Old:
Heaviest Black Hole - Mintaka B with 37.5938 Solar Masses - Nutter

New:
Heaviest Black Hole - EORD FLYUE AA-A H152 A - 42.1641 Solar Masses - Darius Torkalar

I'm guessing this will probably be the largest as well though it shares a 0.0002 solar radius with Mintaka B.

Can't beat anything on the main list yet, but I'm going for the special list from the "book":

LARGEST G-TYPE STAR --- solar radius of 10.112
COLDEST G-TYPE STAR --- 4,543 K
OLDEST G-TYPE STAR --- 10,301 M years

Oddly, this one seems to be the smallest, yet heaviest in its category:

HIP 53763
SMALLEST C-TYPE STAR: 103.9824 SOLAR RADIUS
HEAVIEST C-TYPE STAR: 1.8750 SOLAR MASSES
HOTTEST C-TYPE STAR: 1,533.00K
YOUNGEST C-TYPE STAR: 11,161 MILLION YEARS

This is a great idea, I love the shear number of different entries really means I'll be paying more attention to my discoveries, thanks!

As an aside since there is no in-game screen to see where you've travelled I created a simple log analyser.
It's a basic web page with a bit of script and you point it to your log files.
You can examine one or multiple files, no installation, run from anywhere, doesn't send data anywhere.
(there are also a few tickbox options)
It's not fancy but it's functional!
Please see my signature for the box.com files link.

B TYPE RECORD ENTRY

I would like to submit 12 C1 SCORPII under several of the Class B categories.

There maybe ones I have missed but I think it covers:

Most Bodies
Oldest B type
Coldest B type
Lightest B type

EDIT

Oldest B Type Star - 12 C1 SCORPII - 161 Million Years - Cmdr Minudra
Coldest B Type Star - 12 C1 SCORPII - 11,275.00K Surface Temp - Cmdr Minudra
Lightest B Type Star - 12 C1 SCORPII - 1.9919 Solar Masses - Cmdr Minudra
Most bodies from a B Type Star - 12 C1 SCORPII - 45 bodies in system - Cmdr Minudra

Regading metal rich planets check my post on kepler-10 2 on page 36 in this thread

Don't be so sure you are on the same page as others ;) Eg. for me the thread has still only 13 pages - posts are numbered for a reason.

Some information people might find handy. I didn't know this and so I reckon there's other people that don't as well.
I noticed that the 'Furthest body from star' was blank and I was wondering how I was supposed to measure this without sitting at the planet and targeting the star it orbits.
It turns out the the 'Semi Major Axis' is the furthest distance, in astronomical units, that a body in its orbit gets from the sun it's orbiting.

Here's a copy paste from wikipedia for all those interested -

In geometry, the major axis of an ellipse is its longest diameter: line segment that runs through the center and both foci, with ends at the widest points of the perimeter. The semi-major axis is one half of the major axis, and thus runs from the centre, through a focus, and to the perimeter. Essentially, it is the radius of an orbit at the orbit's two most distant points. For the special case of a circle, the semi-major axis is the radius. One can think of the semi-major axis as an ellipse's long radius.

View attachment 8388

This can then, in turn, be used to give a more accurate reading of the 'Closest body to star' as well, which will probably need to be redone from its current 'under 1ls'

Nice find but I cant add CLOSEST BODY TO STAR - SETATI B 1 (0.60AU) just yet
here's a pic of the current holder:
DVA9Eg1.png
the only problem is the system has now been renamed and cant be found!:(
@Ender do you have any idea where this system might be?
also I've found a way of finding systems such as PLAA EURK MH-C C13-2 keep search PLAA EURK MH-C C13 and it will go through systems starting with PLAA EURK MH-C C13-0, then PLAA EURK MH-C C13-1, etc...
edit: oh yeah, I've update records!

Sorry, but the problem is that the semi-major axis is a distance measured from the center of mass, not the center of star so it cannot reliably be used for this purpose. How such distances could be measured roughly in-game you could see here analyzing the methodology used by me confirming the distance from the center of Keling B to B1. I am not sure it's worth the effort to have such records, though - with luck I might be persuaded ;)

Keling is probably not in the game since Gamma, but we cannot be sure because of the bug in the nav search option. Your method Patau doesn't work when the bug manifests - I had already tested it before I've created a ticket, but you can, of course, try it with my P Puppis (the close one with a black hole) or Praea Euq TT-A d31, or even just Lonchakov Orbital from Korro Kung.
