B. for Biscuit
C. for Cookie

In the US however biscuit is a completely different item.. (usually goes with fried chicken and it's delicious)

Yep. What the Brits call a biscuit, we here on the west side of the pond call a cookie. We have a breakfast dish here in America called biscuits and gravy. I told some of my colleagues "If you ever go to the UK don't order biscuits and gravy. They'll look at you like you've completely lost your mind. Gravy? You don't put gravy on a biscuit." I think the closest the UK has to what we call biscuits here is scones. But they aren't sweet. Actually I don't know if scones are sweet or not. Never tried one.

Well scones in the US are usually sweet not sure in the UK... but yeah in Italian biscotti (not what you get in the US) means cookie so closer to the UK definition.... and now everyone is confused, that's probably why the Thargoids left.

Er... There might be some parts of the UK (speaking as a native!) where they'll gladly serve you biscuits and gravy!

Deep fried Mars Bar anyone?

Mmmm tasty, I prefer Deep Fried Bounty though.

Edit: And around Easter time you can't beat a Deep Fried Creme Egg.

Deep fried Bounty?... wow that sounds delicious.

On the other hand Deep Fried Twinkies like they have at some of the county fairs here..... I'm not that brave. Sorry I tap out on that one.

Were any of those systems places you guys were bombing in secret with UA sales?

I'll be honest, mine isn't, but I never moved past 13 sales, due to doing the Nebula Station CGs and fighting the wars in my home.

I know pubilcly some people were selling in Sol. Ngobe and Iapodes I've not seen mentioned though.

Thanks for linking the article. Anyone else find it ironic that we're so willing to take these UAs to human stations, essentially sabotaging our own space with these potential Trojan Horses? I mean, IRL no one is gonna die from this so no biggie really. And in studying these things, I can certainly see the value in testing station malfunctions with UA sales. But it feels like we're just rolling out the red carpet for our potential alien overlords, who I personally welcome and celebrate :D

Honey, buttery biscuits and fried chicken... guess I'll be getting KFC tonight. Thanks Eagle! ;)

All scones I've bought here in the US have been pretty sweet. But I just figured our scones were Americanized versions of whatever nation scones originated in (and yeah we do that with Mexican food, Italian food, etc. sometimes for the best, sometimes not).

Ok so interesting information. The Alien sneaks are also recording where (and what?) our hard points are. THAT is MILITARY intel. CONCLUSIVE. This is an intelligence asset and we need to continue the MASSACRE from last night(it warmed the cockles watching explosion after explosion of those scummy little alien vengeance pods popping in to oblivion)

You know the drill - Nuke 'em till they glow and then shoot 'em in the black!.

On a much more important note. Would one of our American brethren please post a picture of "Biscuits and Gravy". I have this image of a box of Jacobs finest sweet biscuits covered in lumpy chicken Oxo. Not a delicacy I would expect to enjoy at the Oxo Towers...

On the topic of Scones.... Mildly sweet plain scones, fruit (raisin) scones, and Cheese (hell yeah) scones, are the primary cake(are they a cake?) served with High Tea, plain and fruit once are usually served with clotted cream and strawberry jam (Jello in North America?) and slightly salted butter. The Cheese ones; oh a good warm cheese scone is second only to la petit mort.....

Very educational, now googling biscuits that look like scones.
Need to order some next time I go to the states of A (haven't seen a plane in ages).

Ah yes... the pre 2.0 insanity is setting in much earlier than I anticipated... as we desperately wait until PL to progress the mystery we regress to our default state... cookies & the Simpsons...

and sugary foods in general.

This would be pretty typical:

When done right, they are extremely delicious, and usually require a nap afterwards.

I know you guys have KFC in the UK. What do they call the baked doughy side that comes with the chicken there? Actually I just went to the UK KFC site and I didn't spy a single biscuit. Mind blown! :D

If nothing else, I'm glad we've reached a point of convergence that the word 'biscuit', at least whether you're UK or USA (Wider european and otherwise, please pitch in!), are a desirable thing.

I also usually need a nap after eating biscuits, too - but that's because I can clear a pound (around 450g in new money) of shortbread in one sitting.

And by 'sitting' I mean around 20 minutes...

And by '20 minutes' I mean approximately 20 mouthfuls.
