I know it, and I gave credit to Anjin in all the first posts about the Drawing Tool. But for fast reference, now, I just refer to it as Red's, just because his last version is the one we are using.

But, again, credit to Anjin, and to you for your version as well ;)

BTW, Red's version is not updated: DBX and DBS drawing are still inverted.

Anjin did the bulk of the work on that page, my contribution was minor.

I still have a note to swap the DBX and DBS. Should get it done tomorrow ;)

Yep, it's all good. It's much easier to reference that way, I agree.

Aw, thanks :) I'm not too worried about my sketch tool being used or not really. Was a fun experiment!

Oh I wouldn't say minor, those presets and colourisation were a nice addition! :)

Also I don't know what the plans are for Ed, but I think your Merope shell visualization should get some air time if possible, it's a really great way of showing off the extent of the UA shell.

It's possible that the script missed some points from the models. Nothing more nothing less.

Just got me thinking.... the most basic secret code, the oldest, is (I think) basic substiution code.

Could these mistakes be the key for a substitution code?

When applied to the entire sequence is there a hidden message? OK it's a bit far out... but I might have a play with that...

I've already played with substitution codes and the mistaken sequences some time ago: nothing came out.
But not being an expert on the matter, I think another brain could be useful for sure.

These are the incriminated sequences:

Code:
[B]Adder:[/B] PJLKN

[B]Anaconda:[/B] NJPSPLS

[B]Asp: [/B]TSRST RUQST

[B]Cobra:[/B] [B]BM[/B]QPVL (only the first two letters)

[B]DBX:[/B] ONNJP

[B]Orca:[/B] JKJJM

[B]T7:[/B] ULYGI

Enjoy!

So, anyone notice in the 1.5 patch notes that one of the new mission types is "Contact Mission"? Set my UA and Thargoid sense tingling. I really hope it isn't "take this message and contact Bob about it" though.

Something like this ?

Yup, out of rep though.

I also like the "renamed various planets" patch note. Which ones? Why? Would be nice to know if this was related to say Soontill and Kumbaya both being in-game and the like, other lore inconsistencies or additions, or something entirely different.

Edit: My favourites though are always the zero-length or off-by-one vector and array index errors, which shows the high quality of the coding/unit testing/code review that goes into the product.

Edit 2: Anyone figure out what "FSD Boost" routing is and what the different levels represent? Or is that related to the still-to-come "crafting" and not implemented? I'd try it but I don't like blowing up. "I'll just add some handwavium to some looktheotherwayium and presto. my FSD is better than it was before. Don't try this at home kids!"

I think that most planet renames so far have been as a result of exoplanets being discovered and/or named.

Thought I would try them in the order the ships go in on the ED website, looks a bit like a game of Asteroids UA.jpg

Tentative suggestion - Maybe need to add in the new 1.5 ships for it to make sense?

Someone mentioned that an Anaconda with a 35ly FSD range was bumped up to 70ly FSD range with the level 3 boost. It wasn't clear how many jumps the boost was good for though. Yes, it's related to crafting the boost component.

I like to think as betas as opportunities to experience the joys of blowing up without lasting consequences. It's pretty much compulsory for me actually, in the beta I'm still at Sag A*. I'm definitely not going to waste my time flying back home.
