I started preparing this yesterday so if any have already been superseded then I apologise.

HOTTEST RINGED STELLAR BODY - Cancelled, Bromshweiger immediately above me beat it by 8k.

Finally I'm particularly proud of this find because it blows all previous ring records out of the water!
it is so wide, I had to take an image at the outside edge targeted on the central star using my canopy struts as guides. I did the same at the inner edge after heading to the star in a straight line.
I took Speed of Light to be 299792 km/sec.

Coldest "Class I Gas Giant" ...

* Trianguli Sector JC-U a3-2 7
* 3K

Seems it's also the Coldest Gas Giant in general.

Not far from absolute zero that...

g2SQm8H.jpg

Of these I don't have a screenshot (was just making my own records list in LibreOffice with data-only):

  • Oldest T-Tauri Star - Synuefe YK-N c23-15 A -- 89 MY
  • Heaviest T-Type - Trianguli Sector IC-U a3-1 -- 0.1016
  • Largest T-Type - Dirone B -- radius 0.2738

please type entry next time so I can copy and paste
HOTTEST GAS GIANT WITH WATER-BASED LIFE
TYC 2683-3935-1 1 WITH 309K
that's actually coldest with 206K

very nice, that's the coldest planet ever found!

I think this might be a stretch but I am going to go for the Water World with the lowest surface pressure.

PLEIADES SECTOR GW-W C1-15 11
Terrestrial water world with no atmosphere! So 0 surface pressure.

Screenshot_0025.png

Although if that isn't good enough I will go with PLEIADES SECTOR AQ-Y D52 2 with 0.27 atm

unfortunately as your first entry has no atmosphere it doesn't count:(
the second entry actually goes in the terraformable category so no records there either, sorry

new record!:)

Nice to see more explorers in this thread! Here's one record candidate...

COLDEST HIGH METAL CONTENT PLANET
AUCOKS TB-O c9-12 AB 1 WITH A SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF 44K

By the by, is number of asteroid belts/belt-clusters recorded (or will it be recorded)?

(If they are, "Erne" system has 33 individual clusters, in 4 separate belts).

no as providing proof of the number of clusters in a belt would be a lot of bother, but I could add system with most asteroid belts:) you got a pic?
here's a few more new records!

Took a look at some old sightseeing pics and noticed this might make a candidate for one of the freshly implemented categories...

EARTH LIKE WITH THE HIGHEST SURFACE PRESSURE
COL 285 SECTOR WE-Q c5-11 A 1 WITH A PRESSURE OF 2.78 ATMOSPHERES

[edit] I accidentally put in a wrong screenshot first, and can't delete the attachment...sorry for the inconvenience.

How old is the pic? pre 1.00 don't count as many earth like were changed to water worlds
