Hmm just wondering, and I'm sure the answer is yes.
Has any UA holder actually accepted and completed one of the SAP8 missions?
I think Zenith did it...

Just to say, I knew these things weren't that big but cripes, they're tiny! (awww bless! =p)
So man-sized? (pilot for scale)
(apologies I know this has likely already been talked about before but y'know)
Thanks for the pictures, very nice. The size hasn't actually been talked about much. Has me thinking escape pod or alien HE Suit again. Such a sad face on our alien friend in the second photo.
Look at the "triple fish head" end plug. Fantastic details.
We should have pictures of this quality from all angles.
I got an Unknown Artefact btw, I'm in a bit of a state of shock right now to be honest, really need to go lie down.
It jumped it lost Anacondas, I took down the shields but just could not get a bead on the cargo hatch, mainly I think due to the panic, when it happens your heart starts racing.
My shields were going down (against a bloomin T9), using shield cell banks I then resorted to trying hatch breakers, it took 2 breakers to get the UA out.
Sorry no screenshots, I wasn't taking any risks with anything besides getting just straight to dock and landing.
Are there any rare items that like filter leeches or ear grubs or anything Babelfish like that could be placed in a cargo hold whilst listening to the UA. I haven't personally browsed the entire rare items list yet, hence my asking.
I just had the same thought, that it might be an Escape capsule, it would explain why it broadcasts the name of whichever system it is in at the time
It's close enough to make my ears up. So the UA could be malfunctioning, coming "online" and then losing it again in a cycle? :/
My ears aren't good but it certainly sound to me like the UA is trying to charge up something but then it loses power or fails to initialize what ever it trying to charge.
I think people have forgotten one other clue, and that the UA spawn only in a certain region of space, we still haven't answer than question yet.
Got to do work for the rest of the after noon but may be there a reason they are spawning in that region of space.

The Certain region of space = Deep space
I took the "Obfuscation" mission that is deliver some crystals to the other station while carrying a UA. No change in the mission text or outcome.
I tried the same thing at Shinrarta Dezhra but I couldn't get an "Obfuscation" mission provided by The Dark Wheel, only the Pilots Federation. Taking it to Nuenets didn't make any difference that I could tell. No new missions showed up in the list at SD either.
I know nilreb has been taking SAP8 missions because that's how he's getting quantities of legal SAP8s.
I want to remember to all of you a very important detail about the UA: there is a countdown occurring, documented and prooved by the purrs going faster and faster toward the final explosion. If we decide to let one explode, we MUST record the FULL CYCLE, until the very end.
First, because something in the sound could really change near the end (the morses too perhaps)
And Second, to see how much fast the purrs will go.
Could be, in fact "have you listened to them, until the end?"

I've just made some video related to that, to almost destruction, next to Jupiter's moon "Io" where in theory we should get a massive amount of complete cycles due to the short morse name. Just uploading. I think it's showing nothing though but haven't gone through in detail. =(
Half day holiday for me today. I'll be online in a very short time and I'll be with yours...
I was thinking more area in the galaxy.
So far all the systems that have UA appear are fairly close together, as in a couple of hundred light years of each other.
