Type 10 size and getting stuck in the airlock

It's not about skill. I have no problems with other ships. Type 10 in the butt is placed in the airlock. Well, I didn't have time to get out of the game because I tried to get out myself because it was possible, but the physics of the game thought differently.
It's about skill, and situation awareness. If the docking computer can do something you can't, you need to learn from the docking computer. Watch what it does a few times, both from the cockpit and with the outside camera view. (With the T10 it takes a very "assertive" slot position; there isn't room to pass a T9 coming the other way).

By all means ditch the DC again once you can do what it does yourself.

It is a matter of skill, or at least a bit of practice finding the proper way to navigate the slot. I land my bigs including Type 9/10 without using the DC/ADC without issue all of the time. Sometimes an NPC or another player does something stupid and causes a problem at the slot. If I am leaving, I just log off, then back on. If I am arriving, I either wait, or log if it is an NPC. If a real player, I log, block the idiot for slot/pad blocking, then log back in.

Just a note in point, if you do get yourself stuck through pilot error there is no need to wait for the station to kill you. Log out to the main menu and start again, you will be placed in a safe position away from the station.

Well, depends what one defines as skill.

When flying big wide ships, before getting out of the station you need to evaluate incoming traffic. IF you fly a T10 and you see a T9 or beluga or another large ship lining up to get inside the station, you have to wait.
Do not attempt to get out because there is a chance you 2 meet in the mailslot and get entangled there or in the grill right outside the mailslot.

For a challenge, try evacuation flights on a burning ststaion (right now: Dyson City in Paresa):
  • no ADC supported
  • toast rack smashed
  • parts of the station floating around inside
  • reduced visibility
  • if you take too long in getting out, you'll be fried

I only fly a Phantom here, but I can see several players with Belugas and at least one Corvette doing evecuation flights. If you see a Beluga coming out of the slot, you make way - one way or another.

I fly this Conda on my Epic account - maybe i will get to unlock the Cutter eventually
No issues. I usually get in and let the collectors do their stuff for like 5 minutes (picking materials and salvage stuff) then i land and pick up between 11-16 passenger missions
I get out and deliver those, then i check the megaship for missions regarding the salvage stuff i just picked inside the station.
Getting rep in/out is really nice.

Also it's a good source of mission only cargo - hence the big 128t cargo - when that fills up, i go to unload at the carrier.
