Unofficial Post-Beta1 Fleet Carrier Survey

Hey, remember the previous one? Well, after everyone had a chance to try (or at least watch someone else to try) fleet carriers, we made another survey to hopefully give frontier a picture of what community thinks of them. This one is bigger, better, stronger, faster, more resilient, and we have collaborated with some prominent community members to make sure it is as fair as possible to everyone.

As per Frontier instructions, we are not allowed to post direct links to the form, so you will have to find it in a reddit post.

This survey will run until 27th, and results will be posted here soon after.

UPDATE: due to various personal reasons I will be unable to get to processing of the survey results until 30th of this month. Due to this we have decided to keep the survey running until then. Expect results at the end of next week.

UPDATE 05.05.2020: 3055 players took part in this survey and here are the results. Thanks to Yamiks, Down To Earth Astronomy, The Buur Pit, CMDR PLATER and Exigeous for help with questions.

Pretty well-rounded survey. Some questions (like galactic averages) really need a sliding scale or entry, but that only makes data messy.

Overally, very well designed and I think it asks the right questions the right way. Looking forward to the results!

FWIW, i still maintain that there should be a wind-up/wind-down depending on the jump distance and that NPC interaction with the FC should be core. The cross-platform dependency is also key but probably needs working on.

That's an excellent visual portrayal of the data 👍

If you look at the demographics, it might be reasonable to conclude that about half of the respondents were well able to afford a carrier or were almost there ....

... which is fair enough, because the Beta was aimed at those players, and they should be having the most to say about where FCs should go with the game.

I can also see why FD set the price at 5 billion.

And it also suggests a balance of respondents. About half can afford them, about half don't have the credits, so I'd say those of us who can't afford FCs cannot complain we aren't represented here.

I expected "less than 1 billions" to be at least half of the chart, but as you point out, those players (for the most part) weren't inclined to participate in the beta or the survey.
