I'd like to submit this monstrous Ammonia World as a candidate for:

HEAVIEST (MOST MASSIVE) AMMONIA WORLD at 283.2946 Earth masses

and

HIGHEST SURFACE PRESSURE AMMONIA WORLD at 106821.49 Atmospheres.

The same system has a nice Earthlike too.

old record;

YOUNGEST F-TYPE STAR
10 BETA CAMELOPARDALIS A AT 1 MILLION YEARS

new record;

YOUNGEST F-TYPE STAR
EOCK PRAU KB-X d1-1 A AT 0 MILLION YEARS - CMDR CALBARON

youngest F type.jpg

There's another much close to home that you can marvel at. Think the name was HIP 18119 ... it's about 500LY away only from Sol so just a quick hop

Made the pilgrimage, it's perty!

The 2 other earth-likes are towards the right and up, little blue blobs :D

Linking to a full album on imgur, although usually I like to hotlink to the .jpgs themselves. Bear with me.

CLOSEST MS-TYPE STAR TO SAGITTARIUS A*
MYRIELK GH-T D4-9551 A AT 1440.18 LY

(again, there are ms-type stars much closer to sagi a*, I've personally run across a couple on my way out but totally forgot to make a record out of them, so meh...)

Back from my trip (in RL). Added the latest records.

Please post future records as described here.

ps. the category CLOSEST HIGH METAL PLANET TO SAGITTARIUS A* is missing, instead having been replaced by CLOSEST TERRAFORMABLE HIGH METAL CONTENT PLANET ... I blame careless copy-pasting by certain parties ;)

pps. I think there are quite a bit more errors as well... you guys might want to go over all the records I posted during last week again (closest terraformable rocky is missing, closest class II gas giant finder is missing, closest a-type star finder is missing, closest terraformable water world has been copypasted twice and closest water world category is missing, and the terraformable water world finder is still the previous record holder... well, here are a couple :p a full go-over might reveal more :D)

I will now go check your distance records and see what I can salvage ;)
EDIT: Fixed. I hope I caught them all.

Good candidate for,

CLOSEST C-TYPE STAR TO SOL
HIP 363 A AT 867.48LY FROM SOL

CLOSEST C-TYPE STAR TO A HUMAN COLONY
HIP 363 A AT 581.54LY FROM BD+22 4939

Hmm... this probably is actually the first class V giant I come upon after the super-hot one from time before I reached Sagi A*... not very close, but at least we'll get another blank filled:

CLOSEST CLASS V GAS GIANT TO SAGITTARIUS A*
MYRIELK SD-B E5920 A 1 AT 1,783.13 LY

On a side note I don't think I've seen a single helium giant ever yet in this game. Are they exceedingly rare or have I just been unlucky? :)

Cheers for the effort. I knew errors were bound to happen, considering the sheer amount of records I was going to post once at core.

ps. Eh? Why no ---ADDITIONAL CONTENT POSTED AUTO-MERGE--- stuff ? Bleh, this forum sure works mysteriously sometimes

they seem to be very rare the only one's I've ever seen are in LHS 531, check them out the system map is already discovered

found another G/F confused star: HD 25361

previous one was HR 207.

I guess the question is, is this just a case of "bad system description" or does the stellar forge really use F-Class parameters to calculate the metrics?

If it is the former, then the Galaxy map G classification should count for records.

Has anybody ever found Class G supergiant descriptor? If yes that would rule out descriptor being wrong!

Hmmh, can't say anything about the f/g... there are some red dwarfs being described as red giants, though. Check out this image I posted jokingly earlier in a postscript, and the corresponding galaxy map description

EDIT: Hey, a new record:

IMAGE LINK
HOTTEST TERRAFORMABLE WATER WORLD
SHROGEA ND-H D11-4917 B 5 WITH A TEMPERATURE OF 519K

ps. I think I need to go and visit this place... a slight detour but heck, why not. Can I post a record already for system with most wolf-rayet stars? :)

Found a GREAT system and it bugs out on me.. No textures on the planets and missing size/mass info:mad:. It was all fine until i exited open play and loaded back up in solo to take some high-res screenies.
Might be worth a punt at a new record category anyway... if the book-keepers want to accept it:):)

GAS GIANT WITH MOST LIFE BEARING MOONS
BD+48 4225 8 WITH 4 LIFE BEARING MOONS

Screenshot_0060.jpgScreenshot_0054.jpgScreenshot_0055.jpgScreenshot_0056.jpgScreenshot_0057.jpg

A helium giant with 3 terraformable water-world moons and an Earth-like moon...
And it had 2 water-world binary partners...

Screenshot_0058.jpgScreenshot_0059.jpg

I bet it's going to screw me when i hand in the data for this system:(

Mode-switching has a tendency to do this sometimes, I've noticed. Especially if you do it quickly, as in just exit to main menu -> re-enter in new play mode. Suggest taking a few minutes break when switching modes if in uncharted territory :) (may or may not work; who knows, probably even Frontier does not)
