Yes. I hope Frontier are going to address their distribution technology at some point, as it's vastly slower than all the popular game distribution platforms and I am extremely unhappyto see that that people are feeling the need to disable vital security software, placing themselves at risk of data loss/identity theft/etc, to try to speed it up.

I was done in a couple of minutes. Are you sure its FDEV? ;)

Michael, first of all thank you , and big thanks for the whole FD team. But couln't we choose a color of our decals in future some time? I have a "pirate skin" on my python, and "poison" green skull decal is not pretty at all :(

Decal colours are automatic from the paintjob. This isn't likely to be changed. But still a ticket in and we'll look at changing the automatic colour.

This was supposed to be an edit of my post:

Is it me, or did they break joystick support?

I was playing last night just fine. Now, only 1 of my joysticks (thrustmaster TM1600) is detected by the game (I was not using for ED).

Last night, was using CH fighter stick, throttle, and saitek pedals just fine. Today, after 1.1 patch, only the TM1600 is detected by the game.

Saw this the 1.1 notes...um...

"Allowed supplemental devices to be used. They count as PCPads (for example independent throttles, custom control panels)"

Maybe something went wrong?

If there had been a note easily assessable when I logged in to advise me of the changes, perhaps I could of avoided the 350,000 insurance claim, the 20,000 fine for failing to deliver and the 300,000 cargo I had in the back of my rig. Good communication to your customer base is what separates the good from the not so good ... Make the changes come onto my screen when I load up, then if I choose not to read them, I've been given the opportunity to do so.

+1. FD really need to improve on this. Patch notes spread across 4 threads on a forum is not adequate. There should be release notes on the website.

I have to say the new collision damage model is complete garbage i crashed into a Cobra in my ASP at like 80 m/s and we both instantly exploded.
Also a few days ago i bought a sidewinder to test if it actually explodes if you crash into something when your ship is filled with explosives and there i went into a station at more than 140 m/s and didn't even loose much shields and also didn't explode. So please fix this untill then i am not playing Elite anymore as i don't want to loose my ASP for the second time and start over in a sidewinder again. (only have 1K creds and already had to take a 20k loan to get my ASP back with my loadout)

We've identified the issue why some people clipper's aren't loading and so crashing the game. We should have a new build within a couple of hours with this fix.

Michael

Thanks for the update, would you like tickets on this issue to be kept open or closed with this post as a reference?

As someone who worked in QA/CM for other games I think it might help out with workloads :D

I'm amazed at how much people complain in such a short time... it's like this is the last update to the game... *insert dramatic music here* FOREVER! *dramatic cries at background and violins everywhere*.
:p

Hold off on the tickets, you can always raise them after the fix if it turns out you have a different issue.

Downloading at 0Kb/sec for the last 30 mins, I only have a 100Mb line 30 miles from London and Cambridge...
;-(

The bandwidth Gods must be reading this, as soon as I hit Reply my dl started and is at 30Mb/s now

i think that collision issue is a massive priority for fixing in MHO. the idea in open play another ship can sneeze against my fully kitted T9 or clipper and i instantly explode is not a thing i like to contemplate happening to anyone there are numerous videos showing it happening from the beta showing it occuring and many people have voiced it occuring to them since 1.1 went live.. i thinks this a little worrying especially as there is currently no official response on that issue.

So much for the AI of stations not going terminator. Just watched a twitch stream where the station just vaporized 6 ships in a row. If you see a station killing everyone while you are about to enter or are already inside the station, make sure your landing clearance was not revoked without warning (like his was). Run away, jump out, turn around, and jump back in and see if the AI reset fixed it. It worked for the streamer, and he was able to land. So it still looks like more than 5 CMDRs at a station overloads the game. Wait until a few people land and are removed from the instance before trying to dock, or you too could lose hours of grinding (if trading especially).

|there is currently no official response on that issue

There are plent of issues they do not repond to, and most are major. At least with the ramming, they put bounties on those griefers though it does not help those affected by it, so it is just a half-measure.

I think it wasn't mentioned as fixed, so issue still exists.

One bug I have experienced after the patch is that the transition from moving inside of a station or back to the surface is missing a lot of mechanical moving sounds, it's now very quiet and weird.

Also, the new 'transactions' window has a really weird thick orange colour to it. Very different from the other HUD parts and in my opinion not a great improvement :(

A big thank you to the dev team for working late to get this done. I don't own a Clipper (yet) but great to see such a cracking level of commitment to the game.

Frustrated. Bounty hunting still is nowhere near as profitable as trading, the imbalance goes on. Encounters are still the same old boring stuff. And now i exploded immediately in my postpatch gimped Viper after ramming a darn Conda which i usually could do at least once, losing +300k of bounties. This imbalance is just frustrating.
