I figured perhaps he was suggesting the thargoids gave us an Audio version of our very own "Voyager Plate"
We could work out a decryption of the star, followed by planets using magic or smth.

after thought: to my knowledge no one has tried to work out a "system layout" from the UA recording as a whole.
If the UA is solvable without the aid of sound analyses equipment perhaps there is a pattern in the sound itself that would "paint" a system.

I have updated the wiki to reflect this, I have moved Formidine Rift to disproved and added a note to that effect. Another avenue crossed off the list.
Even if a system would be PERFECTLY painted, you'd have 4 billion systems to search however.
And, how many systems will resemble that perfectly painted one?
If it's a system the UA wants, we need a name.

- Search sector (51,50,0), as suggested above, and look for the 8th brigtest or massive-est star.
- Search for Federal Station 51500.
- Sacrifice 51500 cans of fish to the Frontier Gods give us a hint.
