Ok. It appears that the two desired non-native minor factions* in LTT 5455 are now in the 2nd and 3rd positions with regard to INF, but in the opposite order desired according to the standing orders, and we have avoided a conflict between the two.
Is this significant?

Their order isn't important. I expressed the preference that GQV Corp remain #2 but it's not worth worrying about either way.

IMO the only factor is that the lower of the two would be the one that risks retreat if LTT 5455 is invaded. That is both a low probability anyway and likely to be solved diplomatically (ie by you guys).

So as long as GQV Corp doesn't retreat it's all good :)

There are lots of systems nearby that have overlapping factions that I use(d) to support each other. TDW would be a great second place non-native to many of those.

If you're concerned about the case where they are in a conflict and then someone directly invades against the Dark Wheel, recent research has found that invasions against the controller can no longer happen.

If you were wanting to avoid getting your non-native buffers in conflict for other reasons, never mind :)

Excellent job on the careful cleanup work last cycle!!! All that remains from that is the timer to end in LTT 5455 for that retreat state to end.

The Dark Wheel is in expansion from LTT 5455 and will arrive somewhere around 22-24 OCT.
As soon as that happens, I will let all of you know what needs doing in the new system.

ARQUE is still getting some third party involvement, any work there, if you choose to do so, should be to the benefit of ARRC. Please do not do any work for TDW there.

TDW is too high on INF in CHARONIUM and WOLF 433, do not work there and let the systems settle down

Overall, this cycle looks to be much “simpler” as I had hoped it would be. Just a couple of conflicts and only a handful of systems needs some love for low factions and BGS maintenance. That is a testament to all of your hard work last week!

...and we have already succeeded in jumping Nuenets Corp above the other INF-locked factions currently in conflict in the HR 4979 System!

Presumably now just a modest boost in INF and winning the election state for Alliance of CD-33 8748 (currently 1 - 1), and we'll have the system in a good position for more stability.

The Dark Wheel expanded from LTT 5455 and went to LHS 306. There are no player factions here so let’s win that invasion war and then we will work to take control of the system!

The next expansion looks like it will likely happen out of BD 18-3106, but with the current conflict there the INF is likely going to be very hard to pull from the lower factions. Best bet here is to hold as much of the 74% that TDW currently has and once that conflict is over, it should be a quick job to make that expansion light off.

ANYANWU - This one needs to be done carefully, we want both non-native factions above the native ones. We first need to make room by boosting Alliance of LTT 5419 so that when Aegilips Co gets their boost (and that triggers an election) there isn’t a conflict for the #2 spot

CHARONIUM - TDW is too high on INF, do NOT work there and let the system settle down

LHS 1857 - Ignore that war, we just want to be in the system, not conflicting with PMFs

LHS 417 - Win the election here, then NO work. TDW in the #2 spot is ideal

Today’s data shows that TDW has reached 76.4% INF in BD 18-3106, with that, TDW should be in Pending Expansion state on the tick tomorrow. EXCELLENT JOB CMDRs! Once that pending expansion shows, no further INF work is needed for TDW there. For stability of the system, please put some INF towards LHS 2335 Group to restore the buffer between them and the rest of the native factions in BD 18-3106.

The climb for control of LHS 306 is going fantastically well. TDW is pending elections there for the #2 spot, after that is won it’s the final climb to the top and to make that system fly the TDW flag!

Project Status:


TDW is in the expansion cycle from BD 18-3106, looking at the calendar, I expect that to land TDW in a neighboring system sometime between 09-11 NOV. I’ll handle the “what next” as soon as TDW lands.

LHS 306 - TDW is currently in elections for #2 there and once that is won we will want to continue the climb for control of the system

CHARONIUM - TDW is about 5% too high on INF, things are looking stable here but for good measure, do NOT work there as we can just let this one ride

ANYANWU - There is a nonnative war that needs addressing, typically we do not care about these and just fix things later, but the LHS 346 Democrats with their negative state are likely going to be driven to retreat if they lose. Either way we will have some cleanup to do after this war concludes.

This week has a small list to choose from, but 9 PUPPIS and PHRA LAK have items that could really use the attention, so being able to focus on those for the CMDRs that prefer mission running is all good news! We also have a few lingering conflicts to finish out, all in all a very nice state for the “to do list”!

TDW expanded from BD 18-3106 to SOKOJI, an AEDC controlled system. Currently, AEDC is doing some work there for their own benefit. For the time being DO NOTHING in SOKOJI.

ANYANWU - Great job preventing that retreat! This system is being a bit of a headache, after the two natives duke it out, I’ll see what can be done for some shuffling around for some stability here, in the meantime there's an election here to work on.

CHARONIUM - TDW is higher than I would like to see it, but i am expecting that conflict between TDW and the #3 will happen soon, we will want to WIN that one and maintain the #2 spot.

LHS 306 - Let’s focus our efforts here to gain INF for TDW so we can take over the system and make it fly the TDW flag!

General Remarks:
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • CHARONIUM - TDW is to be #2, well below Leviathan Scout Regiment, ~20% is ideal
  • CHONTANTICI - TDW is to be #2, well below Wolf 406 Transport & Co, ~20% is ideal
  • LAVE - TDW is to be #2, well below Lave Radio Network, ~15% is ideal
  • LHS 1857 - TDW is a guest of Flotta Stellare, we want to be above the natives, ideally not conflicting with the other player factions.
  • LHS 417 - TDW is to be #2 or #3, not fighting with any of the PMFs here is the ideal case
  • SOKOJI - No work here for now
  • WOLF 433 - TDW is to be #2, well below LHS 2541 Alliance Combine, ~20% is ideal
  • As a general rule, when factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (Blue N by their name in Inara when looking at the system) to LOSE. Where two non-native factions conflict, neither winner is “desired”, depending on INF level after the conflict, we would likely boost the LOSER to avoid retreat (happens at 2.5% or lower). Two native factions in conflict can be ignored and their INF in the system can be addressed after the conflict ends.
  • Another general rule, we want non-native factions above the native factions to avoid invasions. Take note that when factions are above 7% influence, and two of them match in %INF, and at least one of them has an asset, this will trigger a conflict. Where possible keep a few % between non-native factions to avoid a conflict as the loser will likely need to get boosted back up above the native factions for stability of the system.

The conflict in LP 787-52 has been going backwards. I noticed it a couple of days ago when it was 2-0 in favor of TDW. I have been working that conflict and thought we would be at 2-2 today, but we're now 3-1 in favor of TDW. We're going to need some help to move this in favor of the Minutemen faction, the desired outcome.

EDIT: LHS 306 worked out wonderfully. Now just need to bump TDW's INF there.
