Been having a go at powerplay for the first time this week, which is to say I've been doing nothing but mining and now I've unlocked the mining lance, googled to see what it does and found this page which says it's obsolete:

Apparently I should be using the modified mining laser which I can get from LTT 198. I wouldn't have found this info without google which leads me to think - is there a list of non standard weapons/modules/etc? I want them all
