Update 1.1.4!

...
FINISH IT !!!!!!!!! [mad]

Could all this not have waited until April? You know they're working on a lot of things and what's coming soon is expected to be big in terms of addressing people's concerns so why raise this all here and now? It's a one ride update (no more no less), the majority are satisfied with that. Sometimes you just take your passion for the game too far in my opinion.

I understand that people can be irritated about opinions of others. Obviously, Angelis is very passionate about Planet Coaster. Let him be; everyone is free to have their own opinion about the game and it's development.

Personally I'm very happy with this surprise update. Don't let opinions of others ruin your own experience. There's no need for that. :)

Just bought this game on Steam a few days ago! I'm loving it, but it does seem to have a fair way to go yet. For instance, in the RCT series, I loved building swimming pools of some complexity, and there are no water rides other than flumes as far as I can see!

Will these be added to the game at some time? [rolleyes]

Never the less, The graphics and character models, the fun, is all there. The interface seems fairly stable, but I think there is room for a lot of tuning as I should get a lot better FPS and less delays with my high powered rig. [up]

Hi Bumbles,

Glad to read that you love the game. :)

Swimming pools in the RCT series were part of an expansion pack for RCT3. Planet Coaster does not have expansion packs and/or DLC yet, since the game was released on November 17, 2016. The next major content update will be in mid/end April 2017. It is very well possible that there will be more content updates for Planet Coaster after April (free and/or paid).

Whether swimming pools will be part of a future expansion/DLC (free or paid) is unknown at this time.

Update 1.1.4 (featured in this news bulletin thread) proves that Frontier, the developer of Planet Coaster, wants to add more content to Planet Coaster. They are very passionate about the game and they love what they do. We're all looking forward to a bright future and a long lifetime for the game.

Ahah ! Yes, I know ... At least that was the case before. Now I am much less "passionate"
That's why I'm a lot less active here. Between the "politically correct" attitude, always positive, hypocritical and without interest, that some kindly made me understand that I had to adopt on the forum/official discord, If I wanted to continue to benefit from the "kindness" of some, and ... the mutism ; I have chosen !

Sapienti sat, and sorry to have given my opinion (or not)

Oh, this April update must be big... Personally, I always say that this game is an artistic achievement and it's still the case. But, there's so much lacking on management side that I'm bored very fast with the current state of the game. I still hope for improvements and I'll see in april update if they care about this side of the game. Let's hope that the gameplay will be as awesome of creativity and ambiance. Else, it would be a builder game with too basic gameplay for my personal taste.

That is a fair statement, we just dont know what is in the april update and how frontier intended the game to be played, from all the looks if it its intended to be played as a sandbox game but maybe that will change soon we dont really know.

I hope that they will put the hole micro and macro management in an Add-On, cause I like the game as it is now and I hopping for more content a few more themes and more licenced content would be nice (aka Disney, or HW, or Dr.Who or Star Wars or whatever...)

I really hope not! It would be awful if they begin to put too many add-on. But in sandbox, they could just not enabled this kind of management options and/or give the player the ability to enable/disable these functions.

I don't really care about playing it as a challenging game, I just like to play it as a sandbox game to build parks. I prefer for everything to run on auto pilot, except for hiring janitors and mechanics. I'm looking forward to see what is in the April update. We are still missing some rides that are in RCT3. Like Gravitron, Round Up, Rotor, Thunder Bobs, 3D Cinema, Fun House, Crooked House, Mirror Maze, etc. How about a larger Grand Carousel? A regular large classic Ferris Wheel? A sky ride/ski lift? Sports cars tracked ride? Observation tower? Space Shot/Power Tower like the ones at some Cedar Fair parks? Kiddie planes, kiddie cars, etc.

It's the little things that excite me. Like the memory leak (or bug, or something) that would crash around 30 hours into continuous playing - now gone, not happening after more than two full days letting it play.

Hooray, Frontier! That was annoying and required a full reboot every time. Thanks!
