for the station owner HARD) but it's still very noticeable where PP grinding is still taking place as it is still favoring the controlling faction, which is causing many many systems to have the controlling faction essentially stuck very high. This causes the rest of the factions to fall down quite low, and is making the effort required to "fix lows" significantly more than what was "the usual" compared to the PP 1.0 days

It's all down to activity in the system, there's more now, so the BGS takes more effort, which is how that is supposed to be, but this PP grind is still quite the BGS wrecking ball.
