Horizons UI focus won't work in srv

X52 pro - UI focus won't work in srv

Hi,

Sorry if this has already been discussed, I've found nothing about this problem : I'm using a Saitek X52 Pro, pinkie switch as UI focus button. Everything works fine in flight, no problem at all. But as soon as I use a srv, it does absolutely nothing. So no UI focus -> no ship boarding :|

So the question is pretty simple : X52 owners, what's your setup ??

Thanks !

Scroll all the way down in control settings. SRV has its own set of bindings, independent on the ship.

Pro tip: Load the default config for your device. Set your custom binds afterwards.

I did exactly that : Load the Saitek x52 Pro default settings, configured the UI focus button (twice, still don't get why you have to do that ?!) but I still have no UI focus.

So here I am, stuck on a planet in a srv. Today when I logged in my ship had disappeared, and I don't know why...

UI focus works (for both, the ship and srv) in the default config, no need to rebind it. Default is pinky trigger + silver hat. If it doesn't work for you it's likely that there is something wrong with your drivers. I have a similar issue and always need to keep the saitek software running in the background.

Now that's weird.
Try to bind the individual panels on 1 2 3 4 keys to see if your head moves at all.
Yep, I actually loaded the Keyboard+Mouse bindings, and I was able to enter the bottom UI panel, call my ship and board it at last.

Now I have to reconfigure my custom bindings from scratch, so it's the (first and the) last time I'll use my srv [ugh]

Now that's interesting. I'll try to reinstall my Saitek drivers and see if it changes something. Thanks for sharing this !

Well it's definitely something on your end. Have you checked if the pinky switch works in the Saitek software? Also are you using any profiles?
I am not using any profile, and the pinky switch works fine in Saitek software. But above all, it works fine as UI focus button when I'm using my ship. I'm pretty sure it's something on my end, but I have no idea what else I could try.

Is there a way to dump my whole control setup, so I could post it here ?

Something that just came to my mind: IIRC UI focus bindings get shared between the ship and the SRV. While there is a second binding option for it, you don't need to bind it. I think loading the default config leaves it blank and it still works with my setup.
So I suggest try loading the default config another time and see if UI focus is blank for the SRV.
