Another possible new category (stellar) - deepest nesting of a stellar body: 245 G. Carinae A 5 A is a 3rd-tier stellar body

That is to say, it is a star orbiting a star that orbits another star, without any binary relationships.

Theoretically, a 4th-tier stellar orbit is also possible, given a sufficiently heavy primary star.

Congrats to you explorers. I spend 3 hours last night exploring with the ADS, and made a disgraceful 30k. I could have made well over a few million trading with that time.

Did you have the Detailed surface scanner too? 30k is about 3 systems on average

Trading = work.
Exploring = fun.
Different category.
I dont want to get as much from trading as from exploration because in that case I would have no incentive to trade anymore...

Also, exploration isn't as expensive as trading, so doesn't require the same kind of monetary rewards. That being said, we also haven't found all the kinds of rewards we'd have expected from deep space exploration, either. For me, at least, this thread is sort of a stop-gap while waiting for the really cool stuff to come online. :)

I've found new heaviest planetary body.
Wregoe LL-Y D11 AB 1 A at 3,799.8275 Earth masses. What's more interesting, it just orbits between two system's main stars :)

Here's a screen:

Updated Op with latest records and categories!:D

Is there a record for most T tauri stars in 1 system?

Not yet but happy to add, What's your entry?

>Closest star systems to each other - Benoit and Zeta Doradus at 2,718,686 Ls - concolor

Nice, I'd been wondering that.

That's the closest that we know of at the moment

Don't know if this is significant, but yesterday in Col 285 Sector ZR-Z C14-4 I found two pairs of moons orbiting very close to each other. Never seen this anywhere else.

There's some touching moons out there, I think I've mentioned them on this thread somewhere
edit:It's actually on another thread check out HIP 110733 4's moons

Body with the most moons - HIP 60061 A 10 with 12 moons - Martianmr

I found one with 13 moons, see screenshot.

Sorry for interfering, Patau, but I like things to be precise and I think that records shouldn't be included unless they are proven by pictures. Currently it's not the case, as some posters haven't done this properly, eg. here rukmerot hasn't showed us all the bodies in the system (rukmerot, please, present pictures as spoilers in the future) so we can't verify his claims unless we go there and, actually, not only is the name of the system wrong (it's the name of a planet and it's wrong in your first post, too) but the number of planets seen on the pictures are different than he's claiming (I've counted 60 including the one that is blurred, not 61 - i.e. his 67 minus 6 belt clusters) so could be the number of all bodies. Everybody can make mistakes and this is why we should have an easier way to verify than to explore a system ourselves (I'll try to explore it anyway, but it is going to take time).

There is a similar issue with John Xenir's claim: his picture doesn't show the name of the planet but the name of its ring, instead, and this is why the name in the record is wrong (it shouldn't have A at the end). Moreover, I see on the picture 3,799.8276, not 3,799.8275 as he claims - perhaps it's a very small error but people, please, double check when posting because even such small errors can sometimes matter.

Rhysling, I'm waiting for your picture - there are many ways to present pictures without having forum rights (eg. an external link). I would love to see such a nice record proven but I'm too far away, currently, to verify it.

To be more positive: rep for CMDR Gerakis (largest body with ammonia-based life), SuperJogi (HD 217086), Minudra (smallest body with ammonia-based life) and Morkel (13 moons).

Back to exploring (BTW, my adventure with Lakon T-9 has surpassed my wildest dreams ;) - you wouldn't believe it, Patau, unless you'd see it again), I've forgotten to mention it earlier but, surprisingly, there is an unclaimed record in a system that almost 6000 commanders visit per 24h: Thinnest ring (in a multiring) - Leesti 1 A Ring at only 538km
FY0WeSN.jpg

Furthest distance between two Federation systems: 17 Draconis to Exphiay at 718.2 Ly
Xk6jeP4.jpg

Furthest distance between two Imperial systems and Furthest distance between any two inhabited systems (I'd like to remind that these two I claim in the name of martianmar): Quince to Fehu at 914.35 Ly
ZRVfvXb.jpg

I've had a lightest neutron star, as well, but it's already been beaten by SuperJogi by less than 0.08 solar masses :)

Have you seen it? They've vastly changed Jackson's Lighthouse !!! Nothing about the magnetar, the catastrophic collision of 2 white stars and the destruction of the Federal system some hundreds years back... and the system is consisting of less bodies, too! Is it because the collision would have unleashed so much energy that many systems should be affected? That's sad - it had been such a great story to imagine...

There were 2 of these, can't remember the system name, but I'm still not far away. I'll try and find it tomorrow if anyone cares :D

Patau also can you rename the earth-like category records (lightest, heaviest, largest, smallest) as "water worlds" records as most of those came from before "water worlds" appeared and my record for example was for a water world now. Keep the earth-like category just move the records I'd say as anyone who had the records to actual earth-like can just resubmit.

thanks for spotting mistakes, I think he meant 61 including star, "Thinnest ring (in a multiring) - Leesti 1 A Ring at only 538km" should be the total width of the multi ring so I've put it there, I could also add Thinnest ring in a multiring if you want. cant believe I missed that one, that's even where I saw you!

Yes, check sizes etc

done but they were immediately beaten, unlucky
haven't moved Enders, is Etznabihik Mangk C 5 still earth like or is it now a water world?
Smallest ringed star, was the last scan of the day so i will do the detailed one tommorow
