I'm quite new to the mystery, really only sticking my beak in since the new thread kicked off. So, I'm far newer than most and have input far less than many of you. In that regard, I have less invested so would be willing to take that pill if it was thought fairer. That said, I'd back your play on this, LordZoltan.

On another note, regarding the impact of the GalNet story, is the thinking that the UA is more on the Cure side or on the Kill side? Given the mention of promotions in the convoy chatter and my indefatigable optimism*, I'm leaning towards Cure.
Is the UA technology in finite supply and the authorities are deploying them to innoculate only those regions that they can? Is it simply a wall of silence because the 'hard call' says others must face an agonizing death with only the most meagre of medical supplies* to comfort them in their final hours? It would explain their reluctance to issue any sort of statement.
Mind you, what in the name of Jameson** does listening to the UAs have to do with that? I'm veering back to an earlier belief that Michael Brookes asked whether people had listened to them because it was not too much of a give-away of anything, and could just easily (and quite fairly) be chalked up to the man being proud of the sound team.

*Booze, just booze
**Not the booze

This is quite a valid statement but wouldnt you think mr brookes should be telling us if we are on some sort of wild goose chase, i mean he obviously reads the forums so some sort of input would be nice. i,e sorry guys but i was just thanking the sound team. Or carry on chaps it is a puzzle and you are doing jolly well. I mean if we actually do know that there is something to be solved then at least this would spur us on.

Ah man... I gave you a wave earlier.
I could have helped, but you didn't reply to me

So you were that guy! I was sitting around away from keyboard for some time. Saw the message on my comms eventually, but completely messed up with the panel. Didn't find a way to answer. I would have! I just didn't know how to, and still don't, with the other pilot not being around to select him. Sent a bunch of /r and /w messages to the system though!

Quite frankly guys, it's very honorable of you to offer yourselves to take the red pill, but that's not up to you.

If anyone should do it, it should be me.

How long have I been around? Less than a week! I have nothing to lose.

Hell, I have never even played this game! Even having preordered it, my computer simply doesn't handle it.

I have spent pratically null effort into this and I'll just stay away from a game I've been cut off of since day 1.

The only sad thing is that I won't be able to talk to you anymore, I guess. After the greenlight, that is.

And by the way, who should I contact, and what should I ask? As soon as I know, I'll do it.

Never mind matey... I should have sent you a friend request. Just sent a request :)
To be honest I just got fed up with all of the gold traps I kept encountering, blatted a few small ships... ran out of ammo and bugged out

Seems Timocani can still deliver ;)

Based on that logic, then I'm going to own up to being the undercover FDev at this party, and suggest that my job has been to ensure that this snowball kept rolling along, gathering mass, keeping the interest levels high after the Morse was discovered, because it was clear that if that was all there is, there'd be a lot of annoyed people...

I knew it! ;-) ;-)

Just my tuppence worth on the Karrash discussion.

I feel that it is unlikely that anyone who is not under a legal contract with ED will be told their secrets.

Unless he/she is an ED employee.....

he/she is probably being used as a conduit to pass hints on. ie one of the devs contacts Karash and gives him/her a titbit to pass on. There is probably little point in harassing Kerrash coz we already know everything that he/she does.

Unless he/she is an ED employee.....

Honestly - and with silly booze jokes quite put aside - I can't think much either way right now. What I do suspect is that the mention of a subsequent mystery, be it who made them since they seem non-human, or wherever else it might lead once this 'chapter' is resolved, there is a continuity at play. With that in mind, perhaps the Morse/sounds are not so important in the immediate now but will hardly be of no value as the story progresses. *Honest shrug* I don't know. But perhaps all the talk of a Rosetta Stone earlier in proceedings is made beneficially moot now: perhaps what Kerrash was intimating was that this group of mad sciencifiers have made gains in providing that for subsequent chapters. Perhaps a basic building block is now in place for us to proceed more surely in the later chapters. (I ruddy well hope so!)

Kerrash is an Ambassador I think, I wouldn't be surprised if an NDA has been signed.

I don;t think we need any clues, just more UAs.

More UAs in the hands of curious CMDRs means more experimentation.

We could always kidnap Zac and hold him hostage until FDev gives us a hint.

He seems cool, I don't think he'd mind haha

We just need a white van, I'll pm Zac to find out what his favorite kind of candy is.

Pm sent. Now we wait.

I still think it's a good test to take it way out into deep space.

An hour of SCing or something like that. It would be nice to see if it has limited range on the scanner.

More about Kerrash.

Data from his Forum Profile.

First - its kErrash not kArrash.

Second - hes a software developer.

Third - amongst his friends are several ED developers.

If he doesn't work for ED - he's certainly very close to them.

His real name is John Virgo.

He's been associated with frontier since at least march 2014

All information is from publicly available google search.

Conclusion.........???????

He's an official Ambassador.

It's quite possible he's signed some sort of NDA.

There's a 50/50 chance as theirs been two confirmed convoies where one stays long enough for that to happen and the other jumps away after a while, the wiki says about it.

and I do the same to you.

right.
That's why I'm bringing with me a Wake Scanner.
In the first case I'll just wait.
In the second, I'll follow.
I think it's possible to avoid fight, or at least avoid fight with the escort and engage just the T9 at the right time.

Wake scanners are bugged and don't work, I thought? Last I heard they were horribly broken (a month ago)
