So, is "HIB8" the clue needed, or does the story just go on regardless of what we do ? (if this has anything at all to do with UA)

Hello, first time posting here but i have been following this debacle and given it alot more thought than i would like to admit.

Galnet have an interesting article today https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/55ae28209657ba461e357514

god dammit, Dark Wheel again.
Is this the full story here?
http://www.elitehomepage.org/dkwheel.htm#A50
i think i will read it now to find some clues...

the article itself says nothing related to the UA i think, but it could again be a hint.
"Missing Senator" could be a hint for us to read it, and then at the end it mentions "Dark Wheel" again...

HIP 8, both of them are just normal systems one of them is empty of planets. It could be that you need a UA to see anything interesting in the system. But that would mean that only the lucky people who have a UA will have to visit both systems and test them out.

Salomé came up empty on the galaxy search.

An with out a picture of the symbol that gives us no leads.

An I presume all the missions involving Dark Wheel have been completed, so if they were meant to trigger anything it would have happen already. May be we should be trying to follow dark wheel vessels with a UA and see if they lead us anywhere.

Sorry, Typo. Was "HIB8"

Then, I've "jokingly" asked if they can make mrTree FIND another one in a "short time"... didn't get a reply, so far :D

BUT...

May I suggest to mrTree, when he comes up, to go hunting some SSS? You never know... ;)

Not being funny, I understand you feel guilty about this but I really don't like the idea of trying to get Frontier to intervene.

It's a lost UA, lost ENTIRELY due to player error, it's done, leave it there and let's move on, we will find more. This was not lost to a bug and does not need artificially "fixing".

We update the wiki, learn the lesson and we move on.

I don't think, using dupe glitches, talking to a friend who works at Frontier trying to get information, or logging support calls to fix our own blunders is the way forward.

For me such things undermine the work people have put in, people have put long long hours UA hunting. Maybe I should have just logged a support call instead. =/

I was also really interested to see if Mr Tree could find another one quickly, if he does I now am unable infer anything from that. =(

Salomé is thought to be the lady who danced for herod and asked for John the Baptist's head on a platter. All those dead sea scroll documentaries I listened to while trying to reach the far side of the Galactic rim are paying off lol. I'll hit up Google to see what else I can find.

Afternoon guys.

I know we're just stabbing in the dark here but whatever.

The morse thing. Did we get a final set of coordinates or numbers or something?

I saw this posted on reddit, and got thinking. If we did get a set of numbers, maybe they could relate to a certain station. Never noticed before but they all have numbers... (see image).

Like i said, stabbing in the dark.

Failing this, hopefully something gets posted in regards to the CG's tonight.

I wouldn't rule this out at all.......would fit the STARING US IN THE FACE model :D - Fed Convoys carrying UA's so why not Fed station numbers?

You cheeky sod!

Well it is a bit cheeky, although probably scientifically accurate.

It is Senator Loren's "nom-de-guerre" from some of Drews novels. It isnt a cause of a wild goose chase.

For me such things start to undermine the work people have put in, I sincerely hope Frontier don't "magic one in". I was really interested to see if Mr Tree could find another one quickly, if he does I now cannot infer anything from that.

Don't worry, "FORTUNATELY" they cannot do anything about that.
So if mrTree or anyone of us will find an UA in the next hours, it will be just a mix of luck and perseverance, as usual.

So, I wonder, should we put out a player made gal net article searching for an "imperial courier flown by Salomé"?

Maybe we can see her in game. Does any one know where she might be? Any lore experts?

My thoughts are she left a decoy copy of her ship and went out to "batman" the galaxy. Leaving her tiara behind could be symbolic of the past, and the medalion a hint of the future.

Well that's not what you said above.

You said you asked them to artificially increase the odds of Mr Tree finding one. =(

They didn't reply, so you then advised Mr Tree to go hunting because "you never know *wink wink*"

But it's done, no point in stressing about it.
