Not sure whether this fixes the current "Discovered By" bug. That wasn't rare and it affects planets as well as stelllar bodies. We'll see when the patch is available.

Good news, and (perhaps) bad.

I discovered an unclaimed system with 62 objects (including 2 stars, 2 belts). I Detailed Surface Scanned all the stars planets and moons.

When I returned to sell the data, all these had "Detailed Surface Scan" in the "Data to sell" report, and all gave the "First to discover bonus" and showed the "Discovered by" tag in the Systemn Map. So the bug is fixed.

I don't know whether data which was scanned before the fix and sold after the fix will get the "Discovered By" tag. My guess is no.

The new problem seems to be that the detailed surface scan bonus is not applied to all the scanned objects, even though "Detailed Surface Scan" is shown in the report. For example:

Star A 201cr
Star B 1203cr
A1 360cr metal rich
A2 413cr metal rich
A3 456cr rocky ice
A4 20419cr terraform candidate
A5 13731cr terrestial water world
A6 3126cr metal rich
A7 511cr icy
A8 1785cr class 1 giant
A9 1727cr class 1 giant
A10 914cr giant with ammonia life
A11 1689cr class 1 giant
A12 3279cr metal rich

Some of these look wrong. Star A (class M4) has the value of a non-scanned star, compared to Star B (class L1) which has the expected value for a detailed surface scan.

I think planets A1 A2 A5 A10 are also the unscanned values.

I'll raise another ticket.

Changed system name ‘Bodb Djedi’ to ‘Bodedi’

Was that because at first glance it looks like "Boob Job" , well it did to me and that's what I called it ;)

One of my favorite systems is "Bodb Den" ahaha. I wonder why they changed the name??

Dammit.. after patch i suddenly get a fine for carrying cargo that isn't even illegal at the station! i was transporting imperial slaves and have done so many times before to the same station, now i got a 1.6m credit fine for transporting non-illegal goods  :(

I've raised a ticket regarding the problem, please look into this...

Could it be they were triggered stolen? Or it could be station changed alliance. What system map tells you?

What system were you in? I'd like to avoid it until that's fixed...

Will the day/night cycle of earth be set correctly?

Hey, I am not alone!!! Have ticketed this, posted on the forums twice.

It needed to be changed because it inadvertently triggered testing code added by David Braben:

if (stristr(station_name, "db")) { ... }

No the bug is not fixed. You just happened to scan one of the systems that aren't bugged. Not all of them are.

The previous bug persists where many systems still don't attribute tags at all.

Did you see the bug in a system which you scanned after the 1.1.05 patch was applied? I don't expect that data which was scanned before the patch will be correct.

Not on your nelly, you would NEVER let a Dev near a production server. The server team would take the changes and script and test applying them to the production instances. Developers shouldn't even have access to the production instances of possibly read-only access to get bug tracking data.

M

I'd be willing to bet everything that I own that more companies have Devs update production servers than have Game Masters do it.
Want to bet against me? You can go ahead and mail me everything that you own, because you aren't going to win that bet.

And still the 'kill count reset bug' has not been fixed!? I've reported this before 1.0 even, multiple times... It's really a very annoying bug.

In kill missions (kill x rats, or x bounty hunters, etc.), if after killing several targets an alternative is offered by some ship in a USS, the kill count gets reset to 0.

Please please fix this! I like kill missions, but this is bug really a pest and can't be -that- hard to fix!

Nice meme Mr. Developer, kind of discredits everything you say after that tho.

(Also, don't even bother as I have finally put you in the naughty list, i'm tired of all the nagging all the time)

In that case - cool story bro, enjoy the rep that you'll never know where it came from. This is childs play to the stuff I got on reddit :D

I'm just curious why the file size of the patch is never added to patch notes (in any game) ?

That's also a good question. It would be nice to have it before downloading it. Not all of us have a 10 Gb internet connection and would like to know in advance how much data have to be downloaded...

Yes I found a new undiscovered system, did a surface scan on every body in this system and sold the data. No notification for new discovery and no discovered by tags. Exploration is still broken. Note that this doesn't happen for all systems as I have tags in some but many others are bugged and the issue pre-1.1.05 remains. Sadly as it's very frustrating for explorers.

Nope.. independent as it always has been, i've done this route many times before with no problems, comms even said i was scanned clear... and the goods were bought not picked up... :(

Its pretty annoying.. 1.6m is alot of trips going to waste.. not happy :(

Going to try it again and let them scan me again...

UPDATE!

Tried doing the trade again and they fined me again.. funny thing is they say im clear and fine me anyway?!

+1 to this! I've been hit with it a number of times. It has even caused me to fail missions because I was nearly done - and nearly out of time - with a 6 kill mission and got a counter-offer that I had absolutely no interest in (no, I'm not going to slaughter authority vessels, I like my faction standing, I need it higher not lower).
