that would be depressing, i hate making kids sadThere are probably children on the forums. Can you imagine telling a child irl that you think their favorite animal is stupid?

We have very few kids here thankfully (I wouldn't call this a kid friendly enviornent anymore), I just think even for adults it's just unhealthy and problematic to act so unempathic. There are probably children on the forums. Monkey enjoyers being forgotten about for 3 yearsCanid fans crying about being forgotten when we've gotten at least two canids every year meanwhile waterfowl fans are just happy to finally get one for the first time.

I don't like the inclusion of some animals in the game, but it gives nothing to me to insult others on a personal level for their wish of it's inclusion.
There is just such a huge difference between stating your opinion and wishes vs. calling others cry baby because they aren't happy with this years animal choice or calling someone inferior because they like species X.
It’s honestly just variety in my opinion. It’s cool to have a white tiger for example. And just because there are different colors, that doesn’t mean that a conservation group can’t have themAnother one:
All these fancy colormorph really do send a wrong message in a game that otherwise really focuses on conservation, especially on the critically endangered animals.
Im not talking about colorvariations, those are perfectly fine. I mean stuff like albinos, melanism and so onIt’s honestly just variety in my opinion. It’s cool to have a white tiger for example. There are probably plenty of conservation focused facilities with black jaguars for example. A genetic mutation doesn’t necessarily take away from the conservation aspect, at least that’s what I think.Im not talking about colorvariations, those are perfectly fine. I agree to some degree. I think their presence would have been excused, if they had a management function attached to them in Franchise.Another one:

Black panther are kinda an exeption here since they occur naturaly so often. There are probably plenty of conservation focused facilities with black jaguars for example. A genetic mutation doesn’t necessarily take away from the conservation aspect, at least that’s what I think.
I see your point now. Yeah, I like the color variations, and yeah, they aren’t ideal IRL, but at the end of the day it’s just a game. Besides, it’s always interesting to have a little pop of color sometimes, a little uniqueness. It makes sense why we have variants in PZ in the first place, because yes, they can happen IRL.Black panther are kinda an exeption here since they occur naturaly so often.
But for stuff like black rhinos something like albinism has negative conservational value, you cant release them to the wild for multiple reasons like health problems and an even bigger target on their head for poachers, and therefor breeding with them isnt something you want to do either. Which essentially makes them dead weight in any breeding project. So they are essentiall reduced to zoo attractions which really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and kinda reminds me of those freak shows with albino people back in the day.
Just my opinion ofcourse, and since its a game it doesnt really matter all that much anyways
Yeah true. It just feels like they are portrait as something desirable and sought after in the community and by frontier when in reality they are the oppositeI see your point now. They clearly don't, or else we'd have unicorns and T. rex.7: Realism is a nuisance. I'm glad frontier ignores it.
Bat-eared and fennec foxes are both pretty common in North America. No idea where you got this from but ZTL is not at all a good resource for the US and Canada.I assume your american so just as a note they are kept in only one Zoo in north america
