Just an idea. Have we tried taking one of these to the other side of the galaxy to see if it stops pointing at merope?

Are you volunteering?

lol not that keen matey ;)

No worries chaps, my n00b CMDR friend (who flew through our first UA) are going to kit up on AFMs and go "out there". Multi-putpose: he's still aimless and will enable him to get some explorer ranks.

We'll report back soon.

(Other multi-purpose reason: to get the hell out of dodge as 'civilised' space slowly malfunctions around the bubble lol)

Had 14 tonnes of beer, personal use, but need to re-stock after the last few days. It's going to be one hell of a journey!

Have a nice trip then!

Thanks :)

<AHEM> I have a confession to make, too: I've sold 7 UAs at stations in the last few days in the hope of contributing to the fall of the 'civilisation' of the space monkeys (read: us), in the hope the Thargoids will be more merciful with me at the end... Hence why I want to get out of here as quickly as possible!

There probably isn't a way to fix the station malfunctions yet. Could just be a plot device. Unless there's a way to keep the UAs from damaging the ships that just hasn't been found yet.

Will be very interesting to see what the next stations are that have problems, and if it coincides with the test selling locations. Fun stuff!

Thanks :)

So you took lessons from Baltar? He'd be so proud.

But remember this. No one trusts a traitor. Even the people to whom you benefit. They'll think "We could be the next ones he/she/it betrays.

Problem is, I don't trust myself! ;)

Nout to do with traitorism; just want the Thargoids to appear... "Soon" (TM) Just doing them a favour, like ;)

And yes, once I've deposed the Thargoids and there are no space monkeys left, I SHALL BE SUPREME LEADER!

Oooh! Time to take my meds... <zzzzzzzzz>

Just sold a UA to Weyn Dock at 64 Areitis!
So who wants the Rare "Waters of Shintara" for the rares experiment- I can collect some?

Are we going to let this avid poster complete the thankless task?? I've been away for a day or so, guess there's a reason.

May be a "coincidence", but 49 Aretis was featured in this week's peek. That system has been one of the those with reported technical difficulties.

Could the station troubles there perhaps be linked to the ground bases, rather than something of Alien origin?

Hey, anyone can join in... Yourself included! It's just a case of 'pick a point x thousand Ly away, point and go'. Experiments should not only be repeatable, but done my many!

BTW, technically my 'n00b' friend isn't n00b - he was born at the end of the 70s and STILL managed to play Elite (on the BBC) and Fronter: Elite, too. He's taken to E: D like a fish to water... EXCEPT when he face-planted my first UA with his Cobra ("I didn't realise it was so wide" - barmaids and bishops etc.). Plenty of mick taking been occurring since lol

PS not normally an avid poster - but the UAs have got me (and a lot of us by the sounds of it) by the short and curlies!

Why would water fix/heal electronic malfunctions? (Assuming your bringing the rare goods to the "infected-malfunctioned" stations)
Wouldn't that make it worse?

If any rare goods are meant to interact with the UA, test the ones of unknown origins such as Sap 8. (Already done in a different context) There are several rare goods with unknown origins, just check the descriptions.

Good spot! FD have used trailers to foreshadow UA content in the past so this may be important.

Neritus Berries should have been banked earlier today. At least I got it on my list and I'm pretty sure I collected it (count of items match, so unless it was destroyed in operation or something, it should be there). :)

Very, very interesting... I didn't notice it myself... so many systems to choose from, and look...
