Project Status:
Greetings CMDRs! TDW is currently in an election to take control of LHS 2429, since CIA is a dead PMF, this system is fair game, so be sure to stuff those ballot boxes! TDW is also currently expanding out of Baker, nothing required here except for waiting for the clock to tick down and see where TDW goes. I am cautiously optimistic that the bow wave of PP 2.0 has largely passed through TDW space, and while there is certainly quite a bit of PP activity, the list of potential retreats that we have been working quite hard to prevent has remained very short from over the weekend. What has not remained short is the conflicts list, which is understandable as many systems are bouncing back to more stable inf levels, so conflicts are a bit expected. That all said, I see things trending back to how things “should be” which makes for a less hectic and more relaxing time in TDW space. Have fun out there CMDRs!
Items of note:
LHS 2429 - TDW is in elections to take control of the system
86 Mu Herculis - TDW is still a bit too close for comfort here, boost back above 40% to avoid a challenge to control of the system
Ao - Expecting conflict, TDW to win, can boost to avoid
Jaunera - Expecting conflict, TDW to win, can boost to avoid
Lave - TDW down around 10% again. Boost when able
Retreat Risk/Repair
(Boost these factions to ~10%. 7% might not be enough under current conditions!)
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748 3.9%
Yuqui - Baris Progressive Party 5.4%
LHS 369 - EFRC 5.8% (Friends of the project, we want them to stay)
(Watch these systems for retreat risks, if they go below 6.0%, Boost to ~10%)
Coelrind - Alliance Office of Statistics 7.7%
Also some TLC for TDW in:
(nothing raising an eyebrow this update)
Turning the Wheel remains in the final planned phase of the project. Our primary goals during this phase are to maintain the systems that The Dark Wheel controls for BGS stability and to expand TDW into neighboring systems. If a new system is free from other PMFs and/or PP issues, TDW will take ownership. If other PMFs occupy the system, we will seek an agreement to allow TDW to stay, be friendly, and not attempt to take control of the system. This is the “good neighbor” policy that has worked very well for the project thus far. TDW being present in many systems is in opposition to what the codex entry says. As TDW grows it is hoped that this will trigger “something” with respect to Felicity Farseer’s quote in the codex entry
Above all, we continue Turning the Wheel for the camaraderie that working together for a common goal brings
As always, if something pops up that “looks odd” see the General Remarks
Please remember:
- Do NOT work for other factions in TDW systems, unless requested below
- Do NOT hand in trade goods or cartography data to stations that we do not own
- Do NOT hand in bounties for any faction other than TDW in our systems
Possible Next Expansion Trigger System:

Expansion pending out of Baker.

Bounty Hunting:
Bounty hunting in any of our controlled systems (9 PUPPIS and/or ANYANWU Compromised Nav Beacons and/or Resource Extraction Sites in TDW controlled systems are great places to go)
Turn in TDW bounty vouchers earned in these locations:
The TDW retreat risk/repair systems listed above
Bounties are apparently the most reliable way to prevent retreats
General Missions & Passengers:
Note: Work Missions for INF in the following systems for the given faction
Keep an eye out for any non-natives getting too low in systems we control
Any TDW controlled system with less than 50% inf are good candidates to do TDW missions in, see “TDW TLC systems”
- Anything in the retreat risk/repair systems listed above
- Lave - Boost TDW, target 15% (slipped a bit recently)
Commodity Trading AND/OR Exploration Data:
Trade and Cartographic data into TDW owned stations in the following systems:
- Do some trade or Carto drops to stations owned by TDW or the faction we are preventing retreat for in the list above. Missions only may not be enough in the current climate.
- Any TDW station in systems where our influence is between 30 and 50%
Preferred #2 non-native factions (when there are more than one non-native in a system )for long term stability:
9 PUPPIS - Ralu Independents
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419
CHARONIUM - Leviathan Scout Regiment
HR 4979 - Alliance of CD-33 8748
KUSHEN - Minutemen
LHS 397 - Sol Workers' Party
LTT 5455 - Minutemen
TURDETANI - TEAC
WOLF 629 - Sol Workers' Party

When factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (N by their name in Inara) to LOSE. We can ignore conflicts between two native factions
We want non-native factions above native factions to avoid invasions. When factions are above 7% influence and own an asset, conflicts can occur. Keep a few % between non-natives to prevent this
Please continue to use EDMC or similar tools to keep local data up to date
