Ships Type-10 Released!

Got real mixed feelings about this, the spoiler is just ugly as F, and my T9 is just doing great so maybe I’d just wait for the chieftain.

Spoiler is terrible, I reckon they will give us ship kits, one of which will be at the very least a subtle spoiler. The spoiler just looks like the kind of ship kit I'd laugh at, then carry on browsing.

I'm curious to find out how it performs with a D-class thruster. The performance difference between A and D is so small on the T-7 and T-9, I've just always ran with D on them.

I think so. I was just looking at it in ED Shipyard. As a trader, the only improvement I see is the grade 7 FSD. I have engineered the 6A FSD in my T-9 which, pretty well, negates that advantage. I don't see myself moving over to a T-10 any time soon.

As far as an anaconda, I stripped my Anaconda for parts, to build up my T-9, and left it somewhere. I would have to log in to see where it is. As a trader, I am much happier with the T-9

...i am guessing you don't use biweaves

Dude I have around 200+ ships in my fleet, yes I use Bi weaves on various builds. Have done so since they first entered the game. Always open to your knowledge Ziljan, are you running Bi-weaves on the T-10 against Thargoids? What's your build like?

Well, I have bought one, she is not cheap! Fitted it out, A rated except for 8C Bi-weaves. Engineered for G3 DD and stuff, but it is for want of a better word, crap. My Python is more effective against a Thargoid, as I can dance around it and run away when I need to, this thing is far too slow. It turns okay, but it is just a lump of lead and it doesn't take the beating it professes to do. I will give it another go, but quite honestly, I think I would rather have the 500+MCr back in the bank and wait for the Chieftain. Back to the Python for now methinks :(

most big ships don't feel great without some engineering, did you engineer your drives? I'll say the cutter for example drives me crazy with it's floaty drifty slow turns even engineered, but the type 10 felt decent

Yep, I engineered the drives G3 DD was all I had the mats for, but it is just not fast enough and even with G5 DD it will not be able to outrun a thargoid. I prefer the Cutter to be honest, I know it drifts, and is slow to turn but this T-10 just feels like taking a 747 up against an F-16!

I miss the Kornelius Briedis analysis on ED tech.

With the small PD it looks like a Bullet Boat only (MC/C/M).

That said, with it's cool running profile and thermal weapon mods it will positively wreck slow moving targets.
