It's about skill, and situation awareness. If the docking computer can do something you can't, you need to learn from the docking computer. Watch what it does a few times, both from the cockpit and with the outside camera view. (With the T10 it takes a very "assertive" slot position; there isn't room to pass a T9 coming the other way).It's not about skill. I have no problems with other ships. Type 10 in the butt is placed in the airlock. Well, I didn't have time to get out of the game because I tried to get out myself because it was possible, but the physics of the game thought differently.
By all means ditch the DC again once you can do what it does yourself.
