Yeah the clicking starts up just prior to the location block, then the morse comes in, the clicking continues throughout, the morse ends then the clicks quickly slow down.

It's this clicking you're referring to right? If that's what you mean it's always been there, sometimes it's more obvious than others but it's not new.

It's essentially like an "envelope" marking the location morse.

Yes, that one.
But what I mean is: if there are sounds that "appear" or "disappear" in particular conditions, there could be other sounds that we have not heard, never. Still.
@Ratking15:
It is almost the same sound, in your video and in mrTree. But what I'm saying is that there could be other sounds that are there, and we did not hear them until now.
Trying to listen to the UA with an Orca, that is the most hated ship in ED, almost nobody owns it, while the UA is chanting like a Whale, then like a Dolphin/Orca, all the time... still let me think.
But I'm a jolly good funny guy, and that could be a jolly good joke from ED.

Can I just ask what the plan is or what the point of the group is?

I'd like to know as well tbh

I think it might have been related to having a minor player faction called The Canonn, possibly based in non contested space away from all the riff raff. Or Timocani. So we can meetup in space and do space science, distribute tinfoil hats, eat biscuits and generally 'make our own entertainment' like we used to in 1984. Like a hoop and a stick, but in space, with science.

Something like that.

I'm just helping out, as there seems to be 50 people who are into the idea. I'd personally like to create a private server for UA hunters and experimentors to be able to join at any time.

Let's say some one is hunting UA alone, and they come across the convoy. If they are in the private server they can call any one in the group for help without attracting trolls. As long as you hunt on the server it will be the same as hunting in solo with the added benefit of reinforcement.

For events like the biscuit barrel this kind of server would be great.

Also if a test is to be done, cmdrs can group up in the server for protection from outside cmdrs

Also with the example of bast being a good source for SSS we could avoid the CODE or other pvpers by hunting on the private server

I think we can probably best achieve that within mobius tbh, then we're not all confined to a group with just 50 players in it. However, I think that coordinating (lets say 'herding') 50 players (lets say 'cats') might be a challenge, so we'd need some kind of tool to do that... ;)

That works too :) tbh I'm just in this for the massive friends list haha I have no desire to lead or be on the council

I think the angle I'm coming from is that my experience of groups has been they turn into a pi**ing contests with politics and egos where those in charge get all shirty if you don't do as you're told. Essentially like Powerplay but with actual aholes instead of imaginary ones.

I just wouldn't want to see that infect and ruin this side of the game. If we'd had folks at the top laying down laws in this thread it would not have been helpful, I think one of the great strengths of this has been the freedom to suggest and experiment with the utterly ridiculous!

But I also don't want to be out of the loop if a group starts up and it all becomes "exclusive" like.

I'm kind of an independent pilot/scientists/researcher y'know. =p

You have to give all your worldy possessions to me.

Well should of asked before you signed up. :D

The real answer is I don't know.......but I am hoping it will involve more mystery, more ridiculously high forum activity, a continuation of what we have had over the last three months or so (without which this game is going to feel empty now for me) and clarification of the galaxys supreme biscuit.

I have my own ideas on the last point but this isn't going to be a dictator ship (even though I know I'm right)

Personally, I'm not on the council. I just want to be able to stalk you guys in game. Is that so much to ask?

Politics and leadership arnt my thing, but as Arcanonn says if something is discovered at least we will have a collective to respond quickly

If you have any suggestions please feel free to bring them up, as there is nothing currently set in stone at this moment.

...you do know that's like a red rag to a wall of text from me, right? *Fails to find an emoticon that looks like a cross between vague apology, well-meant enthusiasm and campy faux shock*
Perhaps it should be handled in the Groups forum, thrashing out ideas and notions.

As much as I like that you guys are banding together, I'm always going to be an imperial loyalist, stealing your research and hearing your morse.

Also missed jumping on the Q&A bandwagon, what, no suggestion for a module to tap out morse from your ship so you can talk to the UA like a pet rock? Disgusted, done with you guys now! ;)

None of that will be a problem BTW...this won't be a you must turn up at x o'clock or be kicked out kind of child's play group. After all with the amount of...well..shall we say strong personalities?....we have anything too rigid would implode...as your rightly suggest.

Call it a loose alliance. I'm going to be pushing for minor factiondom though. ;)

It will be aside from other in game loyalties. So no worries there.

Dude :p I'm just in it for the friends list. That's why I volunteered to collect the names.

What ever happens with the structure is out of my hands completely

I like the idea that there is no leaders or council. Pretty much the way it is now except were all on each others friends list haha

I have an Orca at Shinrarta, I think your idea's pretty unlikely (to put it mildly!) but happy to do a recording if a UA holder is passing by and wants to.

I'm staying still right where I am unless something requires me to move. I.E. going to another system to do a system specific test.

Agree, we should have a clause written into the statutes* that anyone exhibiting aholeness will be immediately ejected (into space, filmed and rescooped within 6 minutes until they learn their lesson) and refused access to biscuits until further notice.

It doesn't have to be in any way hierarchical, just 'a place to hang out'. This forum has been fine so far, but hard to keep up with, so maybe some simple coordination is in order. A place for things like gathering the troops for a mass lock FSD test for example.

Arcanonn would be the figurehead, the guy on the front of galactic scientist magazine, but we'd be the grafters, the whitecoats behind the scenes, grubby fingered, goggle wearing sciencers. And it need not be exclusive (aside from a firm 'no ats' rule, and we've proved ourselves pretty capable of politely handling the odd at tbh.).

* I'm joking

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I have no ambitions beyond janitor around here, so I stepped up to clean up and tidy the list of names. It will be published tonight :) the first 50 names should be in ever ones inbox before tmrw (western Canada time)
