7 hours downloading to get to 50%...
And once the 1.1 is downloaded I need to patch it?
I'm going to bed, no doubt the download will crash overnight and I'll have to start it all again tomorrow :(

Hello, i was just toasted by an anaconda because my weapons would not gear up due to power problems and i waas trying to fix the issue during the fight.
before release 1.1 my power output and surge was exactly at 99%, now it is at 106% !!!

That means, either the power output of the A power generator was reduced or the power surge of some of the following weapons was raised substantially (beam lasers 1,2 / Rail Gun 1 / Missile Dumbifre 2).

It would be great to ad this rebalancing issue to the list of the changes to avoid another CMDR to be toasted out there in his VIPER.

Fly ambitious...
CMDR St-Rs

If you have a shield cell that is probably the problem

I agree that bounty hunting should be improved, but sho should NPC AI difficulty. But bounty hunting should NEVER be "balanced" or similar to trading.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The game's tagline is "Blaze your own trail", and as such gives the idea that progression through the game can be achieved in whatever manner you want. Currently bounty hunting rewards do not scale with ship costs, so when you're in a Python you can't even keep up with the running costs of a large ship, let alone make profits towards a bigger one.

It seems weird that the tagline should be more like "Blaze your own trail! Except in the late-game, where mining, exploration, bounty hunting and piracy become nonviable due to the way ships, modules and repairs are priced."

All those Elite Dangerous books where the story is about Bounty Hunters? They *obviously* have a benefactor who does nothing except trade Brandy, Milk, Corn and Eggs all day. (Being invited for breakfast, incidentally, is something you won't wanna miss!). Mastopolis Mining corporation? Their big secret is a cadre of traders who secretly siphon funds back to the poor miners who toil for very little money indeed.

Trading is all about profit as a result of commerce, bounty hunting is not.

I have no idea what this adds up to in your head. Presumably the bounties paid out are as a result from profits, in part, made through commerce. It's all part of the rich economy of the game! I could argue that trading is actually a relatively safe and boring way of making money, and so the profits available should be balanced with bounty hunting where the risk of dying should be very real.

My point is that there's definitely a scaling problem, where the metric and scaling of cargo capacity has no meaningful translation into other disciplines, and really should.

I've seen 3 others post in this forum after me with my exact same issue.

So let me ask...Do you have them all grouped in CH software as one controller? If so, that's why. The pedals are not a CH product, so I couldn't group them if I wanted to. With me/us they are individual controllers. See what I mean?

Not me either; I don't use the software for the way I set up my full CH rig. Elite reads them as 3 controllers. I lost usage during the 2-device bug but nothing this time, not even a need for a rebind.

pretty much the same here , pedals gone , not detected all worked fine pre patch of 1.1

Since 1.1 I can't assign my second joystick axis anymore...
Windows still sees it and I can use it with other games.

Primary joystick is still recognized.

Primary stick : Warthog and Throttle
Second stick : Sidewinder FF2

Can't play till this is fixed. Don't like to fly with the warthog since it has no rudder on it.
I use the throttle with all the buttons and the Sidewinder for flying.

This is a pretty big deal for me too, I have a new card coming but cannot use it if they have broken the two sticks functionality, this should probably be posted on its own thread

I originally posted about this in this thread (not all controllers detected by ED after 1.1). It looks like several others are impacted the same way since 1.1.

Summary: pre 1.1 had 6 controllers plugged in: 2 joysticks (using one for ED), pedals (for ED), thrust (for ED), and 2 cougar MFD's. Using the one joystick, thrust, and pedals for ED worked fine. Post 1.1, using more than 2 controllers does not work.

Don't judge me :))

So, when using the docking computer my Python is coming down with a significant bounce since this patch; its making me wince every time it lands... Where-as, it was nice-n-smooth pre this patch.

That said..

Loving da-patch :)

- Damage is now calculated at both ends and each apply half, it should no longer be possible for one party to miraculously escape undamaged from a collision
- Changed the mass/velocity to damage calculation, it should now be more consistent and harder to damage large ships with small ones, even at high speed

As mentioned, this clearly isn't working as intended.

If you ram a bicycle (Sidewinder/Eagle/Viper) into a fast moving semi (Python/T9/Anaconda), which one gets 'blown up'? Hint: It's not the semi. You'll be lucky to scratch the chrome.

Looking around at some of the other issues being reported, I'd say the lesson to be learned here is that an update of this magnitude requires more than a mere week of testing to properly vet.

I'm guessing you either 1) play in solo 2) do not fly a expensive ship 3) are in a sidewinder having the time of your life 4) are a sadist wearing nipple clamps and dripping hot wax on your crouch every time a ship gently nudges you. Or are a combination of these.

I'm going for 2) and 4) :D

I like the subtle changes to visual and audio. Great work from the audio team!

BTW, on my first route in 1.1 I was interdicted by a 'friendly' Federal Navy ship, didn't attack me, it just flew away.
I'm neutral towards the Navy and slightly progressed in rank.

I was a bit confused, I thought interdictions are illegal? Not for army ships?

Wow: I've found 231 items in 42 systems! Thanks for that! :)

Allegedly, I have found 20 items in 4 systems. Interesting...

Anyway, I think I'll leave my Python parked for a little while. I don't really need it blown up by an NPC Sidey, or worse, a Station camping CMDR who had discovered that this is the new Dumbfire Stationcamp™ exploit...

Exist a updated list of scanned objects for each commander as this? http://dump.bass-speaker.com/discovery.php

Where does this data come from?

Well all I can say is that I downloaded the new installer in an hour was up and running in less than 30 seconds and completed a "kill 3 pirates" mission for a very handsome reward and rep gain with no lag, no glitches and completed the task way before the deadline. Well done guys for all the fixes you've been working on. Great sound, great visuals and it even made me look good! Me and my Cobra thank you :)

Michael posted it. The site mostly just made it readable, as it was a 150MB xls.

Updated fine on one machine, downloading at some pathetic kbps on another, both connected to same gigabit switch on same 50mbit network connection.

How is upnp set up on each machine?

Is there any way to turn supersampling off? If i set it to 1x it overheats my gfx card, if i set it to less everything is blurry. My gfx was good enough before this.

Try limiting your frame rate to 60 FPS (if thats your monitor refresh rate). 1x means no supersampling.

I'm gonna give this game a good long sleep before v3 or something exciting comes around. Still same old boring stuff. I'm sorry I invested my money into this skeleton of a game. Kudos to audio and visual guys and girls. You did a great job! But everything else is empty and hollow.

If it is like most of the ruleset, then none of the NPCs will have this applied. Since they are just spawned and then
culled, there is no reason to track fines anyway. Eventually they will prohibit non-criminals from randomly interdicting
PCs, but not today.

Then you were lucky mate! It slams Lakon 6s, 7s, and 9s around like crazy. It once slid my 9 right off the bloody pad, and had to try it again. That is the reason they artifically reduced damage when landing. If you hit anything else (e.g. side of station) with that kind of force you would see significant to catestrophic damage.

Yeah i found a problem in my cooling. Also did limit my framerate.

I just got rammed by an npc viper in my a4 shielded clipper. 10cr paintwork. No shield loss, no kaboom. I also tried dying by collision in an adder and couldnt. Leads me to think its a bug for some folk and they should ticket it.
