Unconventional Tactics Designed to Distract "those using unsportsmanlike behaviour in an untoward fashion."

I like this idea very much. I already play in Open and fly mostly Cobras because I like them and their speed has saved my skin a few times from trigger happy commanders.

So I will outfit a Cobra just for this like this:

Cobra Runner

http://coriolis.io/outfit/cobra_mk_...485569-.AwRj4yKA.AwiMIz3ZyA==?bn=Cobra Runner

with a tactical graphite skin to blend into the background

turrets to annoy pursuers, if shields go down silent running, chaff and heat sinks

should be able to boost around 450 without cargo

maybe downsize fuel tank to 8 tonnes to save weight when in the target area

cargo rack to actually do some deliveries or smuggling missions

Repped for thinking this through!

I'd suggest: carry cargo .. dump all on interdiction, and if possible destroy all cannisters, before the offending Commander destroys you. On completion of mission, self destroy self.

more or less the same loadout, i will put a 4D fsi, though, should allow to interdict large ships more easily and has range A. and a class 3A powerplant. ah - and i will put a bright yellow paintjob on. to bring some colourfull hapiness to all those cmdrs out there.

In my experience they will probably submit anyways because they want a fight so no need for expensive fsdi. A power plant is lighter but also 500k. Want to keep rebuy down.

valid! :)

Just having a mess about making a pure interdict and run ship;

http://coriolis.io/outfit/cobra_mk_...---35486o---.Iw1-kA==.Aw1-kA==?bn=Road Runner

But that site does not update speeds. So I have no idea how fast this would go until I equip mine that way.

www.edshipyard.com does update base speed, but does not show boost speeds :(
http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=702,,2-6u6Q6u5K4s5U5A,4-O7Re9tu

A base of 320 should be fast enough to escape unharmed

around 450 m/s boost. anyway faster than everything.

I got my Cobra Runner ready :)

But I couldn't find burst laser turrets that quick so I fitted pulse laser turrets but will keep a lookout for them.

Will try this build out later tonight, however, the comm goal systems are around 150 ly away. Will take me a few jumps.

I have no comment for the thread really but I just want to say I love how the title has changed on 3 occasions to be less direct.
What's coming next? :) My vote goes to:
"Proposed amendment to maybe create a plan to conduct some form of action to perhaps induce a different action on those that conceivably could be acting in a differing way or potentially holding an alternate point of view to some players... In my opinion."

The utter daftness of this appeals to my nature. Firstly its harmless and is akin to playing knock down ginger. Secondly it actually serves a greater purpose, to annoy those who are frankly irritating and finally it has the potential to unite the easy going people of the galaxy.

Now if only we knew who the code members are. That's my stickler. I don't and I wouldn't want to irritate others by mistake with collateral interdictions. Isnt it impossible to know who is who?

I find this thread hilarious. Let me point out a few things you might not be thinking about as you plan this all out:

1) It's been tried before and has failed miserably. This is not a new idea.

2) You do know when you interdict one person in a wing you're not pulling over the whole wing, right? That one person in their own Cobra/Python/whatever just tells his wingmates in Teamspeak "Hmm...getting interdicted by a player Cobra. Don't worry about it, one person drop in with me in case she has friends, the rest of you stay in SC in case she jumps, then pull her over and kill her." And that's exactly what will happen. Total time wasted for the wing will be about a minute or two. Seen this happen time and time again.

3) Your own PvP skills and game mechanic knowledge aren't usually up to par with the bears you're going to be poking with that Cobra stick. You'll wind up getting mauled and seeing a rebuy screen more often than not, "high speed Cobra" or no. But hey, everyone - including me - has learned this lesson at one time or another in the past. Seems you're about to learn it yourselves in the near future.

4) Some groups really hold a grudge bordering on the psychotic. We tend not to since we know it's just a game of internet spaceships and a laugh in good fun, but others take it far more seriously and you may wind up in some sort of silly vendetta where every time you venture out into Open you're hunted down and killed. Or your TS server gets DDoS'd (boy have we seen THAT one). Or you get doxxed.

So with those points in mind, as a friendly reminder you should be very careful what you wish for - you may just get it in spades.

I recommend you venture out into the YouTubes and Twitches and actually watch videos of the players and their compatriots you think are so bad you feel you must venture down this silly road.
You might just learn something. For free. And it won't cost you a rebuy screen.

Sorry. Too long.
And the title has only changed once.
I was sure the second part in " marks changed yesterday and then the first part changed today. Maybe im just suffering from onionhead and old age.
Made me chuckle anyway so thanks for that. I'll stop talking now before I get off topic :)

You aren't the only one; I'm sure it's changed at least twice (therefore three different titles); the first bit of the title was "suicide something" wasn't it? And the second part was "giefers" ?

I prefer the Cobrakhazi (as suggested by someone else earlier). Not only is it a pun on Kamikaze it contains a reference to the name of the preferred vessel and English toilet humour.

Not to be confused with Cobra Kai, who are silly love-to-hate pantomime villains. :D

Comitting suicide seems a bit of a waste of ship, AND you won't be able to prevent them from attacking other ships for long.

I still prefer the Cobra interdict, dump vegetables, blast away approach. That way you can actually keep doing it forever, or until you run out of vegetables, preventing them from attacking any other ships.
