Hi all- long time player looking to return from hiatus and get back into PvP- does anyone know where to go for up to date info on weapon balance and the like? Try as I might, all I can find is outdated info or vague references to balance changes in 2.3 or 2.4 (and of course there is no mention of said changes in the patch notes). I'm looking to get hard numbers and smart, common sense advice- last I played heat meta was all the rage, but that seems to be so last years news.

PAs and Rails are flavours of the month. Most other stuff is still viable with the exception of heat cannons which are bugged and very overpowered.

Thermal cascade on cannons specifically is a thing, it is suspect and probably bugged. There are multiple bug reports open concerning thermal cannons. In the last one as I recall, Mitch said they were aware of the issue. Not sure if this is an acknowledgement of a problem or just a generic response.
